This is one of those indie masterpieces that almost no one will play or know exists. It brings to mind Yoku's Island Express, which was also incredibly unique and well-executed yet got nowhere near the attention it deserved IMO. I hate it when titles of this caliber fly under so many peoples' radars and are ultimately forgotten in a matter of weeks.
I loved Yoku's Island Express! I've been keeping my eye on this title, but still hesitating to get it with the $25 price tag.. Do you think gameplay length is worth the price or should I wait on a sale?
This is why i really love your channel. You highlight gorgeous games like this that might not get a lot of mainstream coverage. You all have drawn my attention to several games i might never have discovered so thank you! 😊
I was a massive fan of Super Dodge Ball and this gives me the same feel in an updated way. The only thing im leary of is the price tag. It seems like a lot for this game. I might need to wait for a sale.
Any idea if there will be a physical version?
Reviewer here! Not sure, I don't think Humble Games generally does physicals unless they were to partner up with Limited Run. That being said, I think $25 is super fair for something like this, as the story mode is pretty significant and it's got tons of replay value.
And I jumped on this the moment we got it! I had been looking forward to this for a while and was suuuuper glad we got the chance to review it.

The "If Camelot made Super Dodge Ball" approach sounds fun, though I can't help but miss Kunio & company a bit.

The dodgeball game play reminds me of Regular Show Grudgeball mobile game. It was actually pretty fun.
It's been a while since I've played a game I've never heard of on Game Pass and was so pleasantly surprised.
Fun and engaging gameplay, genuinely funny characters and dialogues (often in a cute way) and feels like a mix between Pokemon and games like Mario Tennis.

I'm gonna get this game for the Switch. I love the cartoony 2D art style and the game looks like a lot of fun to play. Reminds me of the games in the early and mid 90's.

The Cake is a Weird Lie, but that art style really is hideous. That said, the gameplay looks pretty on point, might have to give it a go
