    Which printer did you think was going to win in speed, and then in quality?
    Leave a comment below! I would love to hear your opinion!
    I'm beyond Impressed by the quality of both of these printers.
    Did you see the Z axis absolutely FLYING around on the a1 mini? lol. That was pretty crazy.
    The Dampeners on the v3 are so good, it barely even shook the phone that was recording the v3 in this video. You can see that footage here actually!
    • Creality Ender 3 V3 - ...
    I am having a ton of fun with my new ender 3 v3. It feels like I got a brand new mega upgraded ender 3 neo! (my first printer)
    Now its time to start saving for a K1C :)
    The a1 mini is absolutely a mega reliable machine (as long as you didnt get a dud from the beginning. I printed tpu dampeners for feet and those help a ton but my table still shakes the room like pop smoke! lol
    anywho, I will add more to this later. I am burnt out. I was so excited about this printer I had pulled a double all nighter., so 2 full days without sleep and no leavin the house. Im about to go to sleep. I will update this more later, here are my other socials! reach me on facebook the easiest!

    For best results, use the number one table/base for all printers, the floor. Just look at all the shaking/wobbling on the mini. I guarantee you that the quality would increase by a lot by putting them on the floor or something very, very sturdy and does not shake at ALL. Please take some pictures for the comparison part, as pictures are best for comparison.

      Hey Gustavo! Thank you for commenting!
      When I got my a1 mini I got this Granite slab table about the same time.
      It is not the table shaking what so ever, The table the printers are on is 600 plus pounds, and is very stable.
      The A1 mini would shake the table a bit before I put the TPU dampeners, but i would wobble the entire table. Ive since also moved the table completely against the wall and I have silicone in between the table and wall to keep it from knocking at all.
      I noticed how aggressively the A1 mini was moving.
      It really only moves like that when I print this particular Benchy file. I can put it in Ludicrous mode (I usually use the stock slicer speed settings) and it wont even move that aggressive.
      The v3 really is the most stable bed slinger from the shakey perspective. Its already got some massive feet dampeners on it which probably play a huge roll but I think overall it just helps how the machine was build, and the material used. The aluminum alloy extrusions arent going to wobble at all. Its also got belts in there holding everything together tight.
      The a1 mini its a linear rail, a z screw and then the thinnest aluminum extrusion.
      I really do not think the table has anything to do with this one. They're both just running very aggressively at these speeds and they're going to shake like they're mad.
      Im curious if core XY printers shake this much.. Im going to do some comparisons and a more in depth video on the v3 here soon.. Im at 6 days of print time im trying to get to a week before recording my full opinion on it!

      @@fadybenmoussa2114 Sorta true, I purchased the nebula camera, its going to be here today actually. Yes it doesnt come with a camera but we can barely consider the a1 camera, a camera. That camera closer resembles a potato.
      The nebula camera is at least going to have AI spaghetti detection. I will also be able to watch the camera feed real time without feeling like im looking through a scrap book with my grandmother.
      The flow is absolutely tunable.You can either tune it directly in the slicer or in the web UI through Creality Print.
      Creality printers are open source. This printer has way more tuning capabilities than any of the Bambu lab printers. That is a major reason why I wanted to get it. I love tinkering on my v1 neo already.
      So that basically just leaves the AMS.
      I already have an AMS printer.
      This just challenges me to finally put my new air paint brush to use finally. So that takes care of any sort of need for an ams.
      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ To an extent there are printers that are better than one another but there are benefits to this printer and there are benefits to the a1 and a1 mini. Its totally all personal preference at the end of the day.

      Oooooh yeah, even just stock theyre insanely quick actually printing at around 300 mm/s straight out of the box without any fine tuning!
      Ive tuned it to be even quicker, and with improved quality even on top of it.
      My K1C shakes like its about to rattle the entire room apart. lol.
      My ender 3 v3 on the otherhand seems to be a bit more stable for some reason. I think it has to do with the wide base and thick rubber feet that help dampen the vibrations.

    • @Reds3DPrinting
      @Reds3DPrinting  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great observation!
      That is just the orientation that they were on the printers when I got them.
      I had a backup of my a1 mini SD card files, so I had the original 13 minute speed Benchy file.
      I also had the original Benchy file from the v3 because I just got it. :P
      I do think that Bambu labs has a different model of speed benchy oddly enough. Unless they just optimized it extremely well or something. I can just tell this model is different. (The one from the a1 mini)
      I feel like if I used that same Benchy model on the v3 from the a1 mini that it would also come back to being a 13 minute benchy as well. I think the v3 would be more quality too at that speed. I will have to give it a try
      Also I think they decided to orientate them the way they did so the overhang of the part being printed gets the most direct part cooling airflow. I could be wrong though, and maybe they could of just mindlessly decided to change the orientation. Who knows honestly lol I just remember when I had my one v1 neo ender 3 and thats it I would make sure the part was orientated so it would get a little bit of part cooling from that tiny 4010 fan

On this last one i don't like the way of loading filament, filament holder on the side, not to good first layer, can't adjust zoffset manually until prints starts, can't see any information, any numbers about auto leveling...Then full auto leveling process will take around 11 minutes, during that process 2 times fans will be so loud that i expected printer will fly off lol, i am really not even joking, it's like helicopter. The kinematic really didnt make a difference, and I totally get what you're sayin! A lot of people mentioned that. I just used the pre sliced file that came both on the ender 3 v3 and the a1 mini. Both of these benchys on each printer are already in Gcode format. So I am unable to alter them at all unfortunately. Otherwise I would have rotated it. Believe me! lol
      This is just how creality, and bambu both decided to slice benchys on their printers I guess. I still plan on racing them with my own benchies so its a more even match to see whos really "Faster"
      Personally I think the v3 is one of the fastest printers on the market right now. Its faster than my k1c!

    Oh how slow they start printing = ) My Ender 3 just heats up, and starts print instantly, I usually run preheat command while I am slicing so it starts even faster. But it would print Benchy for 50 minutes however = ) Fun fact, I never printed one. And never printed PLA. My first print was some printer part = ) No fancy dragons or 'lucky' cats.
    Actually I thought that A1 mini would win without any buts. But you have positioned ships in different axis = ) Used different filament. So this is not completely fair = )

    • @Reds3DPrinting
      @Reds3DPrinting  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used the exact same brand filament for each test the color is the only difference there =) I also know the ships are facing different directions. I used the benchy file that came with each printer from the factory. The benchy file I printed on the v3 is the exact same file that came with the v3 when I got it. The benchy file I printed on the A1 MINI is the exact same benchy file that came with the A1 mini when I got it.
      These files that are provided from Bambu lab and Creality are in GCODE format. So they are unable to be edited at all. Each company prides themselves with calling these speed benchys so I simply used their files because its alot harder to reach these speeds adjusting settings yourself. I believe the speed and acceleration settings are adjusted on these benchys so I went with them because theyre just quicker. Chuck, or CHEP has a video where he has found settings to get very close to these speeds with the same quality but its alot more work than its worth and I wasnt going to go through messing with a ton of different settings and confuse everyone and myself on a simple comparison video
      It only takes the v3 roughly a minute thirty seconds for the hotend to heat up to 300 degrees. I never print that hot so its usually even quicker. After installing KAMP to only level the bed where its needed it doesnt take very long at all to get a print going. Maybe 5 minutes if that. Similar speed to my ender 3 v1 neo

    • @enosunim
      @enosunim 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow thanks for the detailed comment! I did not think about that you used gcode shipped with the printer. This makes sense.
      Also this makes it even more cheated, from the manufacturer side. Why would I need that super speed benchy gcode if I can not slice my own models with the same efficiency. = )
      Thanks again, I was aware that they create special gcodes to impress, ... well, ... someone who can be impressed. But did not think about it in the way, that this is kinda another marketing lie. Like super speed (only on special PLA).

    A1 mini print fail 🤔

  • @johnh.miller1112

    My V3 arrives tomorrow.
    It appears to have noisy steppers compared to the A1 mini in your video.
    I own eight A1 minis and four full size A1’s and they’re relatively quiet running in the same room.
    I think I’ll be annoyed by the V3 squealing stepper noise.
    It doesn’t appear that Creality has optimized stepper movement like Bambu did.
    Also unless you have larger prints the A1 mini is a better deal. I picked up four @ $269.
    Vs the V3 @ $389-419 . depending on where you buy them.
    In conclusion I’m not even going to open the V3 and just send it back because of the noisy steppers in your video. The squeal is a non-starter for me.
    Also the cooling fans are too loud.

    • @Reds3DPrinting
      @Reds3DPrinting  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is understandable, I wonder what would be considered a good upgrade motherboard for the v3 if there is one out there yet.
      I know once the software updates to open source I will be able to install new fans and maybe a different style shroud. Thankfully Creality is open source so all of those issues can be fixed eventually. The stepper drivers are wicked loud, but a good solutions gotta come along sooner than later now that the printer is out. I'm very curious if the K1C will be any quieter. I will record another video once I get it but I think I will benefit greatly from the enclosure the K1C comes with. Hopefully that help with the noise a bit. Im just glad no one in the house is bothered with the sound.
      Its super interesting how the v3 shakes the table less than the a1 mini lol
      I absolutely adore my a1 mini! It would be so epic to have a print farm full of a1s! Great job on the setup for real. Do you run a printing business as well? :)

    • @Reds3DPrinting
      @Reds3DPrinting  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh yeah, I also would like to add that this benchy was printed with the stock speed benchy file that came on the printer. I know The speeds were set to like 300 mm/s on the slicer at 20k acceleration. I think that they may have had the speed turned up for this benchy. I could be wrong though. Ive been setting my speeds to about 220 in Creality Print slicer and its quieted the printer down quite a bit and there too much time added on.
      Like I said before too once we can ROOT the machine itll be even better too.

    Is the a1 mini big enough for wverything you would wanna print? or is the v3 the best option if someone like me only has one

    • @Reds3DPrinting
      @Reds3DPrinting  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I only had my a1 mini, it would not be big enough for me. Thats just my personal opinion though. Especially when using the AMS system, you want to load as many models on the build plate that you can so you produce less waste per model technically.
      I really really wish my a1 mini was a full size a1, but I am also very glad that I didn't have the full size a1 during the heat bed recall as well.
      If you are skeptical at all, id suggest going with the larger size. One thing that bothers me most is not being able to print bigger when I want to.
      The only thing I can really do about it is chop my models into pieces but then it messes with the structural integrity of the part and can potentially make it weaker, or just not look as nice.
      Id suggest going with the bigger size, I think youll thank yourself in the long run.
      If you are patient, If I had to guess. Creality probably has something cool in store regarding multi color printing set to be announced on their 10th anniversary. I really hope it is a multi color/material add on for our printers, and if it would be, Creality would beat bambu in my books all day long simply because its open source.

      @@scottmalcomson2181Youre all good buddy, seriously no worries at all I love talkin printers!
      So this is just my educated guess. Just using predictions and the knowledge I already know. Creality said that they were bringing color to 3d printing in 2024. What could possibly be a better time than on their 10th anniversary.
      I personally think if the v3 had a mmu, It would beat the a1/a1 mini all day every day in quality and speed.
      It really just depends on how much Creality will decide to charge in the end ultimately.. I hope its slightly cheaper than the full size a1 to give people a reason to want to order it instead because it really is a top notch machine, but I think people given the choice will just choose bambu because it doesnt require tinkering, what so ever.
      I could never call myself a 3d printer if I only had a bambu printer. Bambu printers require barely any tinkering but when something break/ goes out thats when things get difficult/expensive them..
      Considering all I know about enders I am extremely confident taking the v3 apart and stuff. Id be worried about taking the mini apart and I never ever have the confidence to do it with my bambu machines.
      I also expect there to be a new flagship bambu lab printer to be released soon considering they just adjusted the prices for the a1 mini

    Man this test is not good. The Benchy on Bambu is in false direction on heatbed. The heatbed has longer to move on bambu

      That is how the file comes from the factory. I didn't change anything. That wasn't the point of the test

      If you have a Bambu lab printer, go find your original speed benchy file that they had on the Printer or SD card when you got it. I 100 percent guarantee you that it will be oriented the exact same way.

    Hi, what is the difference between this model and the v3 SE. thank you

      Hey @10ProduccionesPixel
      There are many differences between this v3 and the v3 se. The v3 SE has the leasts amount of 'upgrades' straight from the factory. It prints a bit slower, and doesnt have as many capabilities as this v3 does necessarily. The v3 can print a slightly wider range of filaments, and it also has a completely different kinematic system. The v3 (no suffix) Has a core xz kinematic system, so the printer has no lead screw at all. On the SE it has two lead screws that are connected in sync by a belt.
      The v3 se is a pretty fool proof system, but at the same time things can happen, and also parts can wear. That isnt to say the v3 parts wont wear. I am not really looking forward to replacing the belt on my v3 when it snaps.

      Right! Its so gorgeous! Creality really did an outstanding job with this one!
      I honestly considered turning the printer around so I can constantly admire the core XZ belt system on the back! haha

      @@Reds3DPrinting I'm Brazilian, unfortunately the K1 is expensive for us Brazilians. I'm waiting for the Ender 3 V3 to arrive in Brazil to see if I can buy it and finally have a high-speed printer.
