Such an intimate & heartfelt interview. I so relate to the unspeakable horror of the loss of parents or spouse. Life is a huge struggle for everyone. This is real. More please.

it so true. I am 45 this week and I find myself getting tears in my eyes over simple things. Because when your out in the world 20 + years you start to appreciate how lucky you are and how amazing the world is.

Never believe negative pre conceived notions of what your life will be like especially from someone in charge of helping you make your way like a professor.

It's hard. It hurts, you cry, it feels like your life is over.
It's okay to feel like shit about it, and it's okay to grieve over everything you've lost - all the work you put into it, and all the hopes and dreams you had for the future.
And then you start building your life again. You've still got the rest of your life ahead of you. You're going to build something you will be happy about and be proud of.
I'm sorry you're going through this.
