    Everyone talks about the “billet” wheel, but ever since i did the KC turbine wheel upgrade ive been obsessed with pairing the “billet” wheel with the turbine upgrade for the most out of a stock turbo.

      While I agree with your sentiment 100%, that's not a Ford engine. It's a Navistar (International, Cornbinder hehe). I used to think it sucked that folks put Cummins in a Ford, but then I realized my own hypocrisy. Finally Ford did build their own diesel, the 6.7, from the ground up. At least it's not an Isuzu (Duramax)!

      @@barrynelson634 I agree 100 % about all these kids "rolling coal", completely stupid! Show me performance, not just a cloud of wasted fuel. As far as the engine, I own a 7.3 Ford and two 5.9 Cummins trucks, I would absolutely use a Cummins in any swap I could fit it in !! Although the 7.3 is a good engine (and my 2nd pre-emissions choice) the Cummins with an NV5600 behind it is far superior to the 7.3 with a ZF6

    • @barrynelson634
      @barrynelson634 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattywho8485 ...yes, you are correct. I also love that torque right off the bottom with a 12 valve. I've had that and a drive by wire 24 valve while Ford was going through their 6.0 and 6.4 problems. That 24 was not the same to drive, not as much fun by any means.

    Your 5th gen 4x4 looks awesome, love the 7.3l conversion, looks stock. I would keep the original finish. Can you please explain why you don't think your 72 F250 4x4 wasn't a "highboy"? My understanding is all 67 to 77.5 Ford F250 4x4's were highboys? You have the correct frame crossmember below the front bumper, looks like the narrow frame with 2.5" wide rear leaf springs, looks like it is/was a divorced transfercase, gas tank behind to bench seat, looks like a 75/76 Dana 44 open knuckle low pinion front axle. To me it looks like you have all of the parameters.
    Either way your truck looks awesome.
    I have a 76 Ford F250 4x4 Crew Cab highboy, I converted to diesel also but went a different route. It now has a 76 Detroit Diesel 4-53T, stock NP435 and NP205, I added a 3 speed '65 Spicer 5831 auxiliary transmission to split gears and OD, also added a '79 Dana 60 King Pin to handle the extra weight. I lenghtened it to a long box and I'm running 37" Wranglers with an additional leaf on all 4 corners with front and rear sway bars. It has some newer 6th gen parts but otherwise looks pretty much stock. It actually rides nice, not sure if I'm ready for a 16 hour ride yet.
    Thank you for showing off your beautiful truck to us.

    • @fordahlbilt
      @fordahlbilt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s 100% a highboy chassis and F26 titled truck but the purists will tell you otherwise since it has a side bed toolbox. “True” highboys don’t have them.

    • @johnt9906
      @johnt9906 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fordahlbilt I saw the toolbox and thought that was unusual, they're usually on 2wd or camper specials. I think you can get by with that one, just changing the box should not be grounds for disqualification, otherwise we should be disqualified our diesel swaps, that just adds to the coolness.
      I own a highboy and I usually correct people when their truck is not even close.
