I think your finger is supposed to slide across the Digital Crown to scroll, like how you would on a watch to unlock from sleep time mode. I agree it’d probably work better on the bottom, but aesthetically I think the buttons on the top.

I’m glad you didn’t complain about how the case looks, but, how the sound and quality of the build. Most reviews complain about things we don’t care about. Are they comfortable and do they sound good.
I have both, kinda up to you. For me I use the pros for when I am out and about/working out, whereas the max is when I am traveling or in house. But im sure you could stick with one or the other

Ok, awesome first attempt at these. I'm sure they sound amazing! But you've convinced me to hold off. The crown is in a weird spot, it charges via lighting and that case needs a redesign.
Many people don’t get the design of the case but it is meant to serve as a storage/carrying/shutdown case for the AirPods Max just as the respective cases for AirPods and AirPods Pro do. It even has a lid (the flap) that you lower to “close” the case. The design is not the best but that is what Apple was clearly going for with the AirPods Max case.
Will these mesh earpieces be a bit more breathable? I have a problem where my ears sweat easily so I was wondering if these would help with that a bit more than other related over ear headphones.

My bang and Olufsen H9 have touch control so I’m kinda used to swiping up for transparency and then swiping back down to resume But this is cool the way AirPods allow both at the same time that means it’s doing some kinda of live mixing
I’m guessing the lower volume on resume is to protect your hearing. All in all, the sound is exceptionally good. I was very impressed. Happy belated though.

You don't have to fully reach up and over the top of the earcup to turn the digital crown. You can simple use one finger to turn it.

You can push(slide) the digital crown’s side to control it :)

You don't have to put your finger over the digital crown to turn it. You just need to swipe on the crown, and that works very easily.
