8:54 People don't forget the USSR invaded Poland too. They are either ignorant or actively choose to ignore it, as its inconvenient to their Nazi bad, Soviet good narrative. The overarching theme being that only communism can truly oppose fascism/imperialism. Of course ignoring the fact that the USSR occupied the whole of Eastern Europe post war and brutally suppressed any attempts to change this. All the while, all of Western Europe became liberal democracies.

You can think of the devolved parliaments as glorified local councils.
They're given quite a lot of autonomy with things like housing, education, law and order, health, agriculture, sport, tourism, some taxation etc, but the important things that could impact the rest of the UK if mishandled, like defence, national security, immigration, energy, foreign affairs, trade, employment etc, are retained by Westminster.

I like CountryBalls because it's simplified stereotypical slapstick history, and doesn't pretend to be otherwise.
Valid point about Poland and the Soviet Union. Not a great time for moral decision making wise in Europe at this time.
Poland gained land from Czechoslovakia with Germany in 1938.
Soviet Union invaded Poland just over two weeks after Germany did.
UK almost declares war on Soviet Union during the Winter War with Finland.
Germany invades Soviet union. Uncle Joe and Communism are now our bff, or at least until we get back to normal!

Connor, the Soviet Union WAS an Ally in WWII! Without them, victory would have been a damn sight harder for "the other" Allies.
The Soviet Union lost around 27 million people during the war, including 8.7 million military and 19 million civilians. This represents the most military deaths of any nation by a large margin. Germany sustained 5.3 million military losses, mostly on the Eastern Front and during the final battles in Germany.
At 3'40, these are not the French but the Dutch fighting the Brits.

While it is true that the USSR suffered the most casualties during the war and we should remember their contribution, it is a fact which is used to justify this revisionist narrative which you've just espoused. The narrative that says the USSR were the good guys, they played the biggest role in defeating Germany and that everyone should be eternally grateful to them. Anything that goes against this narrative, of course must be ignored.
Nevermind that the Soviets were very happy to oversee and aid Germany in their expansion of Europe, up until it backfired in June 1941 when Germany invaded the USSR.
Poland suffered the greatest loss of life, as a percentage of their total population, during the war. Around 22% of their people died during Nazi AND Soviet occupation. The USSR executed over 22,000 Polish military and police personnel in what is known as the Katyn Massacre. They blamed it on Nazi Germany and actively tried to cover it up. The USSR only claiming responsibility for it in 1990.
Not only did countries like Poland have to suffer greatly at the hands of the Soviets during the war but was also occupied by the Soviet Union for 5 whole decades after the war. The USSR imprisoned the whole of Eastern Europe for 50 years, occupying their lands, jailing political dissidents and brutally suppressing any democratic demonstrations.

Why did it state Great Britain World War II 1941 - 1945 when the UK declared war in September 1939? The US are the ones that waited until 1941 to declare war and that was on Japan, which resulted in Germany declaring war on the US.
Scotland has always had separate legal and educational systems from the rest of the UK. When Devolution happened, it returned some of the powers to the Scottish Parliament. Which had been in adjournment since 1707 when The Act of Union was passed.
But Westminster, which is completely English controlled as there are far more English MP’s than there are from the other three countries combined, as each MP represents something like an average of 95,000 constituents and England has around ten times the population of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland combined. Until The Scotland Act of 1998 gave Scotland back its parliament with some devolved powers, any issues pertaining to Scotland were discussed in Parliament one day per month.
Devolution basically handed over the everyday running of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to their respective governments but Westminster retained many powers. Though the individual parliament/assemblies have the power to set taxes, the money goes to Westminster who then determines how much of a budget each of these three countries get (as though they’re handing out pocket money, which gives some of the English the impression they are supporting the other three countries, as though they don’t actually bring in any revenue of their own). Westminster makes military/defence decisions for the entire Union…which means they get to insist on where nuclear bases etc are like sat on the shores of a beautiful loch in the west coast of Scotland not too far from Glasgow (the most populated city in Scotland…even though the Scottish Parliament and the majority of the Scottish population don’t want it). Westminster makes the decisions in regards to North Sea Oil and Gas even though it’s in Scottish waters and the Scots want to reduce drilling but Westminster have recently handed out new contracts. Westminster makes the decisions about the wind turbines in the North Sea in Scottish waters that somehow results in the Scottish paying more for electricity than the English etc etc…and Westminster gets to decide if/when the other three countries get to have independence referendums and set the threshold for a win…and Westminster got to decide that two countries that voted against leaving the EU were to be dragged out against their will because the two other countries decided it’s what they wanted. Though because of the (at times) tenuous peace in Northern Ireland, they have been affected by Brexit to a much lesser degree than Scotland due to the need to not retain a soft border with The Republic of Ireland.

Stalin gave the Polish military every opportunity to surrender and then made arrangements for a lot of them to "escape" into allied territory were they then joined the British troops, he did the same thing with some American airmen after the fire bombing of Tokyo, they were forced to land in Russia instead of China and then "escaped" custody near the Iran border.
It was also a mostly agreed upon invasion by Stalin and the Allies, and Poland's only defence treaty was against Germany. It also provided a small but significant barrier between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia.

You forgot to mention the Soviet Katyn Forrest massacre of 5000 military officers of the Polish Army in 1939 and burial in the Katyn Forrest later discovered by the German Army during Operation Barbarossa in 1941 on their way through Eastern Poland to Russia.

Wow how benevolent of them. As for it being a "mostly agreed invasion by the Stalin and the allies" You've just pulled that out your backside. The Molotov Ribbentrop Pact was an agreement between two evil empires which despised Poland as a political entity and wanted to expand their influence in the region.
