@@amirkavousi4530 im not sure, but when you buying a song from iTunes store, the song will appear in music app. But here is a big “but”, because the song should support Spatial Audio technology, it means that artist should make a song for Spatial Audio (same with Dolby Atmos). here everything will be decided by an apple, but from the information declared by the apple itself, iTunes will not support HiFi lossless audio, so it is likely that Spatial Audio will remain exclusive to the Apple Music subscription. Although Spatial Audio itself depends on headphones, Apple may simply restrict access

When Apple killed the headphone jack it made this entire conversation possible. Normally we would be talking about 80 ohm's vs 300 ohm's or Open Back vs Closed Back headphones. You’d need a DAC in between that connection to convert the signal from digital to analog. On top of that I’m not even sure if either of those support outputting bit rates higher than the standard 356kbps (for reference lossless will output around 1400kbps)

You can get the ifi audio hip dac it cost around $150 that’s a good option I have it, plus more high end ones as well
Whichever headphones you buy just make sure they’re capable of outputting bit rates higher than 356kbps otherwise all your effort will be for nothing
i have beats flex with a w1 chip, why is there no spatial audio on my bluetooth option???
Why cant i use spatial audio on my airpods 2. Can someone please explain me. I tried to look for an answer but cant find it.
If i use Apple TV to play high def lossless audio thru HDMI to sound bar, does it support lossless audio?
How do I use special audio on my AirPods (gen 2), can I use it on Spotify ?
Well explained. Any idea when this spatial audio and lossless audio will reach us in India ? Because its not here yet in the music settings…Thanks..
For Lossless, Apple has also confirmed support on Apple TV and HomePod. Does that mean Apple TV gets streaming audio via WiFi? Since lossless doesn’t work with bluetooth, I guess HomePods use WiFi
No, they are talking through whatever speakers you have connected to your Apple TV.
I have an audiophile-grade headphone (Hifiman Arya) plugged into a DAC/Amp and I'm currently paying AUD25/month for Qobuz to get Hi-Res audio. Not to mention another AUD16/month for Roon. To be able to get that for less than half the price with Apple Music is a compelling premise and I can cancel Roon since Apple Music has the interface and features Qobuz lacks.
Roon lets u isolate ur music. It can be used in exclusive mode. Pretty sure Apple Music will not support that.
i have a question, dolby atmos could be played on a JBL bt500? and on my old earbuds with wires ?? ☺️
I believe any third party wireless gadgets that you could use with Spatial audio must be dolby compatible. A few are like the Samsung buds pro, Sony wf 1000 xm3, Both Sony XM3 and 4 headphones etc.
Does spatial Audi works with Sony wh-1000xm3?
Thanks for the heads up about not working on airpods 👍 will wait a little longer before switching from Spotify to AM. But could the lossless work on Apple TV with a Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround system with amplifier?
Is it possible to add our own musics in Apple Music app (from computer) and the music file supports Dolby Atmos and spatial audio?or it needs to be the Apple music subscription service songs?
You cant add your own music from files to music app, you have to use another music player from app store or smth
@@xcxdanielxdx9297 yes I can and I have done that
you can use iTunes (or a Mac) to move your own musics to your apple music app
@@amirkavousi4530 of course you can do that with iTunes, but songs from ITunes wont support HiFi lossless, only Apple Music streaming
@@xcxdanielxdx9297 thanks for information and is this same for the Special audio?
@@amirkavousi4530 im not sure, but when you buying a song from iTunes store, the song will appear in music app. But here is a big “but”, because the song should support Spatial Audio technology, it means that artist should make a song for Spatial Audio (same with Dolby Atmos). here everything will be decided by an apple, but from the information declared by the apple itself, iTunes will not support HiFi lossless audio, so it is likely that Spatial Audio will remain exclusive to the Apple Music subscription. Although Spatial Audio itself depends on headphones, Apple may simply restrict access
I just have AirPods 2 and some forums say since it has the chip H1 then it does support spatial audio, and others say it doesn’t.
Does anyone know if it does?
“Introducing the new IPhone 13, now with a brand new apple innovation we call ‘physical link’ also known as a 3.5mm headphone jack”
Thanks for another great video. Can you talk more about Homepods in this case?
Funny I was going to ask if my mw65 will support the lossless audio, then he holds one up.
No lossless for HomePod, Spacial only.
I’d be pretty pissed if I bought the Max headphones and they couldn’t support lossless audio. Glad I waited.
honestly if bluetooth isn't capable to transfer lossless audio, companies should start making Wifi Headphones that will connect to your phones hotspot for AUDIO OUTPUT only and then we can finally listen to Lossless High Quality music wirelessly.
Thank you for this education, i been wasting my data and wifi thinking I’m listening to lossless audio lmao 😂 I’ll go back and return it to high
When Apple killed the headphone jack it made this entire conversation possible.
Normally we would be talking about 80 ohm's vs 300 ohm's or Open Back vs Closed Back headphones.
Although I am glad that after this news, at least some people will come out of the "Dark Ages" and wake up to the limitations of HiFi audio through BlueTooth.
I think that with the arrival of the H2 chip, airpods will be able to receive HiFi lossless wirelessly. We have to just wait
@@xcxdanielxdx9297 So Apple need to create an Advanced H2 chip to replace a headphone jack? I hope you realize the irony in this.
So no spatial audio still for Apple TV paired with AirPods pro for movies?
What about AirPlay supported high end speakers? Like Marshall? Or Denon AV Reciever with Atmos speaker setup? Or what about Apple’s own EarPods? Are the EarPods useless for listening to CD-Quality Lossless? I’m asking about Lossless, not Atmos or Spatial Audio.
But can I just plug my head jack adapter into the bottom of my phone?
What about the old fashioned ear bud which are connect4d via a cable??
They both contain a DAC which isn’t high enough quality. So no.
Lossless and Hi Res audio can not be achived over bluetooth. Bluetooth itself is lossy. Also 24bit/96khz or 24bit/196khz are not new these sampling rates have been out since mid 90's on CD players, home audio gear and DVD players. Reference back Super Audio CD by Sony. The DAC's in all products would need to be inproved as I am sure they are 16 bit 44.1Khz or less.
I recently bought my first set of bookshelf speakers. I purchased a Schiit Modi 3+ DAC because I wanted to see what hi-res was all about. I plug in my iPad Air 4 into the DAC then into my speakers, Klipsch R-51PMs, and it’s party time! I’m currently using Amazon Music for losseless audio, but their UI is not great. I’ve only used Spotify and love their UI and algorithms. Never ventured into Apple Music, but my AirPod Pros would benefit from the spatial audio. Looks like I’ll have to give it a try in the summer.
So what does that mean are we going to get better or 10 times better surround sound of our AirPods
No you’ll get spatial audio for sound and that’s it. You need a DAC and proper wired headphones for lossless
@@greylawson6352 well that sucks
I have the 2nd generation AirPods but it doesn’t work with spatial audio
Where did you find out that the original HomePod ( HomePod mini too?) support Apple Lossless?
What a nice video, now I now what it’s actually needed to be able to use lossless, The only thing is that I have no idea what a digital-to-analog is and where to get and idk what high quality wired headphones to buy that work with high res lossless
So there’s absolutely no way I can listen to high resolution lossless via airpods max? Not even using an external dac with some cable that has lightning on one end snd usb or 3.5mm to the dac?
Lossless, would it work with beats studio when connected with the 3.5mm wire or the beats pill+ when connected with a 3.5mm audio cable?
You’d need a DAC in between that connection to convert the signal from digital to analog. On top of that I’m not even sure if either of those support outputting bit rates higher than the standard 356kbps (for reference lossless will output around 1400kbps)
Can we use sony xm4, wired, for lossless apple music?
What devices are supported that can you tell me
When say HomePod that include in this case the Mini too?
