Hi John. Much awaited, much enjoyed! This one means a good bit for me as this was the first CT blue trail I completed (3 hikes). I think I finished it (if I remember properly) around 1972. I remember just before Coachman Pike, the trail went through a new housing area being developed. It re-entered the woods and eventually came to the current southern end. Around 15 or so years ago, I communicated with the man that was maintaining the trail. His goal was to negotiate with the Pequot tribe to return the trail to near it's original route beyond Shewville Road all the way to just below Lantern Hill (where it used to end, and meet the Narragansett Trail). From your video, it appears he was unsuccessful. Great job on the video, as usual. Appreciate your efforts. God Bless!
Hi Ken, This one was overdue, sorry it took so long. I figured you would like this one. I still have one more Pachaug and two Nehantic Trail videos in the my backlog. Like you, I wish the trail connected with the Narragansett Trail. - Thanks John
Another great trail guide John! I thought I’ve been subscribed for almost 2 years but apparently I was not! I definitely feel more confident about hitting this trail now. Up until now I haven’t seen anyone having luck completing this section, so I was worried it would disappoint.
Tom, For security reasons, I don't post my personal contact information, However you may reach out to me via Instagram Direct Message. I'm under John Roy.
Nicely done, John; enhanced well with your musical choices.
Rich, Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
