Been thinking for a long time why there's no youtuber that makes narrative/summary videos of Total War campaigns, just as I was starting my Athens DEI campaign. I just hit the goddamn jackpot. Even gave me the idea to try a more naval campaign this time... hell yeah.
Loved the Spartan narrative campaign and this one is at least as good. Impressive storytelling and editing. This has made me realise how much I've missed a great historical total war and prompted me to reinstall DEI. Thank you for a fantastic couple of videos - they are unusually good and I'm looking forward to watching more of your stuff.
dude, i have been looking for this approach in video format towards historical total war games for ages. good shit man, i reckon you might have struck gold
Holy fuck this was awesome ! Loved the tie in of naval tactics. Naval use is so undermined in general. I wish the community would watch this video. Could enlighten some future Admirals out there !
Don't care what they say but this is the best narrative video on your page!! I loved it from start to end!!! What kept me watching was mainly because you did a lot of battle cutscenes! Making me feel part of almost every battle that was fun!!! Wished this video was an hour more!! Next time!! Migrate with Rome to the middle east and conquer from there!!! Would love that!!!!!!!! With a lot of battle cutscenes!! Can't wait!!
I stumbled onto your channel and I'm very glad I did! This is some epic stuff mate, really well done! Have a subscription and a like for this masterpiece! Looking forward to more.
Great series! I challenge you to Do this with Roma and try to do it as historically accurate as possible with you’re expansion and even around same year etc that real event happened, ofc not spot on year but around 10y ear mark . Would be awesome
Sorry for the late response but here it is Modlist: - All 5 "AAA generals submods" - Blank trade lines + Double Trade ships & Carts - Blank Borders - Orbis Aquarum - Orbis Terrarum - Dresden's sack, liberation and diplomatic options mod - Age of Hellenism 1.3.2 Lite For Divide Et Impera - Divide Et Impera
Subbed. I know this is gameplay, but my brain is consuming it like it processes a good documentary. Great. Now I'm gonna believe Greece took over Spain. 😂
TH-cam, why did you need so long, to show me that channel? That is what i want to see, if someone shows us his campaign. Good work sir. How long do you need for one of those videos?
I used the following mods: - All 5 "AAA generals submods" - Blank trade lines + Double Trade ships & Carts - Blank Borders - Orbis Aquarum - Orbis Terrarum - Dresden's sack, liberation and diplomatic options mod - Age of Hellenism 1.3.2 Lite For Divide Et Impera - Divide Et Impera

Hope this helps :D
Divide et Impera. The mod adds a lot of depth to the campaign. In my opinion this mod makes Rome 2 TW one of the best total war games - can't play a Rome 2 TW campaign without it now!

PS: I love the strategy of establishing a colonies, making the grand scale of the campaign more interesting, instead of grinding trough every neighboring fraction.

You are one of the few to give off this role play narrative feel you get when u watch this. Keep it going, your passion is amazing in your videos👍
I appreciate that so much!
Love how you build the bugs into the immersion 🙃
So I just started watching and now I can’t stop
Like 40 mins no stop just too good
I can wholeheartedly imagine great Greek commanders called Kleisthenes or Glaukos. The underlying storyline makes this so much better!
The heroes of legends
@@Toxborg As it turns out, there is a real Cleisthenes that is referred to ad the father of Athenian democracy!
@@kelechirichard54 NO WAY!!! That is honestly kinda cool! If only I knew that before making this campaign
@@Toxborg Still, a Kleisthenes that sailed from Greece to conquer Hispania sounds like the Barca family on steroids
Oh this comes out at a perfect time as I just started a campaign as Athens and just got into dei
How did it go?
Amazing man!
Another outstanding work, thank you so much master toxborg!
"master toxborg" 😆
This is truly delightful
this is an amazing video. I enjoy your narrative immersive gameplay so much thank you
Holy fuck this was awesome ! Loved the tie in of naval tactics. Naval use is so undermined in general. I wish the community would watch this video. Could enlighten some future Admirals out there !
I've always felt naval battles were underrated in Rome 2! Glad to hear someone feel the same!
Cheers for this man!
Thank you for your unyielding support!

@@Toxborg I would download that video and watch it anytime I am depressed!!
A 3-hour long one? So I can watch it like a movie 😌❤️
I love a good rp playthrough, and this is definitely that! One of the first times I've seen it for Rome 2, as well. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoy it!
Amazing work man!

1:36:20 lol
I hope they fix this bug when the game comes out of beta.

Thanks a ton!
Man this is awesome :D
I'm glad you like it
Is there a way to remove the besieger's attrition? the old classic mod for it hasn't worked for ages with DEI.
The probably is - But I sadly don't know enough about modding to confirm it
A new chapter added in the history of Toxborg channel :D
Hold up. Units can just up and leave for the life of piracy?
Fantastic story BTW, amazing take
Great video like a historic move great fan thx for your work.:)
Thank you very much!

Well, I'm taking a kinda different approach to it, by doing it through the various campaign DLC ;D
This is exactly the type of TW content I wanted to see
Glad you like this format! Always felt this was how Total War videos should be made
How does this man not have more viewers like wtf
Rome 2 with DEI is a small niche on TH-cam. But it is still worth it
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

I would love a Video where you play the germanic people
I have no love for the Rome II as it is very depersonalized video game. You did a great job, putting some life into it.
PS: I love the strategy of establishing a colonies, making the grand scale of the campaign more interesting, instead of grinding trough every neighboring fraction.
Glad you enjoy it!
Athens ,Greece
Attacking unescorted fleets is kind of cheating though
