Time to get rid of the Atkins diet.
It's not Atkins fault that Jays lost games do to bad infield defense, bad base running, bad hitting, injuries to pitching staff, sickness where it was difficult to field 9 player.
It is his fault for not firing John Schneider.
After the mess Alex Anthopoulos made Atkins looks exceptional.

I just finished doing in depth analysis of the Blue Jays hitting for the last 30 days by conclusion I would suggest that we trade Justin Turner, Biggio, Kirk, Springer, Vogelback and Jordan Romano. A closer can't have an ERA over four and you never get to saves easily with the exception being on Monday
It all ended with the removal of the homerun jacket

@@DC-jz7pu you have to replace the defense you're getting tho. vlad is starting to hit well again and his defense is great. so you're idea is to get a bunch of players that you already have an abundance of, you can still only have 26/40 so getting more guys for the same money doesnt actually fix anything. the delusional jays fans are at a premium
@@MrRicobadass they are using to many triple a players for a team that's supposed to be play off potential. the team is not creating enough runs they need to spend money to get have majority of the team to be big league level hitters.
It’s the same thing as last year! They are not going anywhere, the management has to be changed…..
I think the next three series against the Rays, White Sox and Tigers will determine the Jays season and if they disappoint then we should expect changes to be made. FYI I had the Jays finishing dead last in American League east.

Middle ground is the worse place for a franchise to be in. Either go full in or full rebuild.

I would trade Vlad to Cleveland for Josh Naylor, straight up. The funny thing is, the Guardians probably wouldn't go for that.

The Jays are behind (and not playing as well) as the Rays, the Twins, the Royals, the Tigers, the Guardians, the Rangers, the Mariners, and now, the Astros. To make the Wild Card, they have to finish ahead of all but two of these teams.
If you judge the offense solely by how the team is ranked in runs scored compared to the rest of MLB, then this Jays team is one of the 4 worst offensive teams in the history of the franchise. The other three (1977, 1978, 1981) were all in the expansion era. Thank you, Ross Atkins.
Every time they change the lineup the hitters do well, but they keep going back to the original lineup... It's insane. And I wasn't following last year, but Swanson and Romano haven't Impressed me at all this season. Romano seems more like a starter than a closer. He has like 4-5 pitches. That's not what you need from a closer. A closer throws 100 and has an off speed pitch. For the life of me, IDK why they haven't placed Garcia as the closer. He's miles better than Romano. This team has what it takes to go to the playoffs, but management keep screwing everything up.
Pro sport is entertaining only at the extremes: if you win a lot, or if you lose a lot. There's all kinds of drama in those circumstances. But mediocrity is, well, pretty boring.
One change that would help right now is getting Springer out of that leadoff spot. We need his defense over Biggio but at best he should be in the 7th or 8th spot in the line up. If his batting improves of course move him up higher but having him getting more plate appearances than any other Jay is hurting this team.
biggio is as good a defender as springer. i'd put biggio in every day. when he was at the plate every day for a month he was batting .329. they pulled him for a few games then used him sparingly and he dropped to .200. when he gets time he is actually a phenomenal player. when he doesnt get the consistent time he gets very very inconsistent. leave him in, move him around the diamond where hes needed. as a defender he is elite. as much as no one wants to say it he is. hes quick hes got good hands he can throw very well and accurate.
@@MrRicobadass To me Biggio looks like he doesn't care if he is playing or not and if I have to see him look at a third called strike again without even offering to swing at it well I just can't anymore. The only thing he does well is taking a walk but he would have to at a Juan Soto level of taking walks for me to say he should start.
I truly believe the issue is the management and coaching. If the Jays could get rid of Atkins, Schneider, etc, I guarantee the players would start doing better. When an entire team sucks, that’s usually a sign of bad management and coaching.
Nick you are crazy to have the blue jays winning the nl east after their only major signing was 39 year old justin turner plus you should have known the yanks would be a lot better than last year after getting soto stromen etc.....

Seriously I am most scared of a partial sell-off. that does nothing for the team. If they rebuilt it has to be a true rebuild, or they need double on going for it. If they rebuild I want a 1997 marlins type sell-off. no chance Bo will stay period, no chance Vlad will stay with this front office.

"Atkins is getting fired, but Shapiro is staying." Why? Shapiro had his chance last year to change out Atkins as the team has had the same issues for the better part of the last 3 years. Shapiro choose to back Atkin's and stay the course, he needs to be gone as well. The guy running the entire organization must take responsibility for not only the state of the current team but our dreadful minor league system.

Ask yourself one question; Who would buy a ticket to watch Guerrero or Bichette play? Their window of opportunities to impress and attract fans no longer exist. If a team's marquis players are no more than average performers, it is time to move on and change the roster,
marquis players have never had a bad season? GM, King of terrible analytics, should've been fired at end of last season. Also, the supporting President. Bring back Gillick, Beeston, and Godfrey - if only..... To think, Jays had wanted to increase prices exorbitantly this season. When Jays won WS twice, they spent money, money they apparently still have, given their offer to Ohtani. Jays should rebel by boycotting Concessions and Programmes, a worthy sacrifice.
Increasing prices so families can’t afford it, they should know that our government is out of control and we can’t afford increases for a team that can’t hit. Already make enough on food and such and now they want to be greedy just like our government. It’s just sad
the teams that win the WS the most sit in the 7-10 spot. in 20 years only 4 times has the payroll leader won the WS. spending the most doesnt always correlate to winning the world series. jays are currently holding the #4 spot in active payroll this year and look how they are doing. then look at baltimore in the 17 hole leading the division.
I'm only following MLB this year to see the Yankees lose in the playoffs, Manoah's revenge tour (or meltdown), and to see who gets traded/fired this year. The Jays are the like Leafs: can't win so most of the entertainment comes from the off field drama.

I don't care where VG and Bo go. This Jays era didn't work and we need new hungry guys .As long as Guerrero is on this team it's a bust. Why did they sell off Teoscar and Lourdes. Atkins need to fire John Schneider already. Philadelphia Phillies fired their manager and the team has not looked back. The Jays hired Cito Gaston won 2 world series. When you have a team under performing fire the manager.
