@@liamkingsbury7438 yeah I realize traverses like these they’d be helpful but I feel I can get lower in my carve without them so that’s mainly why I don’t use them.
@@matthewschmid565 no i mean like while linking turns in moguls and trees, getting a strong pole plant can reset your upperbody really well. Idk man, i really think you should try them for a day🤷♂
@ yeah I’ve tried my dads poles for a few runs here or there and they def help a bit through moguls but I’ve been skiing my whole life without them so I’ll prob stick to skiing without
Why so much hate over ski poles? I think you made it through that nightmare of a run quite well. All I could think as a snowboarder, I ain’t trying that. Thanks for the vid. I’m heading to Stowe for March break. I’m from Toronto Canada. Never skied Vermont yet but I’m excited. I hope this cold weather lasts all the way till March.
God that was painful to watch. You can’t ski well enough to be on that trail. Skiing with no poles is foolish. Learn to use them and you’ll have a lot more fun…guaranteed! That being said, I’ve skied this trail over the last 20 years. I never knew it had the name “kitchen wall” until recently. It was never named on the trail maps. We called it ‘cliff trail’ because you end up right below a cliff with hanging ice (yes - I know there is s trail named cliff trail). It’s pretty amazing…and scary once you realize that a lot of the big pile of snow below the cliff fell from that cliff. You probably don’t want to linger there. Skiing down from just below the cliff is steep - and a lot of snow piles in there so it’s fun. Lastly, if you keep traversing skiers right through the woods, you’ll end up going through part of Nose Dive woods. Keep traversing skiers right crossing other trails (stick to the trees) and it brings you around the mountain in a run that’ll take you at least 1/2 hour. Super fun.
Thanks but I’ve skied trails much harder than this it was just my first time going through it so didn’t exactly know where I was going and where to drop in. Ski poles would help on runs like these but with that being said I’ve been skiing my whole life and never used them. I feel like I can get lower in my carve without them
Dude you would really benefit from some poles

Looks like fun.
Skied this over 30 years ago. Not much has changed. Difference was we ended the run at the parking lot.
And we're skiing without poles...why exactly???
Never used them in my life. On a trail like this theyd prob be a little helpful

Do not show how to get to woods runs.
Runs like this and angelfood everyone already knows how to get there, but still gotta keep some secrets like balls falls, and hazleton.
I keep waiting for this to open up a LITTLE bit to actually do some skiing…Ugh. Why bother. So much work for nothing but tree catching
@@tylergreen9888 True, balls falls is a little harder to get to but much nicer on the wall
