As a Black Belt in Jiujitsu with over 30 years of experience in law enforcement-much of which I spent teaching myself and attending various programs that integrate Jiujitsu into police work-I can confidently say that EFC is leading the charge in training law enforcement officers in Jiujitsu. Their instructors stand out, not just for their technical expertise, but for their hands-on experience applying Jiujitsu in real-world scenarios. While there are many excellent programs available, EFC sets the standard in this field. I’d like to give a special mention to Jay Wadsworth, whose instruction is second to none. His ability to connect with students and translate technique into practical application is truly impressive. If you're serious about learning effective, real-world Jiujitsu for law enforcement, EFC should be your first choice. Professor Freddy Trillo🤙
Man, this is what departments need. I was prior LEO in a one of the top 3 largest cities in the US. Thankfully, I was pushed as a kid to wrestle. As I got older I decided to start BJJ. After years of being a LEO and having training and continuing to train I cannot tell you how many situations I’ve been in where the training stopped any further use or force incidents. I was extremely confident in my abilities to go hands on. It is extremely disgusting the lack of training other officers have. This is one of the most important skills to have as a law enforcement officer. Now that I’m not a LEO I would 100% love to get involved in training other officers.
At last a Team and Video that projects exactly what our law enforcement teams, correctional staff should now be getting qualified in. I’m a Former Soldier and UK Home Office Tactical Intervention Instructor as well as Control and Restraint Instructor and for years we have been delivering out of date and out of touch training. For years I’ve bumped my gums trying to get the powers that be to look and listen to what the streets are doing. Most people arrested now are trained in many forms of UFC, MMA and BJJ and our teams here in the UK are lacking behind. Even in retirement I get frustrated at what I’m still seeing. Keep pushing the message guys. Great work 👍🤜
Excellent! From professional LEOs with BJJ and wrestling background for LEOs! I follow you , Jay, for a long time on social media! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Very good training. It has a few areas that need correction, but overall a good approach towards resolving conflict. I would hope that LEO agencies would allocate more time for weekly training because to become proficient one has to develop one's skill and that takes time. 32 hour of intensive instruction is simply not realistic, but its better than nothing. All the elements are here so it has the potential of being a good place to start.
