Hi Nicole. Love, love your new starts. I am waiting on my Mary 395 to arrive so I can get a start on her. Hope your back feels better soon. I am sure just sitting and stitching will help tremendously. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a happy stitching week.
I was just looking for threads for Mary 395 before I was watching your video! Well, I know what I’m getting now. Lol Thanks for showing them. They’re gorgeous. And LOL Gingers foot when you were showing Gigi R’s Wreath Sampler. She cracks me up with her feet up in the air. 🤣 See you next video
Oh, I love the Mary 395 sampler and the cranberry thread is gorgeous. I was so happy to see Ginger back! She is so cute laying on her back. My cat Lily does the same thing and it is hilarious! She was a good girl today, wasn't she? Love seeing your stitching-it's all so beautiful. Happy Stitching! Hope your back feels better soon. I have similar problems with mine. A heating pad may help you a little. Pam Miller
Hope your back feels better soon! Thank you for posting your overdyed cottons for Be Exceedingly Dilligent on your blog... I have it kitted with Anchor, but I love variation in my pieces, and I spent a lot of money at In Stitches for that cut of fabric 😳😁🤷🏻♀️ Take care!
Hi Nicole, Thanks so much for sharing your conversion for In All Things Be Exceedingly Diligent. I don't know why, but I've always thought that was just done in browns. Now I'm excited to get the chart and work on it. As always, your wips are beautiful. I'm also planning to start Mary 395. I think it's all the lovely motifs at the bottom that call to me. Love seeing Ginger. Hope your back feels better soon!
Thank you for filming a video. I am making great progress on My cosmic girl shawl. It is such a fun knit. Thanks for sharing yours. I'm waiting on my Mary 395 order. It cant get here fast enough-!!!Take care
Always inspired by you. Or is the right word enabled lol thanks for visiting and sharing. I’m with you on the relax and stitch scenario. Enjoy your day! Patti
Ginger is just too cute!! There are just not enough hours in the day for all the beautiful samplers! There is something about Mary 395 that grabs you and Mary Good is also such a gorgeous sampler....oh, what am I saying, they all are! Have a great week and I hope your back feels better. Happy stitching.
I just got my Mary 395 in the mail recently and I just might have to copy you on that cranberry color I love it! Ginger’s face has so much expression, she makes me smile every time. Her antics are so dang adorable too. I will be happy when you are all settled in your new home in hopes you will quit starting all the things! 😆 I am so jealous! 😂
Your Bristol sampler is much more balanced and esthetically pleasing than the others I have seen. I do have one I bought at Lynn’s of Madison, Wisconsin.
Hope your back is better today! I once injured my back while plugging in my Christmas tree!! I was on bed rest for a week. I can say that, you can stitch while laying down, but it is hard on your arms. 🤪
First, I hope this finds you feeling better. I love Mary 365, a gorgeous design and I know you will bring it all to life beautifully. I have a favorite red that anytime I can stitch a mono I go for it! I enjoy your shares, and appreciate that you use stash first, good for you.
It was nice to see Ginger! Oreo’s personality reminds me so much of our kitty Miss Minerva. She was an orange tabby we had with from a kitten until she was just over 20 years old. She would sit on your lap, when SHE wanted to. Sometimes she would beg to be petted by butted her head against my hand, but after a few pats, would turn around to nip at me to say “Ok, That’s enough!” We lost her several years ago. I still miss her. All your lovely work makes me want to go stitch all the things even more! ☺️
Hi Nicole, love your projects...now you are giving me the inspiration to try some red/burgundy silk sampler monochromatic piece! Hope you are feeling better soon! Enjoy your stitchy day!
Nicole, I love each and every project that you’re working on!! I want to go buy them all! Love spending time watching you, your such a sweet kind talented beautiful lady! Hope your back gets feeling better and yay for working at home longer! Happy stitching friend!
I love all of your starts. I have many of them and don't know how I will ever get done what I have collected. But shopping is half the fun. At least that is my rationalization. I have had Dutch Beauty in my stash for several years. I purchased the kit on ebay. I looked at it several times over the past few years and then put it away since it is a massive undertaking. The kit includes DM C and the linen. I have been working on it for three days now and am really loving it! Heaven only knows when I will finish it but at least I have started it. The directions are difficult since it has been translated in more than one language. I got through the first page of border before I realized that I was supposed to use two strands of floss. Oh well I am leaving it for now and will go back later to change it. Happy stitching and hope your back feels better.
Beautiful stitching! Makes me want to do a red sampler! Ginger is darling. I had a kitty like Oreo...only on her terms! 😻 Thanks again for another great video!
Ginger is stealing the show -- first, she put on her cute face, then watching you pull stuff off the bed, then paws up sleeping. She's adorable! Your stitching and patterns, fabrics and flosses are amazing as usual. Thank you for showing us. Keep making those tiny x's.
It was a fun surprise to see your post so early. I hope your back tones down really soon. Maybe slip in a little heating pad unless your weather is too hot! Oh, Ginger! Oh, those little "feets" in mid-air while she sleeps. I love her! I think the redwork samplers are amazing, and they would be peaceful sometimes to remove one aspect of the stitching and just stitch. I plan to craft all day, too. I am going to crochet , make a junk journal, and kit up a new cross stitch I bought. It is "Coffee First." Need to do it while I can still find the little spoon charm! lol. Have a good day. Stay safe and feel better. P.S. That blueberry scone sounds so good! lol
Afternoon from a cold part o Scotland..WOWWW lots of gorgeous stitchery and samplers what a beautiful cat oor two are sleeping on oor bed..... We have been having some gorgeous weather these past couple o weeks have been stitching in the garden everyday... I have been stitching oan CSG Sampler Collection. The Catherine Archer Extract a beautiful red sampler and HATS Jane Marshall 1857....and Baby It's Cold Ootside.... Will be staring the June part o Linen and Threads 2020 mystery sampler today...... I also have that Bristol Red Sampler going to use different shades of DMC reds...my husband and I were picking a colour of lugana the other day for this red beauty... I also have Jane Fiddes 1835 ready to start in July for the SAL... love Nicola's booklets and samplers... Thank you for sharing... Happy stitching... hope your back feels better soon... Lady Louisa.
Mary 395 is gorgeous. Like your thread choice. I didn’t realize it was larger so I will need to check my linen size, haven’t decided on the thread to use yet. Take care of your back and I hope it gets better soon.
Your sampler’s are so beautiful would you someday show where you hang them? I enjoy when I see Carol saltbox stitchers wall of samplers. I would love to see where you put yours. Thanks so much 💕
Thank you! I don’t really have a wall of samplers yet - maybe one day! I would love that! After we move and get settled, I’d like to start getting more framed and then I can be like Carol! LOL! :)
Nicole's Needlework oh yes, I forgot you are moving. You need to just be you! I was just giving an example of Carols wall. Yours would be JUST as gorgeous 😍 thank you for sharing your amazing work!
Fantastic start on the Bristol sampler, I love that red colour you are using. And now I have to get Elizabeth Weston 😁 thank you for another great vid 💓
I am in love with Mary 395 and Cranberry is my favorite color, I also have Elizabeth Weston in my need to do soon stack. I am going to do the Jane Fiddes SAL so I’m trying not to start anything huge. Ginger is so sweet, it cracks me up that she lays on her back with her legs straight up in the air!
Great video! I am drawn to the new HATS Bristol sampler, “Mary 395,” as well but haven’t purchased it yet. I think the size is daunting to me. I have the linen for “In All Things Be Exceedingly Diligent” and I look forward to checking out your blog to see your overdyed floss conversion. Thank you!
Your stitching is always so beautiful. Do you usually use tent stitch rather than a full cross stitch when stitching your samplers? Can you explain why you decide to stitch one verses the other? Thanks!
full stitches can sometimes look a little crowded on smaller count linen. My stitches don't look too bad, but it may have looked a little better to do a half stitch. It's really just personal preference.
Omg I swear, I’m so in love with Ginger!!!! She’s sleeping now on her back with her paws in the air. So so adorable. You made me log on to FirePoppies online store and I purchased the last Mary 395. It’s way too big so I know I’ll never stitch in this life, lol, but I felt kinda sad about this Sampler. I’m thinking she may not know who her surname hence 395 so I had to purchase it. Also after your Flosstube is over, I’m heading to your blog for the cotton conversion for the NeedleworkPress chart. Thanks Nicole. I think you might consider making ginger a TH-cam channel to film all her cute moments or an Instagram to post photos of her just being “Ginger”. Smile
Yes, magnification and good lighting! I use these 4.0x magnifying glasses from Amazon - www.amazon.com/dp/B07HHQXJ8N/ref=dp_prsubs_2?th=1 and I use a Daylight (brand name) stitching light. Good luck!
Love seeing what you're working on. What is it about red samplers? Why do we like red in samplers? I don't find myself gravitating to red in knitting. What's the difference? So weird.
OMG the way Ginger is sleeping with her little paws straight up in the air. So cute. Your samplers, as always, are amazing!! I like the idea of how your organize your patterns. This would be really helpful with my quilting patterns, especially organizing by designer since I tend to buy certain ones frequently. Right now, they are all over the place in about 3 spots and then I have a 4th spot with patterns I want to start soon and I kind of ‘kit’ some projects as well that I think I will work on soon but sometimes it sits there for awhile and then I need a piece of fabric and pull it out.
Do you happen to remember how many total skeins of the Belle Soie you needed for 40ct on Mary 395? My math skills have seriously deteriorated. Lol! I’m doing 40ct also and I keep coming up with different figures. Thank so much!
When Ginger goes missing, don’t come look at my house..... lolol!! Hope your back is better. I have been on a rant about overdyed floss lately. I threatened to throw them all in the trash & go back to only DMC. SOOOOOOO frustrating. I understand the “hand dyed” thing, but couldn’t there be a little continuity in their process???? Ok...rant over... temporarily. Lol. Your videos are the best...take care!!
Your stitching is gorgeous and you are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Ginger is just precious!
Such beautiful works love seeing your progress Thanks so much for sharing. And sharing your color conversions is so kind. Thanks 🙏❤️
I am amazed at level of difficulty you routinely stitch at and achieve such consistent results! I want to be you when I grow up!
Thanks Nicole , I look forward to your floss tube every week , many thanks all the way from Australia
Hi Nicole. Love, love your new starts. I am waiting on my Mary 395 to arrive so I can get a start on her. Hope your back feels better soon. I am sure just sitting and stitching will help tremendously. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a happy stitching week.
Enjoyed your video, thanks for taking the time to do those. Love all your new starts...the Red sampler is outstanding.

Thanks Pam! Yes, I put one of those stick on heating patches and that seemed to help. I really need to buy a heating pad!
Nicole, I look forward to each one of your videos( there little treats of heaven) for me. Thanks . All your projects are very pretty. keep safe

You are a huge inspiration to me. Ginger is pretty sweet and wonderful to see in your video's. The red sampler is going to be amazing.
So distracted by Ginger just watching everything you do. I can’t stop looking at her looking at you pull stuff out of bags! She is lovely.
Thank you for filming a video. I am making great progress on My cosmic girl shawl. It is such a fun knit. Thanks for sharing yours. I'm waiting on my Mary 395 order. It cant get here fast enough-!!!Take care
So many great projects! Hope you back gets better soon!
Always love your choices. Will check your NWP Exceedingly Diligence conversion! Hope your back is better. Rest and stitch away! ♥️
Love all your projects and the new starts!!! Hope your back feels better soon! 😊

I always love what you pick to stitch...everything is so beautiful. I hope your back feels better as each day passes. Hope to see you soon.
I enjoy your videos so much. Look forward to seeing them on Saturdays. I also love Ginger too. She is such a sweetie!
Hope you feel better. Take care.
So inspiring, don't stress about the lack of focus---I am in the same boat. Thanks again for sharing your time and talent with us!
Your Bristol sampler is much more balanced and esthetically pleasing than the others I have seen. I do have one I bought at Lynn’s of Madison, Wisconsin.

Yes, that’s exactly how she is!! I’m so sorry for your loss of your kitty. I know how hard that is.
I love your videos, thank you for so much inspiration. I’m so glad Ginger is back! 😻 I hope you get better soon, take care.
Love seeing your progress, rest up and feel better soon, enjoy your day of stitching!

Loving all of your progress. I just started A New Constellation on Memorial Day...love it too. That wreath sampler is fantastic!
Best cat ever!!!!❤️🐾🐾

Love the idea of putting thread drops in floss away bags. Why didn't I think of that?
Love what you show, thanks for sharing!! Are there any over one stitches in Be Exceedingly Diligent, thanks?
No, there is no over one.
Nicole's Needlework thank you!

Thank you for showing Mary 395. I am unsure about my fabric and keep wondering if it is too light. This helped though I am still undecided.
I think you could use pretty much any fabric and red thread on this sampler and it will be beautiful! Good luck deciding!
I'm inspired to start a red sampler! 🥰🤗🙏
Elizabeth Weston has been in my cart for a couple weeks now! Can't wait to see your progress whenever you start!

I agree. My cat does the same when I'm on Skype or worse, she will photo-bomb me so all the others on Skype only see her face. LOL
I love the red sampler you started. Ginger has the most unusual eyes. She's fun to watch. :)
Omg! The manor at Quaker Hill is just beautiful! I would love to try 40ct linen but it's so tiny. Have any tips?
Yes, magnification and good lighting! I use these 4.0x magnifying glasses from Amazon - www.amazon.com/dp/B07HHQXJ8N/ref=dp_prsubs_2?th=1 and I use a Daylight (brand name) stitching light. Good luck!

Ginger has the cutest face, the way she looks at you is precious. Hope your back gets better fast.
Every time I see a red sampler it calls to me. I don’t yet have a favorite one picked out. Love a red sampler!!

Does Vintage Exampler have a pink cast? I’m thinking that what I want to use for Anne Thomas. Thoughts?
Yes, it does have a little pink in it. I am also planning on using it for Anne Thomas (I have one more precious fat 1/4 that I’m saving for it).
Do you happen to remember how many total skeins of the Belle Soie you needed for 40ct on Mary 395? My math skills have seriously deteriorated. Lol! I’m doing 40ct also and I keep coming up with different figures. Thank so much!
I think it’s about 6 skeins. Good luck! 😊
Nicole's Needlework Thank you! Would you believe my final calculation was that I needed 63 skeins. Lol! What in the world 🤣
Wow!! 😂
Take care of that back! Goodies coming up in 3 orders 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Faye - it’s starting to feel better. Woo hoo! It will be like Christmas! 😘
I think you should give Ginger a catnip toy right after you start filming. 🤣😻
She is not attracted to catnip like some cats. Oreo goes crazy for it!
Love the cranberry red!
I just loved the ginger show. I don’t know what all these other people are talking about. I didn’t see any cross stitch. 😉
When Ginger goes missing, don’t come look at my house..... lolol!! Hope your back is better. I have been on a rant about overdyed floss lately. Ginger is especially cute in this video!
❤️❤️
You know you're getting older when you tweak your back while sleeping. 😂 Ginger was extra cute today! Take care!
🤗
I was drawn to Mary 395 because she only used her name and bed number. It just pulled at my heartstrings for some reason.
Yes, same here!
❤️❤️❤️
