There's plenty of channels on TH-cam still doing their old basic format, and still get plenty of watchers. I wished these channels could get more views instead of those popular clickbait substance-less videos.

When I was a lad, my Mom, who was originally from Germany, would bring in cut branches in late winter to leaf out and bloom indoors. Sometimes she’d blow out eggs (make small hole in either end, apply mouth to one hole, etc.), have us kids decorate them, and hang them with threads from the cur branches. Only thing I know of that resembles an Easter tree...
Easter trees are an actual thing (at least in my area of Europe), but it's nothing like that glittery monstrosity. You just put a few Corkscrew Hazel branches in a vase and decorate it with tiny eggs like the ones on the Poundland packaging, Easter grass optional.

Fun fact: We actually have "Påskris" - Easter Trees in Sweden (usually without glitter). Usually a birch branch is used and you put feathers and little egg ornaments in it. Not so fun fact: the tradition of decorating a branch is about 150 years old or so, but the Easter tree / Påskris has existed for a long time. Originally it was a twig the father of the house/farm used to whip the other family members with to remind them of Christs suffering. There's a fun Easter tradition for you. 😣

We still do it in Lithuania! We collect tree branches and decorate them with fake small eggs. As well, we don't eat chocolate, we dye real boiled eggs and eat them instead.
We also do it in Belgium, specifically with young willow branches. There's one right next to me as I'm writing this. Really surprised the UK doesn't have them.
Easter Trees do also exist in the Netherlands, although not as widely popular as Christmas trees. I don't like them though, they're just wiggly bald twigs with eggs dangling from them.

I’m British, we always had an Easter tree in the spring when I was young. We’d hang little eggs and pastel bows and feathers on a branch. It was actually super beautiful and would make the house feel really bright and renewed for the coming year.

I used to be a teacher; and we used to buy little Easter Trees like that for our class. We got our kids to write their favourite things on little egg decorations and hang them on the tree. Didn’t serve any purpose, just really a decoration for the classroom.
Before I was confined to my flat, I bought one of those plush chicks. I love at and I am not ashamed lol 😂 I also got the carrot plate and the matching lettuce plate for my guinea pigs to eat their tea from. Because why not.
Putting eggs in trees is definitely a thing in germany but another similar tradition that I actually really like is the "Easter Bouquet" where we take a couple of branches from bushes especially blooming ones a couple days before easter wich will then sprout on Easter these Bouquets also usually have some eggs hanging on them

To add to the confirmations of others--an Easter tree is a thing. My grandfather was German & I picked up the tradition from my mom, his daughter. Except, much like others, we go out and grab real branches & not...that. Our egg ornaments are mainly painted wood, but we have used blown out real eggs before, too.

I very keenly remember having an Easter tree from my childhood, which as a good 15 years ago, so in my world, an Easter tree is far from a new thing.
As a former christian, I can confirm the Easter tree is a thing.
As a person whose entire family business is around Christianity I've never heard of the Easter tree.

I used to be a teacher; and we used to buy little Easter Trees like that for our class. We got our kids to write their favourite things on little egg decorations and hang them on the tree. Didn’t serve any purpose, just really a decoration for the classroom.

Putting eggs in trees is definitely a thing in germany but another similar tradition that I actually really like is the "Easter Bouquet" where we take a couple of branches from bushes especially blooming ones a couple days before easter wich will then sprout on Easter these Bouquets also usually have some eggs hanging on them

To add to the confirmations of others--an Easter tree is a thing. My grandfather was German & I picked up the tradition from my mom, his daughter. Except, much like others, we go out and grab real branches & not...that. Our egg ornaments are mainly painted wood, but we have used blown out real eggs before, too.
