I started with a used Brother PE900 for the same reasons. I had it for about 2 months, gave it to Goodwill, and then purchased a Tajima SAI. Not exactly big time but perfect for me to get started in my small studio. I'm in love with machine embroidery, thanks for sharing your expertise and tips! 😀

I started my journey with a Brother PE150 but it had little cards and was limiting. Moved on to SE400 loved it because it could also sew. It was a move up from 150, but to get my designs I had to download to my computer and move over to the SE400. Now greedy me, wanted a bigger hoop and I’ve advanced to a Pathfinder (8x12) hoop and I’m in heaven. I added magnetic hoops and I enjoy Embroidery even more. May your days be filled with Good Sewing!!

Nice! Yeah it makes it pretty easy for you to learn embroidery. Did you have any trouble with tension or hooping?

What kind of thread do you use in the bobbins? Is it the same as the top thread or the regular machine thread?

If you choose a design that’s on going long like a trim can you do it without using the hoop?

Nice job! I do think starting with a 6x10 inch hoop is better if you can. There are a lot of entry level machines with this size. Also be sure to buy from a local dealer with dependable service and repair and go there and try the machines out. There should be good support for classes too!

Thank you for your comment! Starting with a 6x10 inch hoop is a great choice, especially for those who plan to work on larger projects. Buying from a local dealer with reliable service and repair is excellent advice. Trying out machines in person and ensuring there's support for classes can make a big difference in your embroidery journey 💙

One can start with SE600 with a repositioning hoop and an embroidery editing software. The hoop size is not limiting, it only makes one more creative.

can you use the se600 on caps?

    • @anniemariengatelier

@@jashodasrivastava Yes you can, but only unstructured caps. It also requires a learning curve and special technique.
