To everyone looking forward to Quantum Break, I hope you don't let 7/10 or 8/10 review scores ruin your excitement for the game. Reviews are opinions yours may be different. That's okay. Quantum Break looks like a "good solid" game. It may not be the amazing "Masterpiece" that some people were expecting, but for you, it may surpass your expectations & be that "Masterpiece" you've been waiting for, regardless of some flaws which may or may not even be an issue for you. Have fun with Quantum Break everyone!
I have had it pre-ordered since they started the pre-order bonus some weeks ago. The two negative reviews out of the hundred won't be making me change my mind. But I'm even more excited now after reading and watching some of the other reviews. Screw the negative nancy saying to skip the game and just watch videos online. Are you even a gamer? Hilarious.
+Tom Teller I still don't know why a lot of people somehow think a 7 or an 8 is a bad score, because it's a really good score actually, but now if something gets below an 8 or under it a lot of people just tend to shy away from it, which is such a shame. its absolutely shocking how reviewers can have such contrasting thoughts on a game when its come to stuff like this guy saying the tv parts were fantastic quality and angry joe saying if it were a show it would be cancelled before the first season ended
+BKlopps I have mixed feelings about the TV show. The problem is a lot of the story elements work better in a video game so some of the set pieces and plot points come off as cringy (Also some bad acting and directing doesn't help). With that said it succeeds in helping to humanize the villains as this reviewer mentioned. The TV show could have been compelling but it just falls flat on it's face and yeah it would have been canceled quickly. Overall I still enjoyed it for what it was and giving me additional background on the villains to make it feel more like shades of gray rather than good vs evil.
Just finished this game, what an awesome game. Story was great but a bit too confusing for me, maybe a second play through will clear things up. Overall, I loved it 😍
now this game has launched on steam and 87% of the reviews are positive... and the negative ones are mostly about some performance issues this means game is awesome...
Really looking forward to this. Confused that the reviewer complains about it getting stale but then says he rushed into a second playthrough. Make your mind up! XD
+DEIVION212 He said it got stale because the game doesn't give the player anything new for the rest of the game, leading to encounters that all kind of play out the same.
+DEIVION212 Thing is the second play through doesn't change anything - there is only one ending - so its a bit pointless to go through again unless your loving it of course. Most say the plat forming is just bad!
I got this game on sale thinking it would be okay. Was totally wrong. This game is amazing. I'd give it a 9.5/10. I think critics are being a bit harsh on it.
honestly do reviews matter anymore? Im going to get a game that I want to play no matter the review. and when a game gets bad or average reviews like the The Division, millions of people still buy it and its the best selling game haha.
+BLADE 1513 Because you're smart and can think for yourself that you don't need reviews. Unfortunately, there are a lot of mindless people who can't, so they make their decisions based solely on what other people think. I've found myself LOVING games that reviewers hated. I have a feeling I'm going to love this game despite some of the negative reviews.
+AllPro777 Me personally I usually watch a few reviews and compare notes to what others have said whilst judging for myself whether it's worth my time and I'll enjoy it and I've found some real gens by doing so. Gaming is much better when you can think for yourself and not just go off of popular opinion.
Not a great review... All he really mentioned in the gameplay was that he was given all the powers too early, then went on to praise the live episodes. How was the shooting mechanics? Any other gameplay elements? How was the actual story? Satisfying ending? How does it compare to other 3rd person shooters? How was the enemy AI? How are the controls considering you have to juggle between so many powers and shooting? He also said the action grows stale quickly but then said a second play through is well worth it for just a couple new scenes in the show, are they really that good?
+Hfajardo97 Exactly and im seeing the same thing across many sites. They say how much fun it is and enjoyable but don't follow up with a Score that shows those feelings.
there's something i dont understand. so many people are calling quantum break "generic" and "repetitive" for its time powers and action, but uncharted 4 is receiving critical acclaim and yet it's reused most of the same mechanics for every game. why is this? this is a genuine question, not intended as a negative comment toward ps4, im just curious.
There's a bias... just because a game is by Naughty Dog, it is brilliant, no matter how bad the game is. Though Uncharted 4 sure is a nice game... not game-changing but definitely a game that is worth buying a console
Uncharted 4 just looks so much more colorful and vibrant though, and has more of a personality from what I've seen of the two games. I love Remedy so I would give this game a go, but between this and Uncharted 4, the latter seems just to pop much more because of the art style, colors, set pieces, etc. But hey, I've never played QB so I should give it a go!
True, but at least this game has some interesting mechanics, where as The Order gave us the ability to pick up a piece of paper and, wait for it, TURN. IT. AROUND.
So far completed Act 1, and I am thoroughly enjoying the game. Graphics are fantastic, so is the voice acting and so far the live action episode is good as well.
This game is fantastic. Took me quite a bit longer to finish both time lines twice at 57 hours. Last time through was on hard mode. Bought the special Quantum Break edition white Xbox One. Love it. Next is Uncharted 4 special edition. Both are great systems.
I fail to understand how "stale gameplay" affects a game's quality these days. Naughty Dog games like Uncharted & The Last of Us featured all featured good stories, but dreadfully boring and repetitive cover shooting that got quite "stale", just like Quantum Break apparently does. But, Uncharted & The Last of Us receive 10/10s across the charts. What am I missing???
I just finished this game of the gamepass, it was extremely fun in gameplay and I loved he story, really interesting..and what they mean is that since there are 5 chapters In the game, the could’ve slowed down the pace at giving up powers jack Joyce has, they could’ve gave 2 powers every act however they gave us access to the powers in the first 2 acts
I do agree that Uncharted is very overrated... but Last of us was truly the best exclusive of last gen. That bein said Alan Wake was the 2nd best... And this one is worst Remedy game ever. But it still easy 8,3/10.
+OnePreferenceFootball You act like 8 is bad at all. I don't even have an XBone, but from someone who loved Alan Wake I'm glad this game is being received relatively well.
+Cole Phelps For all the hype this game was receiving IMO an 8 is an underwhelming score. And the reviews have been mixed...GameSpot gave this game a 6 which I probably imagine is completely wrong while other popular reviewer sites said it leaves much to be admired. I loved Alan Wake but the message seems clear that this game isn't on its level.
+Cherry Pauper The ACTION got stale. He mentioned the strength of the story however, and how the variances in cutscenes and dialogue allowed him to play it twice. In short, while the gameplay isn't OMG GREAT from beginning to end, the story is more than compelling enough to keep you entertained in the meantime.
It's been a while since I had this much fun with combat gameplay, the powers are really fun to use with amazing effects and it's very fast paced, truly worth a buy!
I don't get the criticism's of this game, I think its amazing I love how detailed it is and how it trusts the intelligence of the gamer. Also the tv show sequences are very good and the actors are believable. I never understood the overacting or bad acting comments. Though if I have one criticism its that I do wish that Jack Joyce was played by the guy they had when they first unvieled the game and not shawn ashmore. I think shawn is a okay actor but he is alittle one note at times and to me just looks like your usual hero protagonist. I liked the more weathered look of the original actor, the fact that he looked like a younger lance henriksen didnt hurt either.
I'm on it the now, just about finished it. I think it's been amazing, but the tv show parts of it are filmed terribly cause they're probably in such a rush.
Yeah...now that I have finished the game. The story is quite a mess. although the story with Beth I thought was really good. I think the problem with the with the story is it is so cliche. The best friends that turn on eachother, the science experiment gone wrong. The bad guy turned rogue. and the finale really needed to take the time to look at this story as a whole and look at what it was trying to say, where they were taking their characters and..it didn't. I just leaves all these threads dangling into a whole soup bowl of ideas that never fully have a chance to come together. They start to..and I thought the build up to the end was really quite good..but suddenly the story shifts and when that happens..the game ends. I am sitting there thinking "what!...just like that!?...did I just play a science fiction version of goosebumps?!".
nolan palmer I just finished it there, like 5 minutes ago. I really like the game, and really enjoy playing it, but I probably should've waited a few months, and got it. The game is disappointingly short, there's like 10 hours of gameplay, and even less if you're not playing it on hard.
Just started playing it , Xbox Game pass , tried it on the Xbox One S and WOW on Xbox One X @ 4K is unbelievable so currently playing in one the One X.
Ok people, I DO own both consoles, Xbox One and PS4. I haven't played this game yet, but Uncharted 4. I have always being a Xbox gamer since the first one and well, here are the REAL advantages and disadvantages for every console: Xbox One: Pros: • Has way better servers and the online features are almost always working perfectly. • The control is more confortable for gamers. • Has 343 Industries, Gears of War, Quantum Break... and that's it. • Has way better shooting games than PS4, and also shooting games feel smoother than on PS4. Cons: • Lack of exclusives (which is awful). PS4: Pros: • Has way better graphics. • Has Naughty Dog, Infamous, GoW, Bloodborne and more exclusives for this console's generation. Cons: • The servers and online stuff are not as good as Microsoft's. • Naughty Dog is good, but is overrated. They've been doing this kind of games since the begining. Yes, The Last of Us is a MASTERPIECE but Uncharted 4 is not that good. They rely on the cinematics so much, which is good more as an experience, but as I said, having that on every game ND releases doesnt feel "fresh" or that feeling you only have the FIRST TIME. VEREDICT: In the end, what we want are games, variety, and sadly, me as a Xbox fan have to admit Sony is winning this fight... FOR NOW. I'm sure A LOT of PS4 will love Halo if they could even play it more often. But also, Naughty Dog always makes a videogame with a 10/10 story line, and if you like good movies (like me) you will LOVE Naughty Dog. So... Get both, Halo really deserves a 10/10 and also TLoU. Uncharted 4 is equal to Quantum Break, because it follows an amazing storyline. And me, before getting the PS4, yes, I wanted SO MUCH to play Naughty Dog games, and I'm sure PS4 want SO much to play Halo.
i have both , i got an xbox one yesterday coz my sibling really is stuck on the ps4 for hours and so is the tv , right now im streaming my xbox one to my pc via xbox app then later in 2-3 weeks im getting a screen for my pc and xbox one , in mind tho im a pc+xbox gamer and i can also play on the ps4 sometimes because there is still some fairshare use of the tv and ps4 but this way its much faster , ill start playing some new games i didnt get to since some franchises i also missed on my 360 , the 360 is dying and when i got it i didnt really give it attention i tried to act with it as a normal console but nothing seems to be alive online or offline so im moving on and starting with xbox via xbox one now im installing quantum break btw :P
BEST OF BRITISH GAMING HD BOB Well, you could say that probably because you have played more in PS4 (than me). It is just an opinion and everyone will have a different one depending on which console they have played the most. Talking about smoothness, you are wrong. Most games run better on Xbox One, because of the fact they don't have those amazing graphics, and that allows Microsoft to run games at 60fps without getting lows. A good example is Fallout 4. So, yes, probably PS4 has better hardware, but that doesn't mean they will run better. PS4 is less stable than Xbox, due to its graphics and different processes
Just seeing littlefinger/mayor carcetti and lt daniels from the wire sold me. Gonna play the game later. No one realizes that there are two the wire alums in this game. The wire is easily the best show ever made.
+zack19192 I'll just enjoy this like a movie and watch pewdiepie do it, cause I don't want to buy a useless last gen console and an nsa spy device. Good game, wrong platform to render on
Probably the game with the most volatile reviews I've seen; scores jump from mediocre to pretty great from each website. But the storytelling looks to be on par with its predecessor Alan Wake which makes this a must have game for me; story looks awesome.
So basically it is a generic cover shooter game with a kind of generic story we have seen so many times? Plus that it is only 10 hours long, does that include the 30 minutes long live action cut scnenes? If so it would be incredibly short. Time travel thingy is a nice gimmick, but as said, gets stale very quickly. I really don't get all the hype for this game.
+RainbowUnicornz according to Gamespots review completed in less than 10 hours with the 20 min long live action scenes between each of the 5 chapters included.
+NextGenNate The gameplay for The Order 1886 is generic and can get boring since the game lacks a variety of weapons in my opinion. But the story really is something very interesting if you're into that kind of setting.
I really don't understand the hate on this game. I think the review was (shockingly) very fair. After finishing this game, imo, deserves an 8 or 9. The narrative is interesting, the gunplay is good, and both aspects weave together to create a great game that is worth its MSRP. It's not the most innovative game in terms of gameplay, and there are some things that should be ironed out (the cover system is pretty bad, as I see it), but the game is still solid overall. I feel like most of the hate is coming from people who only care about how good gameplay is. It's impossible for every game to be innovative in the shooter genre. At the end of the day, you're still shooting a guy in the head to take them down. That's how the genre works. What people should be measuring is how effective the gameplay is at accomplishing its purpose. And I think this game fulfills its purpose well.
Enate Trust me, don't think that I don't play a lot of games. Just because I enjoy the game doesn't mean I'm some naive causal that only buys 4 games a year. I don't feel like I'm giving the game a "pass" in any sense of the word. But that's besides the point. I should also clarify. There are parts of the review I also don't agree with, and I think you're correct in saying that he glossed over a lot (like the bad cover system). I meant to say that I think the review SCORE is fair. That's my fault. I think the most important part of reviewing a game is identifying and understanding the purpose behind the game. The way I see it, this is a game based on its narrative. All Remedy games are. They aren't trying to win awards based on combat. They were trying to make a competent gameplay system to link and hold together its narrative. And I think the game succeeds in that. The gameplay isn't groundbreaking by any means, but the level of detail in the collectibles to expand the "lore", the level of detail in the MoCap, the writing, and the engaging (imo) storyline leads me to believe that this game succeeded in its purpose. I've never watch an HBO/Netflix exclusive drama, so I can't say as to the relative quality, but I also think they did a good job with this show too. I'm not going to actively try to change minds here, but I just hope that more people can understand that gameplay isn't always the most important thing. The relationship between story and gameplay should be.
Yea I get how you feel about the game. An I wasn't per say pointing out that you don't play x amount of games. I was pointing out something for me that even among a heavy group of gamers. I usually stand out in the scope of genres of games I tend to enjoy. For me a large part of games is the story but like a piece of art what we each think is subjective on that matter. RPG games being my number favorite genre. Has a tendency to make nothing but the best well fleshed out characters and stories stand out for me. Most stories in non rpg games I don't expect much from these days. I just usually consider most of them the backdrop to the gameplay. Which is how quite a few games stories feel these days to me.. With a small exception here and there. An if you ever get around to it watch House of Cards and you will see what I mean. Top notch show.
Enate Yeah, I get that. I never really got into the RPG genre. I've tried with game like Dragon Quest and The Witcher series', but they never really stuck to me for some reason. I don't quite know why. I've wanted to watch House of Cards for a long time. A show with Kevin Spacey about politics? What's not to love? I've yet to get Netflix though, unfortunately.
I hate when games use actual live scenes, I want to feel that I'm playing a game with good graphics not watching I movie, feels cheap to me. But hey that's just MY OPINION.
+Samer Samara Well there are games like the Uncharted franchise that make you feel like it's a movie yet offers solid gameplay and graphics at the same time. This game may aim towards that concept so it may not be as bad as you might think. Plus the real live scenes are only part of the episodes, not in conjunction with the gameplay meaning that there are non live scenes of the characters in the game.
Yeah same, I have no problem with long cutscenes and stuff like that, but when games goes from reality to animated I just don't like it to the point were it ruins the game for me
I played Uncharted 2 for the first time on the PS3 yesterday. Finished it in one day because I couldn't stop playing. I haven't been able to finish Quantum Break on PC after 3 weeks because it feels like a chore. Both games try to be emulate a cinematic experience. Uncharted does it by allowing you to *play* the cinematic experience (so fun!), while Quantum Break makes you sit and watch or read text a lot of the time. Honestly, whether it's watching pre-rendered cutscenes, or watching the cringy, poorly-written live-action episodes, or reading massive emails with important plot points that demand minutes to read (while an NPC is constantly bugging you to hurry up), 2/3 of the game you are not playing at all. Is it a novel? Is it a movie? Is it a game? It's a clusterfuck. As a novel, it fails because it's tiring to read emails on the screen in a small font and they are easy to miss, meaning you might never know the whole plot. As a movie, it fails because the live-action episodes looks cheap and are poorly acted and written. Although the gameplay is good, there is little of it and you can never get immersed with all the breaks in the action. Didn't they realize it would be jarring to have to stop playing and watch passively for almost half an hour? Didn't they realize that it would be jarring to see the same faces rendered in 3D and also in real life? It's like they don't understand the basics of what makes a game fun / immersive. As a final note, the PC port is inexcusably bad and the product placement is disgusting (in one scene you are looking at a massive Nissan advertising board while walking past a Nissan car and the game forces you to go through that scene exactly like that).
+Marshall Mathers They know nothing about genres that´s why, they also compared Gears of War which is an third person cover shooter with Uncharted which is an action adventure. Same here, 90% of all gamers and gaming sites know nothing about genres. It´s like comparing apple with bananas, they are fruits but completely different.
Ahhhh ign I see that Microsoft cheque cleared (hence this 8/10 review when almost all others are saying 6/10-6.5/10 across the board) You really need to think about ethics when blatantly lying to ur subs TBH
this games story was amazing. it deserves a movie. I loved this games story and for a video game the acting was on point seeing as those actors are naturally really good actors
Going to pick this one up after Dark souls, I hope i still get both the x1 version and Pc version even though I didn't pre-order. Would be cool to play the x1 version then when i'm bored fo the controller switch to pc to see the better graphics and use a mouse and keyboard. Looks like another solid game by this dev team.
I got the Xbox One bundle with this game... I played it during the last week and I was pleasantly surprised... Story was pretty good, graphics are great, the game play does have some pacing issues, but it doesn't take away from the immersion... I had to get rid of my Xbox One a couple years ago due to financial hardship taking care of my mother, but now that I am back I am getting Sunset Overdrive, Rise of The Tomb Raider and Halo 5 lol... I got some catching up to do... My PS4 will be cold for a little while
Watch the know or Funhaus they're really good with reviews and they don't bother with ratings because let's face it they're pointless. They literally just say the pros and cons and let you formulate your own opinion.
This game is easily a 9/10 simply for the unique story and fun gameplay. Currently there is not another game like it. As a owner of a ps4 and Xbox One I also look forward to Uncharted 4. All of you people arguing over which console is better than the other are not true gamers. I would like to remind you that gen before last, the GameCube was the most powerful system and it didn't matter as it doesn't now. I love games so I buy every console (even the WiiU).
do you have to watch the 20-30 minute live action parts in one sitting, or can i save in the middle of them? I'm thinking of getting this soon, but the answer to that might make or break my decision.
I absolutely love the game. Story games don't get high enough reviews now a days

Just finished this game, what an awesome game. Story was great but a bit too confusing for me, maybe a second play through will clear things up. Overall, I loved it 😍
I am thoroughly enjoying this game so far, to be honest.
XenoAlbedo did u finish the game. Was it good?
@@jacktheman2360 incredible 🔥
IGN 8/10
Gamespot 6/10
Angry Joe 5/10 Huh....
ign are a bunch of sellouts
+ahmed 225 Yet the Metacritic average is 77, just because you can't afford both consoles and a PC doesn't mean this game is bad.
Cheese Cake
I never said I can't afford anything, I was just observing scores. You represent the Internet in a nutshell makes me smh
now this game has launched on steam and 87% of the reviews are positive...
and the negative ones are mostly about some performance issues
this means game is awesome...
Noro honestly now a days I don't watch such reviews :)
this game was amazing, fresh and a different feel from the rest of cover based shooters. with out a doubt one of the best storyline in a game,
+Elias Bako Yes, this game was awesome.
What about doom
Getting a ign ad about this game. Then watches a ign video about this game
😂😂😂
lol
IGN-ception.
Doesn't look as good as Alan Wake. Then again, not much is.
Eh
Only the first Alan Wake was good
+Frank M There is only one Alan Wake. The other was just a Xbox Live Arcade game kind of side story. Not a true sequel.
I hope you mean story wise, because as much as I liked AW. Graphically it was subpar compared to other AAA titles out at that time.
Zane Chambers Actually, the lighting techniques used for Alan Wake were way ahead of the pack for it's time.
This game has one of the best gameplay, shooting is so satisfying & that clicks to head omg
Did you play the game? Because im sure ign play and finish the game already!
+DEIVION212 Thing is the second play through doesn't change anything - there is only one ending - so its a bit pointless to go through again unless your loving it of course. Most say the plat forming is just bad!
I wanna buy an XB1 just for this game.
+Fly dont waste your money
lol dont. only 10 hours with no multiplayer and its a generic shooter with powers. nothing special. watch some other reviews
dont, you will regret it, get a ps4
Chief_Lockdown have one.
+Fly I bought X1 for this game
and it's Amazing
allso there's Tomb Raider
Ryse Son of Rome
Scalebound
Sunset overdrive
do I need to say more ?
One of the most underrated game ever, loved it
I got this game on sale thinking it would be okay. Was totally wrong. This game is amazing. I'd give it a 9.5/10. I think critics are being a bit harsh on it.
Video games reviewers: ''Just give us a god damn no brain shooters and we give you an easy 9/10''
+deftonesssTR Or in this case "Just give us a big cheque and we'll give it a 8 or more"
They gave the division a terrible grade though
Shane Stewart Micro$oft.
Gamebro.nl Barely happens
Ummm, Just Cause series maybe?
honestly do reviews matter anymore? Im going to get a game that I want to play no matter the review. and when a game gets bad or average reviews like the The Division, millions of people still buy it and its the best selling game haha.
+BLADE 1513
Because you're smart and can think for yourself that you don't need reviews. Unfortunately, there are a lot of mindless people who can't, so they make their decisions based solely on what other people think. I've found myself LOVING games that reviewers hated. I have a feeling I'm going to love this game despite some of the negative reviews.
AllPro777 ahem
+AllPro777 Me personally I usually watch a few reviews and compare notes to what others have said whilst judging for myself whether it's worth my time and I'll enjoy it and I've found some real gens by doing so. Gaming is much better when you can think for yourself and not just go off of popular opinion.
Reviews only matter as much as you want then to.
+BLADE 1513 I choose to wait a couple of years and see what shakes out. Hello, Steam sales...
Can't wait for May 10th 2016!
+DOGE Yes brother, greatness awaits.
+Ansel Dornan (King69Legend) nah we playing doom in May. Nobody got time for uncharted.
+FizzzyFizzz Or Nobody got a PS4?
+FizzzyFizzz I am going to play both Uncharted 4 and DOOM best of both worlds.
That crap called rise of the tomb raider
Not a great review... All he really mentioned in the gameplay was that he was given all the powers too early, then went on to praise the live episodes.
How was the shooting mechanics?
Any other gameplay elements?
How was the actual story?
Satisfying ending?
How does it compare to other 3rd person shooters?
How was the enemy AI?
How are the controls considering you have to juggle between so many powers and shooting?
He also said the action grows stale quickly but then said a second play through is well worth it for just a couple new scenes in the show, are they really that good?
Hmm I want Angry Joe to play this and see what he thinks
But first, he will be posting his April fools vid like last year with the otherjoeshow haha
You're gonna have to wait 2 months then.
Honestly the game now looks superb on Xbox SX/S, flows lovely.
He made it seem like it seem like it did everything it intended to do but had some minor flaws; that to me sounds like a 9.0
ikr
It just needed like an extra two months to be perfect.
Technical issues and a slight pacing problem are his key problems that I'm sure are why it got the score it did
+Hfajardo97 Exactly and im seeing the same thing across many sites. They say how much fun it is and enjoyable but don't follow up with a Score that shows those feelings.
Though. Yes it does because its being disingenuous
there's something i dont understand. so many people are calling quantum break "generic" and "repetitive" for its time powers and action, but uncharted 4 is receiving critical acclaim and yet it's reused most of the same mechanics for every game. why is this? this is a genuine question, not intended as a negative comment toward ps4, im just curious.
That's what I thought
There's a bias... just because a game is by Naughty Dog, it is brilliant, no matter how bad the game is.
Though Uncharted 4 sure is a nice game... not game-changing but definitely a game that is worth buying a console
Uncharted 4 just looks so much more colorful and vibrant though, and has more of a personality from what I've seen of the two games. I love Remedy so I would give this game a go, but between this and Uncharted 4, the latter seems just to pop much more because of the art style, colors, set pieces, etc. But hey, I've never played QB so I should give it a go!
btw I don't have a ps4 and own a xbox one, but I think we should give credit where credit's due when it comes to a solid AAA video game
Is that Petyr Baelish in the live action scenes?
Basically looks like the Xbox exclusive of infamous. with guns.
More like uncharted in my opinion
+Popin Corn nothing like uncharted.
Exactly what I was thinking 😀
+Jeroen v.S. About it looking looking like Infamous, that's it. 👍🏻
So...what are the odds that the #xbots who chastised The Order 1886, will praise the 8 hour long, cinematic shooter, Quantum Break?
Not defending short single player only campaigns. 8 hours isn't bad but the game does seem to have quite a bit of replay ability
Who on earths gunna praise this shite
Javi Moura The dialogue was excellent in that game though. Far better than most games
True, but at least this game has some interesting mechanics, where as The Order gave us the ability to pick up a piece of paper and, wait for it, TURN. IT. AROUND.
10 hours with 20mins i don't know how much episodes included
Both Quantum Break and Control looks like brother and sister story respectively
Playing this in 2020 as we speak, just wish it got more exposure to be a part two
this game, visually, looks insane. gotta give them props there. pretty insane.
So far completed Act 1, and I am thoroughly enjoying the game. Graphics are fantastic, so is the voice acting and so far the live action episode is good as well.
Wasn't really expecting this to be a real review since it is now April 1st
This game is fantastic. Took me quite a bit longer to finish both time lines twice at 57 hours. Last time through was on hard mode. Bought the special Quantum Break edition white Xbox One. Love it. Next is Uncharted 4 special edition. Both are great systems.
Wait there's two stories?
No spoilers please
Player One maybe he meant different choice when playing as paul
***** I don't understand
(haven't played yet)
This looks like the type of game where you playthrough it once and never pick up again only to have it collect dust.
True
If it's only 10 hours I'll probably just watch a play through online
Ph0be Way ahead of you
rustling jimmies I didn’t finish it. It just couldn’t cling to me :(
Already played 4 times, still not bored
I agree about QB, but Uncharted climbing and shooting were fun af
This game is absolutely beautiful to look at in 4k! Attention to detail blows my mind, I'm so glad I tried this game out on Game Pass.
Wow, I expected this game to get a higher score. Like a 9. As a PS4 player, I just can't wait till May 10th.
+OnePreferenceFootball Completely agree with u man. The score are a bit under whelming
OnePreferenceFootball Could've been way worse.
I like how he said the game got stale towards the end, but then played it twice.
But he's reviewing it
+Cherry Pauper The ACTION got stale. He mentioned the strength of the story however, and how the variances in cutscenes and dialogue allowed him to play it twice.
In short, while the gameplay isn't OMG GREAT from beginning to end, the story is more than compelling enough to keep you entertained in the meantime.
April Fools 8/10... it's really a 4/10 IGN :)
who stole my L
dude hold this L
Huh?
lol
***** ??
10 hours? Seriously? I Completed the whole game in hard, in 7 hours!
That black guy is definitely the motion capture guy for Sylens from Horizon Zero Dawn
I can''t wait to play this GAME!
Now to play Alan Wake for the first time.
wow!. you havent played alan wake before!..I do think that is a much better game. alan wake and max payne are my fave remedy games.
3:11 DID I JUST SEE NIGHT SPRINGS!? YUS! I am sold good sir.
yaaay! night springs tv show is back :D
wait, they stream the cut-scene online???? I have low internet connection. Does that mean, my cutscene will get buffered a lot?
yup
Is that the guy from the Scorched Trials?
Yup
And Little Finger from Game of Thrones
and CIA (Bill Wilson) from The Dark Knight Rises
ice man from xmen
+LegoDude 568 we are talking about Aidan Gillen, but yes, that is ice man from xmen as the protagonist
Just started playing it , Xbox Game pass , tried it on the Xbox One S and WOW on Xbox One X @ 4K is unbelievable so currently playing in one the One X.
I really love this game, to me it feels so unique but I do wish it didn’t try to be a tv show :/
Ok people, I DO own both consoles, Xbox One and PS4. I haven't played this game yet, but Uncharted 4.
I have always being a Xbox gamer since the first one and well, here are the REAL advantages and disadvantages for every console:
Xbox One:
Pros:
• Has way better servers and the online features are almost always working perfectly.
• The control is more confortable for gamers.
• Has 343 Industries, Gears of War, Quantum Break... and that's it.
• Has way better shooting games than PS4, and also shooting games feel smoother than on PS4.
Cons:
• Lack of exclusives (which is awful).
PS4:
Pros:
• Has way better graphics.
• Has Naughty Dog, Infamous, GoW, Bloodborne and more exclusives for this console's generation.
Cons:
• The servers and online stuff are not as good as Microsoft's.
VEREDICT:
In the end, what we want are games, variety, and sadly, me as a Xbox fan have to admit Sony is winning this fight...
And me, before getting the PS4, yes, I wanted SO MUCH to play Naughty Dog games, and I'm sure PS4 want SO much to play Halo.
i have both , i got an xbox one yesterday coz my sibling really is stuck on the ps4 for hours and so is the tv , right now im streaming my xbox one to my pc via xbox app then later in 2-3 weeks im getting a screen for my pc and xbox one , in mind tho im a pc+xbox gamer and i can also play on the ps4 sometimes because there is still some fairshare use of the tv and ps4 but this way its much faster , ill start playing some new games i didnt get to since some franchises i also missed on my 360 , the 360 is dying and when i got it i didnt really give it attention
i tried to act with it as a normal console but nothing seems to be alive online or offline
so im moving on and starting with xbox via xbox one
now im installing quantum break btw :P
If I get that Daredevil ad again...
+Mohamed Hawat you would go blind?
+Hunter Heh
+Mohamed Hawat ad block?
I keep getting the quantum break daily fix ad man
Just seeing littlefinger/mayor carcetti and lt daniels from the wire sold me. Gonna play the game later. No one realizes that there are two the wire alums in this game. The wire is easily the best show ever made.
Didn't infamous second son do this already 2 years ago,
+Ravin Ravi No, they are both completely different.
+Ravin Ravi That game was a third person shooter with time manipulation powers? Cool story bro.
+zack19192 I'll just enjoy this like a movie and watch pewdiepie do it, cause I don't want to buy a useless last gen console and an nsa spy device. Good game, wrong platform to render on
Ravin Ravi The fact that you watch pewdiepie says it all.
I think not including multiplayer was a mistake. There's so much potential for amazing multiplayer with a premise like this
Probably the game with the most volatile reviews I've seen; scores jump from mediocre to pretty great from each website. But the storytelling looks to be on par with its predecessor Alan Wake which makes this a must have game for me; story looks awesome.
+Onion Syrup At the end of the day - honestly dude, reviews are other people's opinions. It's always best to play a game and see what you want.
An updated 'Max Pain' wonderful.
Sounds kinda like the order.
+NextGenNate The gameplay for The Order 1886 is generic and can get boring since the game lacks a variety of weapons in my opinion. But the story really is something very interesting if you're into that kind of setting.
+RainbowUnicornz did you even watch the video? nothing was generic about it...
L
+Samer Samara Reminds me of PS1 games how some of them would have live action cutscenes.
+Dildo Baggins resident evil
+Samer Samara There's great cutscenes as well
+Samer Samara Well there are games like the Uncharted franchise that make you feel like it's a movie yet offers solid gameplay and graphics at the same time. This game may aim towards that concept so it may not be as bad as you might think. Plus the real live scenes are only part of the episodes, not in conjunction with the gameplay meaning that there are non live scenes of the characters in the game.
Yeah same, I have no problem with long cutscenes and stuff like that, but when games goes from reality to animated I just don't like it to the point were it ruins the game for me
Just downloaded it on GamePass. Solid so far, I really dig it.
To be honest, this game looks excellent. Good for the Xbone owners.
Why is everyone comparing it to Uncharted , i know it's an Xbox game but they're totally different.
They are being compared because it is also a console exclusive coming out in Spring/Summer.
+mkx 471 -It is and a poor one at that.
This needs a sequel. Badly.
8?? they are too kind that crap deserves a 6.
Look, this reviewer deserves a medal.
Despite Microsoft showering IGN with cash, this guy managed to give this game an 8 instead of 9 or 10
Ahhhh ign I see that Microsoft cheque cleared (hence this 8/10 review when almost all others are saying 6/10-6.5/10 across the board)
You really need to think about ethics when blatantly lying to ur subs TBH
+dustin gray opencritic.com/game/1519/quantum-break, its divisive, tons of 9s and 8s
and some 6s and 4s
+dustin gray haha man, that gave me a good laugh. Thanks for that ^^
+dustin gray It has a 77 on metactiric so obviously you're just blatantly wrong
+Goose Willis 10 is way too unrealistic
+ImmortalMachine You realise channels don't choose what ads are on videos
it's the black guy from Arrow, he's in everything
PLaying it in 2021. Great great game
this games story was amazing. it deserves a movie. I loved this games story and for a video game the acting was on point seeing as those actors are naturally really good actors
How did this get an 8? I really thought he was going to say 9 or 9 point something
Because it's not on PlayStation 4 or Steam
+Guernicaman wrong
+Guernicaman so true
IT MUST BE SONY MEDIA BIAS!!!!-some stupid xbots
Christoper Bacani it's not like every reviewer doesn't hate the xbox one
This sounds like a much more honest review than Gamespot's review
Does this now mean you can stop those annoying ads? It's gotten to the point if I see that ad im not going to watch the vid
They don't choose what ads they get
Going to pick this one up after Dark souls, I hope i still get both the x1 version and Pc version even though I didn't pre-order.
My PS4 will be cold for a little while
bro i got those 3 games u metnioned...and all 3 are fun as hell..enjoy
+Diesel I hope u didnt get Sunset Overdrive, cause its free on the 15th I think
elmor rivera No I didn't... I was going to, but I noticed it's coming out free to Xbox Gold members
I literally got a Quantum Break ad before this video.
This game looks incredible!
I honestly expected a grade higher than 9.0, won't change my decision to give it a whirl
i believe gamespots review
I wouldn't, they give crap reviews too. I'd either make my own opinion or watch a smaller game reviewer.
Watch the know or Funhaus they're really good with reviews and they don't bother with ratings because let's face it they're pointless. They literally just say the pros and cons and let you formulate your own opinion.
matsta177 just your assumption!
Christoper Bacani Not really an assumption when it's factual and widely shared opinion throughout the community.
matsta177 where is the factual? If you make a comment atlist give us evidence or proven factuals where is it?
Classic Broyles, messin' around with Fringe cases.
I want a review of the game, not an overview of the story.
One of the best game I ever played. :D
Masterpiece.
amazing story line
Great idea
New type of game to be honest
Gamerheadquarters: 10/10
Gaming Central: 9.6/10
Half Past: 9.5/10

I don't like when they mix live actors with games. Takes me out of it. Seems lame.
