Very colorful. Love the door with the big Kindergarten sign, super cute! I agree with you 100% about having a cute room that functions well. We want our students to love their space, to take ownership of our classroom community but it's important that we not only back that cuteness up with efficient function but with great teaching as well. It's like people who plan and get caught up with the details of a gorgeous wedding but pay no attention to the marriage part of the day. I think at the end of the day we must remember our true role in the classroom. It looks like your lucky students will have a blast learning, discovering and growing in your sweet space. Love your room! Sadly we don't get back into our rooms until about a week and a half before kids come back and that time is also full of meetings and training. PLUS I am going into my fourth year at my school and this will be my third classroom, so we don't just get a week to set up, organize and decorate... we also have to move EVERYTHING! Its quite a stressful week! Thanks for the inspiration for a bright and happy room. I teach 3rd grade, but still like to have a comfortable, home-like environment for my kiddos.

I put paper on a white board just today with clear packing tape! I had put it up with clear command poster squares, but it had slid right off onto the floor. I wondered how I was going to add border. When you showed the velcro idea I literally paused the video, jumped up and grabbed Velcro dots from my craft room and put them in my school bag! I'll be putting the border on that white board bulletin board tomorrow! Thanks for the idea!
It seems to have worked. So easy! Hope it's still up Monday morning. 😅

OMG! When I was setting up a classroom, we hot glued the fan ends together! Didn't know the ends peel off! Good to know for the future!

Aww! Thanks! I made the crate seats from an old table cloth. I got the wood cut at Home Depot (they cut for free - hallelujah!).

Your classroom looks great! Try fabric to cover the whiteboard. You can Velcro it too or with cork strips as a border, then you can staple. Love the colors!

Awesome vlog! And can I just say, I LOVE that you don't put any music over the video when you're doing a fast-forward montage. I can't stand when other vloggers do that (mostly because the sound becomes so obnoxiously loud and I have to scramble to adjust my volume)!

If you put those sticky clips upside down and on the bottom of the calendar boxes, they probably won't be as "sensitive" to little hands accidentally knocking them down since the clip will be on the bottom of the number/word and not on the top
I got the instant ink service like two years ago and end up never really using it because there's like a monthly limit to how many pages you can print and if you go over that there's a charge. Not my fave. Also organization just makes me happy lol

I almost fell over when you told us how many field trips you go on through out the year! How many children do you have? I'm assuming you have an E.A.? I'm also a kindergarten teacher, in Canada. I teach French Immersion, I have two classes a day each consisting of 20-25 children and no Educational Assistant. I only go on one field trip per year, and even that is challenging with approximately 50 children. Your kiddos are very lucky!
Hello, I am trying desperately to be in touch with teachers in a dual class or bilingual class in English-French. The school my daughter attends is French and we are trying to increase and improve the English curriculum for the kids. I am also trying to find how to set up self-learning centers, and how to follow and assess all of the kids ( about 40 from 2 1/2 to 10 ).

Amazing what you can do in three days! You and your style remind me of my seventh grade teacher, and your classroom projects remind me of the kindergarten classroom I grew up in, both at the Christian school I went to. Also, is the school just for younger grades, or does it go through eighth grade?

how can you plan for a year in advance? surely you need to wait and see where the kids are at and if they need to work on concepts longer or shorter?!

For the whiteboard you could have used fabric instead of paper. Love your classroom and you jamming out to christian music, When I am doing a task I am jamming out ti Christian music, Love your videos even if I am not a teacher.
