I am also Jewish. My mother's family were Jewish from Russia, Hungary, and Poland. My father was Italian Catholic. I was not a believer most of my life. I accepted Christ a few years ago. Best decision I ever made. I prayed for my son, who is an adult, was also not a believer, and had addiction problems. He accepted Christ on his own and has been sober almost a year now. I am not Jewish, but whenever I hear a Jewish brother or sister come to Jesus, it brings me joy and a smile. When I first met Jesus the first person I gave a Bible to an elderly Jewish man who I respected as a great person. He was always so cheerful with a big smile and greeted me with a joyful heart. He told me later that he gave the bible away to one of his workers. I was a little saddened at the time but when I look back I wish I could have done a little more to speak about Jesus to him.

Don't be discouraged at all, maybe his worker became a believer! And don't put yourself down. We learn as we go. I was baptized in a Jewish congregation and that year I was working for a company with a lot of Jewish workers. 37 years as an atheist...and Jesus is the only way. My life and my families lives changes for the better once we accepted Christ. My husband and I independently from each other and unbeknownst to each other we having similar experiences and finding God and Jesus at the same time. Until one day I told him of my experiences and we realized God was speaking to both of us. Thays how I know without a doubt, among many other reasons. But for us to never have a discussion about God and both of us becoming Christian without talking to each other was a blessing.
My brother and father both atheist, been praying for them for 35 years. I still pay one day I’ll get a call telling me they accepted Christ and their eyes were opened. My dad is 78 I ask God not to let him die without Christ as savior.😢

This is awesome. I have a Jewish background but my parents were both Christian. I was so Blessed to be raised in that home. I was saved at age 13. I was badly abused in my marriage, in fact, my husband tried to murder me. Jesus has saved me physically quite a few times. In 2023 in Australia (I’m Canadian) I was healed of neck pain and back pain caused by severe arthritis and damage from 2 car accidents and a fall. I never had a day without that pain. Jesus healed it all and I praise him for that. He is my Lord, my Saviour, my friend and my King!

I love this. I also am a Jewish believer in Y'shua. I worked with the homeless population in Sonoma County for 4 years, and taught Bible study at the Redwood Gospel Mission. I also stressed that the Gospels are eyewitness accounts, and I would ask "How many witnesses does it take in a court of law to establish a fact?" They would answer only 2. Then I would show them in Acts 1 it says there were over 500 witnesses. I asked "Why would over 500 people lie about something if they had nothing to gain from it?" In the years following the Resurrection, many believers were put to death for their belief. Why would someone die for something they knew to be a lie? Keep on keepin' on brothers.

I was saved through a dramatic experience with Jesus Christ. I was an opiate addict for over a decade. I was blinded by sunlight, felt a warm relaxing feeling if love, joy, and peace. I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I had a vision of my now wife walking in heaven, and then Jesus answered me in an audible voice. My wife was raised Jewish. She is the most beautiful person ive met. Unfortunately she has muscular dystrophy and lost the ability to walk about 5 years after we met. But shes a fighter. She supports my faith. But doesn't believe. I try not to worry because of the vision I had. I believe she will be saved at some point. God Bless all Jews and Christians around the world during these hard times.

I was born Jewish and through musical songs in dreams about Jesus like one called Hero Above All Ages it confirmed that Jesus is real and a live and Lord. Glad to see more Jewish people find Jesus. The music i hear in dreams i don't believe can spontaneously appear. Jesus i believe is showing up in miraculous ways
I am a Gentile follower of Christ Jesus. I found Jeff's testimony absolutely delightful. I pray to be able to have a conversation with him in the New Jerusalem. His manner of speaking made me laugh out loud....not from any feeling of mockery, but from delight in his way of speaking.
This was so encouraging! I worked for a dentist for several years as an assistant. He’s Jewish and I let that keep me from sharing the gospel with him. I did pray for him and still do! Hearing this dentist share his testimony, gives me hope that it’s possible for my former employer to find Jesus!
Jesus (the Messiah) is the living covenant. _Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament [new covenant], which is shed for many for the remission of sins._ There were righteous people [righteous Jews] who were following the covenant even before the Messiah was born. The Messiah says (John 4:22) “... we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.” The Messiah is including himself by saying we; “we know what we worship” Per the scriptures Jesus did not come to call righteous Jews to repentance... _Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for _*_I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance._* _Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, _*_I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel._* There were righteous that were already following the covenant did not need (and do not need) to be called to repentance. There are still righteous Jews that follow the covenant. They just don't know that the covenant (the word of God) was made flesh, yet they may follow him even better than you or I. The Messiah came to call the sinner. There were righteous Jews following him long before he was born and continue to even today. I always believed in Jesus but never let it affect my life, but it was in the background. Then this year I sought out Jesus and He came. He transformed me without me knowing- suddenly stopped swearing, no heavy drinking, less angry and impatient. I’m still on the road as I have setbacks but He is with me. I’ve joined a local church which I love. This all coming from someone who couldn’t remember what Good Friday was for!

My father, thanks to my mother, did accept Christ but had trouble believing in the Bible. He was a very smart man and based his thoughts on logic. He told me, that after struggling with it, he came upon the idea that he was going to 'have the faith of a child' and not worry about 'connecting the dots with logic', etc. He was just going to believe that God loved him, that Jesus died for him, and the rest was in God's Hands. I tell people, the 5 words to remember are 'The Lord is my Shepherd'. THAT covers EVERYTHING, this life and the next.
Your father sounds like a smart man. First comes humble faith, logic comes in torrents once that initial belief is stated and continually nourished by prayer and mental acquiescence.

I’d never thought about that before, but it makes so much sense that when Christ was resurrected His body was no longer in the tomb and those that had played a role in his death would’ve been very aware that His body was missing, never found, and never buried. My coming to Christ was very much like Jeff's. I was working in a facility for juvenile sex offenders, and the level of evil I was encountering on a daily basis was mind bending and soul destroying. When you face that much evil on a daily basis, you start pleading for Jesus to be real, and to be good, and to be the antithesis of everything you are seeing. And then you realize that he is real, and he is good, and he is the antithesis of all you are seeing.

Each believer in Jesus is a miracle. I am encouraged by these Jewish believers in Jesus. If you are born again through the Holy Spirit, you are saved. Forced conversion is not possible. As a believer in Jesus, we each make the decision to follow Jesus and ask Him to be our savior.

However, I could be wrong. I think the majority of Jews can read anything they want. There may be an exception where the Ultra Orthodox are concerned.

As someone from a Soviet culture (now an immigrant in the USA) I believe that the resurrection was staged by the Romans, as explained in a popular book where I'm from - "The Gospel of Afranius"; like many others, I read it in childhood and never thought about this question again - until coming to the USA and noticing a stark contrast in the discussion of this question. First, could you explain what this book says the Romans’ reasonings would be for staging Jesus’ resurrection - personally this seems odd if they had just very publicly and gruesomely murdered him. Aside from that though, there is evidence to support the supernatural resurrection of Christ. I’ll share a few! First, there are many eyewitness accounts of Jesus interacting with his followers and others post His death and burial. There are personal recordings of this (specifically thinking of the apostles Matthew and John, and later Paul) who write of their own experience seeing the risen Christ. Not only that, but the original disciples of Jesus (aside from I believe only John), experienced horrible deaths at the expense of their beliefs. For all of these disciples to willingly die gruesome and torturous deaths for something that could have been a lie or a coverup - is not something that people do. I know I wouldn’t die for something I didn’t 100% believe in. The Gospel accounts were written extremely close, historically speaking, to the life and death of Jesus. Within the same lifetime. The closest manuscripts we have for Alexander the Great, for example, are from hundreds of years after his death. Yet we have men who walked with Jesus and witnessed His resurrection writing their testimony of it within their lifetimes. To go back to your original question, I have a few thoughts and some questions (that are not necessarily towards you but just the idea of the Romans covering up Jesus’ death). For one, I don’t understand to what benefit this would be to the Romans. Why would they go out of their way to stage (which what would it mean for them to “stage” it) the Resurrection when they so deliberately executed Jesus? Are they saying that His followers staged it? If so - leads me back to my point of them not dying for a lie. I am so happy for you, Sir. I was born-again in 1984 at the age of 41. Jesus took away all my grief and anger over the death of my teenage son. The Holy Spirit immediately took away my desire to smoke and drink. AND Jesus saved me out of the New Age movement. I was trying to get to heaven to be with my son and thought I had to achieve perfection. Now, Jesus is my perfection and my salvation. He is real. He is alive. Praise his name!

Jeff's testimony reminds me of the tesimony of J. Warner Wallace, a cold case detective who also applied his forensic eyewitness testimony training to the Gospels and found that they are exactly what you would expect eyewitness testimony to be like. And then, from a Christian-mocking atheist, he gave his life to Christ and is now a Christian apologist/case-maker.

I am also Jewish. My mother's family were Jewish from Russia, Hungary, and Poland. My father was Italian Catholic. I was not a believer most of my life. I accepted Christ a few years ago. Best decision I ever made. I prayed for my son, who is an adult, was also not a believer, and had addiction problems. He accepted Christ on his own and has been sober almost a year now. Until one day I told him of my experiences and we realized God was speaking to both of us. Thays how I know without a doubt, among many other reasons. But for us to never have a discussion about God and both of us becoming Christian without talking to each other was a blessing.

This is awesome. I have a Jewish background but my parents were both Christian. I was so Blessed to be raised in that home. I was saved at age 13. I was badly abused in my marriage, in fact, my husband tried to murder me. Jesus has saved me physically quite a few times. In 2023 in Australia (I’m Canadian) I was healed of neck pain and back pain caused by severe arthritis and damage from 2 car accidents and a fall. I never had a day without that pain. Jesus healed it all and I praise him for that. He is my Lord, my Saviour, my friend and my King!

I love this. I also am a Jewish believer in Y'shua. I worked with the homeless population in Sonoma County for 4 years, and taught Bible study at the Redwood Gospel Mission. I also stressed that the Gospels are eyewitness accounts, and I would ask "How many witnesses does it take in a court of law to establish a fact?" They would answer only 2. Then I would show them in Acts 1 it says there were over 500 witnesses. I asked "Why would over 500 people lie about something if they had nothing to gain from it?" In the years following the Resurrection, many believers were put to death for their belief. Why would someone die for something they knew to be a lie? Keep on keepin' on brothers.

I was saved through a dramatic experience with Jesus Christ. I was an opiate addict for over a decade. I was blinded by sunlight, felt a warm relaxing feeling if love, joy, and peace. I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I had a vision of my now wife walking in heaven, and then Jesus answered me in an audible voice. My wife was raised Jewish. She is the most beautiful person ive met. Unfortunately she has muscular dystrophy and lost the ability to walk about 5 years after we met. But shes a fighter. She supports my faith. This was so encouraging! I worked for a dentist for several years as an assistant. He’s Jewish and I let that keep me from sharing the gospel with him. I did pray for him and still do! Hearing this dentist share his testimony, gives me hope that it’s possible for my former employer to find Jesus!

There were righteous people [righteous Jews] who were following the covenant even before the Messiah was born.
The Messiah says (John 4:22) “... we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”
The Messiah is including himself by saying we; “we know what we worship”
Per the scriptures Jesus did not come to call righteous Jews to repentance...

There were righteous that were already following the covenant did not need (and do not need) to be called to repentance.

They just don't know that the covenant (the word of God) was made flesh, yet they may follow him even better than you or I.

He transformed me without me knowing- suddenly stopped swearing, no heavy drinking, less angry and impatient. I’m still on the road as I have setbacks but He is with me. My father, thanks to my mother, did accept Christ but had trouble believing in the Bible. He was a very smart man and based his thoughts on logic. He told me, that after struggling with it, he came upon the idea that he was going to 'have the faith of a child' and not worry about 'connecting the dots with logic', etc. He was just going to believe that God loved him, that Jesus died for him, and the rest was in God's Hands. I tell people, the 5 words to remember are 'The Lord is my Shepherd'. THAT covers EVERYTHING, this life and the next.
Yeah.... Just make believe. Fake it till you make it. What a wasteful point of view to hold in life.
But you can actually connect the dots with logic.

My coming to Christ was very much like Jeff's. I was working in a facility for juvenile sex offenders, and the level of evil I was encountering on a daily basis was mind bending and soul destroying. When you face that much evil on a daily basis, you start pleading for Jesus to be real, and to be good, and to be the antithesis of everything you are seeing. Each believer in Jesus is a miracle. I am encouraged by these Jewish believers in Jesus. If you are born again through the Holy Spirit, you are saved. Forced conversion is not possible. As a believer in Jesus, we each make the decision to follow Jesus and ask Him to be our savior.

As someone from a Soviet culture (now an immigrant in the USA) I believe that the resurrection was staged by the Romans, as explained in a popular book where I'm from - "The Gospel of Afranius"; like many others, I read it in childhood and never thought about this question again - until coming to the USA and noticing a stark contrast in the discussion of this question. What's wrong with that explanation?? I'm confused, what am I missing here?..

Aside from that though, there is evidence to support the supernatural resurrection of Christ. I’ll share a few!
First, there are many eyewitness accounts of Jesus interacting with his followers and others post His death and burial. There are personal recordings of this (specifically thinking of the apostles Matthew and John, and later Paul) who write of their own experience seeing the risen Christ. Not only that, but the original disciples of Jesus (aside from I believe only John), experienced horrible deaths at the expense of their beliefs. For all of these disciples to willingly die gruesome and torturous deaths for something that could have been a lie or a coverup - is not something that people do. I know I wouldn’t die for something I didn’t 100% believe in.
The Gospel accounts were written extremely close, historically speaking, to the life and death of Jesus. Within the same lifetime. The closest manuscripts we have for Alexander the Great, for example, are from hundreds of years after his death. Yet we have men who walked with Jesus and witnessed His resurrection writing their testimony of it within their lifetimes.
To go back to your original question, I have a few thoughts and some questions (that are not necessarily towards you but just the idea of the Romans covering up Jesus’ death). For one, I don’t understand to what benefit this would be to the Romans. Why would they go out of their way to stage (which what would it mean for them to “stage” it) the Resurrection when they so deliberately executed Jesus? Are they saying that His followers staged it? If so - leads me back to my point of them not dying for a lie.
If the Romans did stage it, why would Jesus’ disciples corroborate a Roman lie over who they believe to be their Messiah, who the Romans had just publicly executed, and then write about false experiences of conversations and interactions they had with Jesus after rising from the dead, just for them to later be executed as well?
I could 100% be misinterpreting exactly what you’re meaning, so please forgive me if I am! I don’t believe this idea is very common in other places (at least not here in America like you mentioned). It’s hard not to feel that it might be a thought deliberately placed on young people to discourage them from pursing faith.
Lastly, have you read the New Testament before? After reading it for the first time, I finally understood and could see the actual personalities of each author in their writing. It wasn’t just some mix of randomness and nonsensical stories. It really felt like (and still does) that I am reading a testimony or letter from someone sharing an experience they had from their own point of view. I would encourage you to read some of it so that you can have a better idea of what’s really in there and then compare that with what you read when you were young.

P.S. I also really love the channel Expedition Bible, it's ran by a man that is an archeologist and he goes through the archeological evidence of the Bible which I personally find fascinating and grounds the Bible in history and science for me if you're into things like that!

I am so happy for you, Sir. I was born-again in 1984 at the age of 41. Jesus took away all my grief and anger over the death of my teenage son. The Holy Spirit immediately took away my desire to smoke and drink. AND Jesus saved me out of the New Age movement. Jeff's testimony reminds me of the tesimony of J. Warner Wallace, a cold case detective who also applied his forensic eyewitness testimony training to the Gospels and found that they are exactly what you would expect eyewitness testimony to be like. And then, from a Christian-mocking atheist, he gave his life to Christ and is now a Christian apologist/case-maker.
He wrote the book 'Cold Case Christianity,' right? I haven't read the book but I've heard his story, it's pretty incredible.

I converted to Christianity in my late 20's, which was almost unheard of in the 70's. It was very difficult to learn to view everything differently and overcome everything I had learned. My sister also converted to the angst of our family.

Rely felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as I reflected on Jeff's testimony. My grandfather from Cologne, Germany was Jewish. My grandmother, a Scot, was descended from Alexander Hamilton. No religion or faith was preached in their home with 7 children and a constant flow of business contacts coming for dinner what time was there for God in lower Manhattan New York City at the turn of the century in the decades before the Great Depression. However my Mother always loved the Jewish people and passed that love to me.
It was only thru the saving love of Jesus that delivered me from Alcohol, turned me to church and Bible study beginning July 24, 2000. Three years later I was blessed with the Holy Spirit and gift of speaking in Tongues. That is what started me on the true journey of self discovery and identity, grounding myself in the Word of God both Old and New Testament,
Although the Gospel was first to the Jew and then the Gentile, the prophecy of the Jews coming to faith in Christ is being fulfilled day by day, season by season and year by year
Jesus was proud to be a Jew. He often prayed to God, the Father, for guidance and for miracles. He spoke Arabic, Aramaic, Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, and probably some of a few others. Jesus is special and the fact that His words are so believed and worshipped still to this day and shall be beyond our existence proves this fact to be very successful and Holy.
