The Manaslu Circuit follows an ancient salt-trading route along the steep-sided Budhi Gandaki river. Ten peaks of more than 6,500 meters (21,300 ft) in height are seen while trekking through the Manaslu region, including peaks of more than 7,000 meters (23,000 ft) high. Manaslu region is primarily populated by two ethnic groups; Nubri and Tsum. Gurungs is the largest ethnic group in the central hills of the region. Manaslu Conservation Area covers 6 climatic zones, wonderful cultural experiences with the Tibetan and mountain people with Buddhist temples, architecture and tradition. It's on the best all.

Kathmandu to Soti khola (1350m to 599m)
At 6 am, from Gongabu Bus Park, we took a bus from Kathmandu to Arughat.We had lunch break at Jyamire following Prithvi Highway. From Arught we took local bus to soti khola.
day 1; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
-Sotikhola to Tatopani (599m to 898m)
Our walk constantly follows an undulating trail mainly through woodlands as we continue to head upstream along the Budhi Gandaki. We had meal at Maccha Khola. We began this epic trek up and down through various landscapes including forests, rice paddies, a cliff-face ridge, a rushing river, and several beautiful waterfalls.
Day 2; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
-Tatopani to Philim (898m to 1570m)
After breakfast in Jagat,climbing over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descend to Sirdibas. The valley widens a bit as the trail continues to the Ghatta Khola river. We continued walking upstream to a long suspension bridge in Philim, a large Gurung village.
Day 3; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
-Philim to Ghap (1570m to 2145m)
Buddhist influenced region, with a few minor ups and downs, mainly through the forests. We reached Ghap through Bihi with well-conserved paintings. The trail proceeds to Ghap through several landslide zones.
Day 4; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
Ghap to Namrung (2145m to 2630m)
The trail with deep forest and hard ups and downs. We decided to choose our different path to Namrung through Namla Gumba. Several Gompas with Siringi Himal is rewarding part.
Day 5; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
Namrung to Syala (2630m to 3330m)
Morning walk with good viewpoint of Siring, Ganesh Himal, and also Mount Himal Chuli to the south. we encountered village with many stupas and barley terraces including villages of Sho, Lho. In Syala village we're surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) to the left, Manaslu and large glaciers straight ahead. Other snowcapped peaks were seen to the right, and at the far end stands Ganesh Himal.
Day 6; • MANASLU CIRCUIT ADVENT...
-Syala to Samagaun (3330m to 3520)
we observed rich Sherpa culture. We enjoyed the sight of thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts, as well as photos of Sherpa women clad in traditional clothes and ornaments. We hiked up to a little hill near the Sama village,and found an old gompa-Pungyen Gompa-a monastery with great views of the glacier. We saw bluesheeps and yaks.
Day 7; • A DAY IN SAMAGAUN | 35...
Samagaun to Dharmasala (3520 to 4460m)
Enjoying the scenic views of the chain of Himalayas we walked across the rugged terrains of Manaslu region . With breakfast in Samdo we observed the Tibetan Border. Long mani walls, with a variety of birds including the vultures. Crossing Larkya Bazaar, this village began thriving from the trade with Tibet years ago we reached Dharmasala. Along the route, we saw many traditional monasteries.
Dharmasala to Bhimthang (4460m to 5106m to 3590m)
This was a special day as we walked to the highest point of the trail. We walked to Larkya La Pass (5106m) on this day. In bad weather and in the snow, the walk was quite challenging yet, it was doable. We crossed the pass before afternoon so we needed to wake up early and leave the teahouse quite early. This was the challenging part of the trek but we walk steadily, we walked to the pass successfully. The stunning views we witnessed at the pass made the trip more enlightened. We caught views of Himlung (7126m) near Tibet and Kang Guru (6981m) and Annapurna II (7937m) in the Annapurna Range.
-Bhimthang to Gowa (3590m to 2515m)
On climbing downhill, we walked through the lush forests full of flora and fauna including rhododendron bushes. Walking back across the Dudh Khola we saw many signs of a glacial flood, with tree trunks smashed and banks undermined, the track becoming quite rough. And, the trail dropped to Gurung Gowa, the first real village since Samdo.
-Gowa to Pokhara (2515m to 1400m)
Still downhill, we crossed many hanging bridges and ultimately reached Dharapani. From Dharapani we grabbed a jeep to get to Pokhara.
