Your video was a lifesafer. As mentioned in previous comments the video was clear concise and on target. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
This was by far the easiest, clear and concise video tutorial on this installation. Thank you sir! After watching a few different techniques from others , using your method was quick and way less steps. Nice clean moves sir.
Nice video. You did a very nice job of explaining the procedures simply with great precision. I feel that the best part of the video is that you made it look so easy to complete the entire trigger exchange. I hope you have more Sig videos. Keep up the great work.
Totally agree. He kept it simple and the other time i did this , using a professionally made video …it felt hugely more complicated and intimidating a task.
What’s up man, Thank you for making this video ! This is the second time I am switching out triggers on my 226 legion. I just installed this same armory craft trigger to replace the Grayguns adjustable flat trigger I’ve had on it for a year or so… Your video is so much better than the mainstream one I used for that first swap, easier to follow, and effective , way more helpful even though it’s much shorter . Now time to test this thing.
Good stuff, I guess Armory Craft has a flat trigger that's wide which required me to drop in the trigger while the sear was not installed. But totally used your video as a guide . Keep up the good work.
Considerably more difficult on SRT kit. Had to get the rear of the trigger bar in place first, then the trigger shoe fully down in the trigger guard area second. Feels 1000% better than stock. Highly recommend! Can't wait to try it out at the range.
Good to see this comment. I just read their website on the compatibility with the SRT. I have a 226 legion DA/SA and I'd like to upgrade the trigger. Thanks for sharing.
@@kruss71the SRT safety lever is longer but in no way was it more difficult to remove or install the trigger bar. You just angle the trigger bar towards the take down lever side as you pull up and forward out. Angle and down around it going back together. Simple move no trouble at all. Srt is just a longer leg the trigger bar engages.
@@ITHINKUREALESUK ...agreed, it was simple...I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't install the SRT kit with and adjustable trigger...to me, it's an integral part of it...
Thanks! I have a p229 elite dark. I wouldn't have ordered this if it was not for your video showing how easy the install is. Going to order one now. P229 is my first gun and I could feel the squishy you speak of lol. Other than that I love the SRT
Just installed my Armory Craft trigger in my Sig Sauer SP2022. OMG what a difference in single action! Less mushy pre-travel, clearly defined wall, super crisp break, still has a little creep on the reset. We’ll see how she feels after I run 500 rounds through her.
My 229 does not have grip screws. How do I get access to the necessary components to swap out triggers? Also, I have no fittings on top of the slide for a red dot. Does this mean I get get one?
Worst case scenario, since I had the same issue, was to put a finger into the clip slot and push on the sides and put a small wedge in each side of the external grip. Not too much. When Both sides are open enough just push the grip from the front end towards the back. There are nipples inside the grips that drop into the screw holes. Don't damage them. It should pop right off. Putting it back on you need to put a wedge on the thumb side to get past the hardware and remove wedge when grip is clear of levers. Should pop right back into the screw holes. This tool is out of stock everywhere except Sig, but you need to spend $39 for a kit that includes a new grip. Poor customer support for not keeping these in stock.
“Just wiggle out the locking block.” This is the second time I’ve changed out one of these triggers, and wiggling out is a vast understatement. All things considered though, great video! Thank you!
Thank you for the video! I saw reference to these on another channel, found your video, and now I ordered a Armory Craft slightly curved trigger for my 226. I have to figure out how to get the grips off though. They are the one piece wrap around type. If this trigger does what it looks like I am going to LOVE it. I am a huge trigger snob and the factory trigger has a bit of slop to it. Thanks again!
Wonder of this would be the same process as the Arex Zero 1? Cant find any videos on replacement of trigger on the Arex, but the it was designed after the 226 so...
I’ve had that trigger in for at least a year and I brought it to shoot yesterday and it’s not letting the hammer fall all the time. Any suggestions I guess it’s the adjustment screw. Must of walked on me ??
Michael'Trucking Gray Yes it would not be a problem. I have this same trigger on a 229 Legion and a 226 Extreme. Both come with SRT and it is an amazing combo. Thanks for watching.
Nice video. I have the 226 Navy. Have the srt kit for it. I assume they’ll play nice together? So I can use the 226 for competition steel shooter. Amateur of course?
I don’t see a big difference in the triggers . I personally own one . I believe the 365 xl trigger is way better , it’s short & Chrisp with less take up
Mikey Will Sorry I forgot to mention that. I DID NOT have to modify the Delrin pin at all. I just put it in and the double action resets perfectly every time. Thanks for reminding me about that.
Enjoyed the video. You didn’t mention anything about adjusting the Delrin pretravel elimination pin. Was this a perfect fit out of the package? If not, what/how did you adjust the pretravel pin?
Hey sorry for the late reply. On this gun I did not have to adjust the delrin pin. I don't know why. I dropped it in and double action engaged just fine. On other pistols with this same trigger I have had to adjust the delrin and i did so by using a surgical knife and shaving thin layers off the pin until the DA engaged. You can do it with the trigger installed. Just shave a little off then see if the trigger resets. shave a little more and try again. its a hard plastic or rubber but cuts.
Larry Endicott actually, I did do this to my Legion as well and it was definitely much more difficult to get the trigger bar back in. I just kept playing with it and trying to work it in at the right angle and it did not go in as easy as this 229 did but eventually it did go in. Thanks for watching
Sorry if I mislead but these aren't my triggers. I'm not affiliated with Armory Craft or receiving anything from them. I'm just a shooter who likes their triggers.
Have you seen any frame damage behind the trigger with that set screw hitting the frame? I’ve been hesitant to buy this because it seems like it would damage the frame that’s why I ended up getting a gray guns for my 229 but looking at this for my 226
Jay from Detroit here! Great video bud! I just picked up an M11 A1 and was considering this same trigger, but wasn't sure if it would work in my model? Figured I'd ask you if it would, especially being that it came with the SRT package already installed? Would I need to modify or change anything up? Thanks in advance, and keep up the great videos!!
Just installed this along with the SRS from GGI. Feels amazing. Has there always been an adjusting screw for thetop derlin pin? I just ended up shaving it down as it seemed a lot easier and then I put loctite on both the set screws. Not sure if armory craft had a design change from when you installed it but wondering if i shouldn't have shaved it down.. Great video by the way
Yeah the one I have has a delrin pin. my double action work just fine without having to shave it down. But if you install the trigger and do double action doesn't work then you just shave a layer and test the double action. Repeat till you have double action again
@@aruggierousmc sounds good, thanks. Already did the damage haha and works great at least with dry firing. Can you please answer my question, I’m waiting on it before I install mine, did you have to shave off the bump stop for the trigger to reset all the way?
Armen, as I said in the description for this particular pistol I did not have to shave the dowel pin. I demonstrate the double action in the video and did not shave the pin before installing. On some pistols I have had to. It just depends.
@@akaiphone you're welcome. Just install it and if it doesn't drop the hammer on double action you can shave it was a small razor knife with it still installed. You may wanna put tape around the frame and just shave little laters at a time with the razor knife
I was under the impression when Milos sold me this trigger that the short reset was the selling point. After you fire a round, whether in single or double action, the trigger reset very close to the back of the trigger housing. That was why the blue delrin pin was made to be fine tuned down by sanding it. You didn't mention short reset , am i missing something? This is not sarcasm, i am truly wondering why Milos kept demonstrating the short reset and talked about adjusting by filing the blue delrin pin down to create the shortest possible reset after firing, thanks..
I'm not sure what you're referring to, did he put up a video or something? This was done to my P229 with a an short reset trigger from the factory. I don't have a p series without an SRT to practice on though.
Milos showed me on one of his Sigs...with the weapon empty, he pulled the trigger and held it. He cycled the slide with the trigger pulled to simulate a round cycling the slide. then he slowly let the trigger out and it reset about 3/8" form the fully squeezed position. It was more of a short reset than the factory short reset...sorry if i am not explaining myself
I bought a pistol from him face to face, we live just a few miles apart...that's where i saw it demonstrated, no video...however, "falling hammer" does a youtube video showing how to sand the pin down for shorter reset
reaper32FL well I just recently sent my P229 Legion to Sig. When I get it back I'll do a good comparison before and after with the Armory Craft Trigger. Maybe even order a Grayguns Trigger and compare them.
