In this video, we will use our Firebase Authentication app and add a feature of Phone Number authentication with Firebase OTP. We will also see how to read OTP automatically and suggest it as the input in the OTP field from the keyboard.

Great video! But I am facing an issue with the hideKeyBoardWhenTappedAround in the viewDidLoad on the viewController. When that is enabled, the google authentication button does not work. How can I fix this issue?

I Followed your whole video however I am getting this error in xcode. Have you seen this before?
Beginning a fetch requires a request with a URL . Unable to get OTP Optional("Network error (such as timeout, interrupted connection or unreachable host) has occurred.")

same here.. did you fix it?. If you are using a dummy number then you can use "Auth.auth().settings?.isAppVerificationDisabledForTesting = true", but if you are using a real Phone Number then I dont know, I m also looking for Help in that.

You dont need it if you are going for manual method. But if you want silent one then yes you need paid dev account with apple

Apps Buff I think the problem is that you have to have a provisining profile setup in your developer account with push notification enabled. Then you will be able to do that on real phone numbers. i have not tested this yet coz i dont have a developer account. but if it works please let me know. Thank you.

@@MultiSimransingh Thanks for pointing this out. Initially i had missed this perhaps. I have taken care of it with this round but still while verifying the Phone number it goes to recapcha page on safari, but does nothing, and return to main UI. I am receiving code successfull, but not sure how to bypass this extra step. Appreciate any/everykind of help/inputs. Is it something to do with Ios 13?

Apps Buff The ios 13 is nothing to do with this. Maybe we are not doing it correctly. Are you getting the OTP on ur real phone number ? If yes. Can you send me your code so I can check that out and what can we do to make it work. Upload ur code on GIT and semd me ur git username. I will check out your code. Thank you.
