the pieces of the triforce do nothing! they just open doors. in the first game you can get a hold of the full triforce (assuming you have the triforce of courage) and you don't even get a damage boost. the only thing we see it do that is impressive is to give immunity to effects of interdenominational exposure and make another triforce!
