I haven't had this much fun in MCOC in such a long time. Perfect mixture of challenge, fun & cheese. And rewards to match as well. Great job to those who designed this beauty. Perfect content !!!
There are many types of challenging content. Just because Crucible is not a revive-fest does not make it less hard. The Crucible is a mix of strategic planning, skill, game knowledge, and high stakes. Once you click on that choice node, you can not change the champion until that fight is complete. Anyone who has mistakenly chosen the wrong champ on the 20th fight, knows what I am talking about. It make us make deliberate choices about who we choose for each fight. Crucible was full of fun, and did not feel like a slog even though each path had 30 plus fights. This mode brings back the fun of the game, while also adding difficulty and strategic planning. The rewards are right on target, I strongly believe the best rewards should be earnable in game. This is a good balance to spending of July 4th and other big events. Most of all, I think this content was fair. As long as I brought a good counter to the nodes, I felt I had fair chance to one shot (or close to) the fight. I was not concerned with a timer or node that would KO me after a set amount of time. Finally this mode had the fun factor! Content like this has a legitimate chance to build the player base, which is good for everyone. Hopefully we see more of this type of content in MCOC's future.
My one complaint is the crystal rewards. If we could get a nexus titan or reunion crystal. The satisfaction you get when you complete end game content is pulling an awesome champ. A nexus crystal would at least give us a chance to get a champ we really want. Small step down from abyss nexus crystals.
Great news content. When you mentioned people's thoughts on the difficulty I wonder how much people's preparation impacted that as well. Really enjoyed watching BG and Doolie take it on with zero planning.
Couldn't agree more this was great content! Great idea by Kabam, I have to believe it was less dev time relative to similar content so I really hope we see more similar ways to revisit old fights. It's borderline criminal we only fight the Ouroboros bosses 3 times (+1 with objective). They are so cool!
I would have to agree with you on the Crucible being some of Kabam's best content so far. I only did one path for Necropolis because of those ridiculous paths, but the Crucible, that was easy enough to get through without having to spend 30 minutes fighting just one champ. I ended up getting Immortal Hulk, Punisher 2099, and Silver Sable from the Titan... I should have waited on opening that Titan. I then used my 2 to 3 gem on my awakened Beta Ray Bill... He's sig 40 now.
I finally get to listen to the video not just watch. As someone who had left you a few comments about P2099 being underrated I’m very happy hearing you say you considered him to r3 if you duped him.
There is so much potential in this Crucible format.. they can literally use act 6 tuned up bosses, act 8 bosses, variant tuned up bosses, the champs on act 8 paths tuned up nodes added as bosses and much more.. enjoyed a lot tbh.. best piece of content in quite some time! Btw I pulled a 7* Punisher from one of these crystals and I will select him from the selector and is a strong R3 prospect for the future! Lot of people still don't know about him and consider him not so good of a champion..

It’s not not fun, but it’s hard for someone who’s very clumsy at playing and very time consuming. However this is the first time ive seen some champs in never thought i would use in different light and are pretty OP.
I agree Vega for the effort this was fun and rewarding and it wasnt a revive Fest that Necropolis was. 😊 i really enjoyed the simplicity of this and how our champs aren't locked in.
The Crucible was excellent. I did have to use like a dozen revives, but I had fun using champs I wouldn't have normally, and I used the gem to get Valiant!
Kabam killed it with the crucible. The rewards, the reasonable amount of revives needed, and it made use to rosters with duplicate 6 and 7*’s. I pulled P99 and Man Thing and Serpent. Insane luck!
It feels weird to be singing Kabam's praises, but no criticism from me today. Well done Kabam. I feel like Paragons can really aspire to best this too, I took a fair few fights with 6* R3's because they worked, I really value content that stretches your roster and no content has ever done it like this, brilliant.
I really enjoyed this content. What I loved most about it was, your champs were not locked and you weren’t forced to finish in one go. It extremely long, but I could take my time. I could do a fight and switch to different modes so it doesn’t feel too tedious.
Content was great! One change I would like is if you could switch champs after you die. I don't remember the exact fight but the guide said you could use Mysterio, after 30 mins of fighting, I was not doing any damage, I had to quit and restart. Would have been nice if I could have said "Ok Mysterio not working, let's try another champ". Other than that one critique, it was amazing content. I'm not a stud player, tier 2 wars, I thought it was just right, not too hard, not too easy. Loved your Cheeseburger comment, that was spot on!
5 stars from me! Loved it. Specifically how roster engaging it was. Got to use champs I forgot I even had ranked up. I even used my silver sable lol for a shock vulnerability boss. Rewards are very fair imo. Hopefully this will also solve the problem of them designing fights and nodes that neutralize herc and as a side effect neutralise a bunch of other ones. Let people use him once for whichever fight they want and then they can't complain. Awesome Awesome Awesome!
I do think it was a great piece of content. I came back to the game about 2 months ago after a few years away so my roster isn’t large. I was able to do legendary. There were a few matches that I didn’t have a great champ for and those did cost a few revives but I was able to solo the majority of it. I would love to see more of content like this. I’m hoping they do an Act 8 version of it.
The thing I really enjoyed was that you get full health every time you swap champs. So essentially, it wasn't a revive/unit/cash grab. With this quest, I'm glad for all those times I R3 or R4 a 6-Star and stopped ranking because I pulled the 7-Star version. Some came in handy for this.
It was fun as hell soloing bosses that I struggled through a little like kang and some of the fights it’s shown how much better I’ve gotten at the game
I think we should had a stretch event of doing all the full act of 7 with different champs(not split into 2 paths) ... Not too late for that to come next.
It was definitely fun content. I hated Gwenperion, I knew I would, and I made a mess of Night Carnage but it was me being tired and thinking I was too slow for lifecycle when I was too fast.
Not happy with my pulls. LOVED the content, and the guaranteed rank ups. So a little rng and a little guarantee with some very fun content. I think this was a home run
The only complaint I have for kabam is they should have given some rewards for the normal difficulty. That's it. I don't have a diverse of champs so.... I did only for that 1-2 gem

@Vega583 yeah and I took my sym to rank 2 I love him but most players don't get titans often so it's a let down to get something old. There should be a nexus option. Even if it took an extra 1000 shards but having an nexus option would fix that
Nope the crucible was not perfect if they would have rewards in the normal difficulty then it would have been but they don’t so it’s not perfect at all.

The only thing I'd like to see is allowing us to get the same completion or exploration rewards from each act on top of the rewards that were added.

The champs in these crystals are mid at best… was really disappointed they didn’t put better champs in it. The content was really cool though.
My run went great until I got to namor and forgot about the biohazard and swapped in iron man instead of omega sentinel
I wish they put gold in the rewards, but otherwise the rewards for time are pretty good
