we had one in Tasmania: The Grand Duchy of Avram. He had his currency confiscated by the government and was taken to court. He won and his bank still operates as well as his Grand Duchy nation
Brilliant, makes me want to make my own lol
Wghvdd
It would make sense if his currency was confiscated if he had copied symbols or people like the Queen or whatever you have on Australian notes.
I Love the idea of micro nations, i think it shows that countries dont allways need to fight to have freedom, it shows mabye just a little laugh and a bit of fun can solve most of our clashes XD
This is very interesting... I wanna go..
yeah no. There’s more than 140 micronations
I had in mind creating a virtual micronation named "Ornurense Portugal" and it would be like a mix of World of Warcraft with Deus Ex and Cyberpunk 2077
Texan Micronation here. We love more!
Take back the Republic of Texas!

I wonder if any of them are involved in trade with one another? I bet that'll get them some attention
Im starting a nation in Queensland if anyone wants to join, we'll claim the land and build.
Mmmm...I do miss Outer Baldania..
Here in WA we had Hutt River Province which lasted from 1970 - 2020, when it was ceded back to the Australian government. The tax got the family in the end, and the same will happen to these other micro nations.
🤪 these peeps are a little do-Lally. Though I did enjoy my visit to hut river Provence.
No, it's a hobby just as any other. It may seem odd but that's usually because they are elaborate with a lot of thought and effort put into them
Can we stop giving attention to these people?
why??? they are not hurting anybody...don't like it, don't look
@alphaarchitects8451 why?
Haters 😂
Australia exists because people wanted to play micronations 😜
