Like I would get a card and some candy and maybe a little gift from my mom/parents, so Valentine's Day to me is more about familial love than romantic love. Also coming from someone who didn't date until they were 19 but saw my friends get romantic things previously, now that I am in a relationship, it feels like a reason to be cheesier than normal. (I'm in an ldr, so I sent them a card, post-its with flowers drawn on them to represent a bouquet of flowers, and a CD with a playlist I made.) My favorite Valentine's Day was when my mom and I were visiting colleges my senior year of high school, so she got me a DVD and a little stuffed elephant, and we sat in our hotel room (I ended up getting a cold so didn't want to go outside in winter) and watched the movie eating ice cream.
Never pretend to be anyone you aren't, I've done that now I'm in love with someone who thinks they love me but really loves the person I pretend to be, just a shred of knowledge that I've learnt today!

It could be that you're pushing back the feelings you have for that person, either subconsciously or consciously, which is what I did at first for my now boyfriend of 5 months, or you're not sure for another reason. Honestly my only advice on it is to allow yourself time to think about it and figure out why you think you like them, but don't make yourself feel anything before you're ready. Just let the feelings happen when if they do.
