" Romance is not SEX" bang on. So true. The sentiment of a woman from every generation is still the same. Romance is just the feeling of happiness which comes from the most simplest of stuffs which you do in every day life, moments of playfulness, cute stuffs...it brings the couple more closer to each other. "I can completely understand the journey she has been through and empathize with the facts, relationships, and experiences she has faced or heard. Today's generation often perceives the older generation as slow decision-makers, believing that we know everything because we've seen it all and consider ourselves very wise. However, I want to convey to everyone that nobody can truly understand or feel exactly the same as their parents, not even 50%. We miss parts of their journey, just like some boys avoid romantic movies for the adrenaline rush they seek. The idea of romance may differ from others', highlighting the importance of understanding each other's perspectives. Being romantic isn't just about the traditional notions; it's about considering every individual's background and desires. Being practical means considering where each person is coming from, beyond just being romantic. There are additional layers to being truly romantic."

She spoke out the truth. Mostly Guys take women for granted when they come to know that she will stay or is attached with him. Also the part when she said that a women will stay with her children no matter what, that was so pure and it still relates to this generations women as well. Such a beautiful podcast.

Except respect..most woman don't need a man to sustain her livelihood today .. yes if you have children then the man must share responsibility... I agree with Ranveer about women needing space..
Also i don't fully agree the sister in laws fight things... Too old school ...women need to move on from the patriarchal stereotypes imposed upon them.. not all women really these days care about fighting with sister in laws so much.. she is speaking too much from a perspective of 70'scor 80's or even 90's era... But yes still i understand there are such households like that till date and I can get where she is coming from with the explanation. But she herself mentioned that she was talking about women of her young age

Your interruptions made her lose her train of thought several times. Your research seemed lacking. When she mentioned her award winning performance, you did not even mention the name of the film. Its just the respect and quite humanity we crave from another gender, which i guess is not a big deal if you give importance and time to them.

In turn, our mothers realized the importance of education, ensuring we completed our education before marriage. Now, we realize that being educated alone is not enough to thrive after marriage. Every word that she has said is correct and there is psychological difference between a male and a female which over time create difference between a couple. A woman is more giving in different terms and later when she wants to receive she doesn't get what she wants. What a woman really want is the affirmation and expression from her man even till the last day of her life whereas a man believes obvious things should not be said. Hi
Loved this podcast ! I really admire Nina Ma’am .
I am a 45 year old eye surgeon, and mother of 2 teenage boys . I loved every bit of what she said .
I would like to add to this ,Indian family, our society is still existant only because of women who are brought up the India way .
I feel , the warmth , the attachment, and keeping everyone together is because of the women in the house . And just because the woman has started being financially independent, she should not ape the west and lose her serenity .
A child needs a mother to make him/her a responsible adult , if both parents behave like “birds in the sky “ or behave like MEN , then the couple should not have kids ! Even if the mom is earning , the kids need her , to instil good values in them , at the same time , if the fathers respect the wife only then the kids will , and they will grow up to respect their wife !
The women can live each day like a free bird only after she is sure her kids are responsible, and her “ project Motherhood “ is completed successfully!
I hope it’s ok if I express myself so frankly !
Lots of love to Nina ma’am ,
    Dr Sonali Nahar
