It wasn't because the sound quality dropped on the SNES Drac X. In fact, I dare say the sound quality is even BETTER. It was just a different direction Konami wanted to take things. They wanted more of that old-school monster/horror movie vibe going on and thus you have the classic Bela Lugosi look for Dracula as opposed to the more gothic atmosphere of Rondo of Blood. It has the BEST renditions of Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, and Dance of Illusions imho

Oh gosh thank you so much for also being indifferent to Bloody Tears. I'll be honest, I'm absolutely sick of that song, especially when there are so many better to choose from in almost every game it appears in. Calling From Heaven is tbh what I would say is the best song from Bloodlines; Iron Blue Intention rightfully gets a lot of attention for being a banger, but Calling From Heaven has such an interesting vibe to it I don't often hear in other music from this series. My second place would also probably be the Staff Roll music, it holds the distinction of having my second favorite Staff Roll music in the series (right under I Am The Wind which, yes, is a cheesy Hideo Kojima-like ending song but fuck it if I won't happily let myself be executed for this opinion)
Oh yeah, and I'll throw in my opinion that the Boss Battle music from Legends is fantastic and probably the best in that game. It sounds so ambitious for the kind of sound chip it's on, such that they might have had to legitimately struggle to include that song in its final state. I'm not really a fan of the rest of the songs in that game (though I think its interpretation of Bloody Tears is fairly interesting and way better than almost every other) but the boss music? Yeah I'll simp for it.

My Picks for the community choices. Castlevania 3: Mad Forest -- It's a track that I don't think I've heard in other Castlevania Games and its opening catches me every time. I did want to say the Beginning but there are other versions of the song that are better in my opinion, mainly because they have more energy which Beginning always does well with. Rondo of Bloodline: Bloodlines -- This isn't just playing up the synonymous with Richter card, it's a very good track that immediately grabs my attention when playing. Opus 13 and Slash come damn close, but I just like Bloodlines more. Castlevania Bloodlines -- Iron Blue Intention or Sinking Old Sanctuary. Iron Blue Intention is generally a fantastic listen, and this version of Sinking Old Sanctuary is my favorite version. Symphony of the Night -- I'm going to have to go with Dracula's Castle. Though if the option was available, I'd go with my personal favorite, Wandering Ghosts. I really hope this video gets its 100 likes because I'd love to see what you think about the soundtracks for the rest of the games in the series, especially for titles like Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance and Curse of Darkness.
