St Paul’s Church, Caton with Littledale

Lovely church in the beautiful village of Brookhouse. In the west wall of the north aisle is a blocked Norman doorway containing a tympanum carved with human figures. It is filled in with coffin lids and medieval cross slabs. A variety of interesting graves from various years surround the building.

The Norman window filled with ancient grave toppers is worth the visit alone
