I recently started dabbling with carrying an extra 20lbs in a backpack for some of my walks. Might be a good way to easily burn some extra calories and get more out of the walking time if longer walks aren't feasible. It seems like a good way to get rid of those last 5-10 pounds. In my case, I'm aiming for 150 (down from 170) before adding more mass, while my old skinny college weight was 130.
@@DanJohnStrengthCoach Yeah, small frame at 5'7", and I was burning a lot of calories with retail work while not eating enough, in hindsight. When you're a sedentary kid you might not have much much muscle built up, unfortunately.
Good day Dan!What do you say if on easy strenght for pull ups do ,band asisted pull ups? I hawe weak pulling power on pull ups,my max is 4-5 pull ups.or do sets of 2 pull ups?
Dan, love the ES4FL. Where I live has challenges for walking. Curious to hear your thoughts on using a water rower for steady-state cardio in place of walking (with an eye to keeping the HR as you advise in the book)?
All of your advice is a true gift for those interested in improving health & overall fitness!! 💯🔥💪🏾
Well, thank you so much.

Wow...130...I think 20 pounds is really a great weight for most people.

I like that idea, of course. I wish I wouldn't have mentioned pull ups, honestly...too many people just can't do them.
Does the Omnibook contain the information from the Fat Loss book?
Some of it, yes....a general outline (which I give in every answer on the podcast). ESO has a lot more.

Your caveat, "an eye open to HR," is the key. It's hard not to overdo most machines but, yes, this can work very well.
@@DanJohnStrengthCoach Thanks so much!
