This has to be the BEST recipe ever!! I haven't made it yet but will be soon. I love Shrimp and grits and have used different recipes but I like this one the best!
This is the shrimp and grits recipe I have been looking for. I have watch so many different videos on this. Your recipe looks like the shrimp and grits that I had in Charleston SC. I will be making this tomorrow
One of my favorite meals. I will definitely be trying this recipe. I've never had it with the sausage. Looks delicious. My mouth is literally watering. :)
You are so awesome. I could watch your videos all day. Doing Chicken in the Air Fryer tonight with a side of rice. Then I am going to freeze the rice!!! Loved that video.
Grits are made from white corn they're basically the same thing as polenta except polenta is made from yellow corn. Hope that helps. It was very popular in southern United States cooking as it was very cheap years ago. And now is a southern classic cuisine.
@@bernadettehynes-cafferkey3917 It's not exactly the same but it will be close and still delicious. I've made both versions and I'd say I kinda like the yellow version a little better. It has more flavor.
@@Mike_5 honestly, we get a lot of UK food items here in the US, at least in my state. I can’t think of anything from there that I would want because we have stores that may have it. I don’t mind sending stuff without return or you could just surprise me. Let me know what you’d like.
I've always made them on the stove top but was wondering if it's possible to make them in a pressure cooker. It seems like the texture would be off, probably too mushy.
It's a wonderful dish, especially in this cold weather. If you can do a video for Brunswick Stew, that would be the best! It's another thing I miss from South Carolina.
It's painfully obvious 99% of you "TH-cam Wannabes cooks" have never spent a moment in a real kitchen. The biggest give away? The f***ing hair hanging down. I guess I'm funny not wanting strands of long black hair in my very white grits. Or, hair wrapped shrimp when you combine the two. What is it with everyone? You can't pull your hair back? You can't wear some type head covering? Does everyone think it's cool? It's not. Hair in your food is really gross. Hand washing. I've never seen one person do it. It's unbelievable. All you have to do is turn, turn on tap, hit the soap pump, wash rinse, dry. I would wash my hands at least fifty times a day or more while cooking. At home I still constantly wash my hands or use hand sanitizer while cooking. Try to make it a habit to cover your heads and wash your hands people. Hair and chunks of crap from your finger nails are not conducive to a good meal.
I so agree! Cooks that don’t wear aprons too!! I can’t stand hair hanging down. Whether it actually gets in the food or not it just gets in the way and is a safety hazard too and looks so unprofessional. I wash my hands constantly when cooking too or wear surgical gloves because I tend towards dry hands.
It’s refreshing to see someone who can execute a dish from start to finish. Much respect!
This could be South Carolina's greatest gift to the world. What an amazing recipe, too.
I am so glad I found the recipe, now I can make it. It’s one of my favorite things to order in a restaurant.
Yum! I’m making this tonight for sure. Thanks for the awesome recipe
On behalf of the entire grit-eating world, I thank you.

@@darlap2724 thanks for letting me know, seen the yellow polenta in my health food shop, so that gives me an idea of what its like

Made it and it was very good.
Looks good. Can't wait to try it for Valentines Day. Can you use chicken borth instead of water
I use veg broth. Same reason though. Water doesn't have any flavor.
What a fantastic job on this recipe thanks for sharing can't wait to try it
Chef John did his version of the hot brown. I'd love to see your version.
Ooh, me too!
My go to rescipe, love the gravy
We always had "mush" here up north...but it was grits just the same. No cheese; we had pancake syrup and warm milk for breakfast.
I found this channel randomly; it is really a channel that produces quality content. Congratulations.
I made this tonight. I was pretty faithful to the recipe. Really delicious. OMG.
Quick and concise which is wonderful. Not a 30 minute blow hard like some channels
I just made this tonight , great easy recipe 😋 👍

They may clog the vent. They bloop a lot. Don’t know if that is a word
Omg. That looks so delicious
Just watched Paula Dean and one of her chefs making this. Bonus. Y'all agree.
