Is it bad that I've had a crush on Olivia for 50 years? I fell in love with that angelic voice and looks in the early 70s when I was about 8, because my parents liked her. I saw the movie Xanadu when I was on a Air Force base at the base movie theater which I lived right across the street from 10, yes 10, times because I was, and still am a HUGE fan of Olivia's and will always be from now on. She's a Angel now singing in Heaven where she belongs. When my time comes for Heaven I want Oliva singing to me in person up there. RIP
This was a sad and black month for her relatives and fans. I'm from her same generation and listen to her voice always made feel like a teen again. However, now she has gone, at least she went to a better place, where she will be happier, the Xanadú garden.

I just recently re-watched it. It gets a bit better with age. It drips with 80's nostalgia and Olivia was just absolutely gorgeous in it, and the soundtrack is still so damn good decades later.

And since she was the original singer on the record, she doesn't have to pay royalties to perform the song live. Although I'm sure she doesn't begrudge royalties to him each time it appears on one of her Greatest Hits albums.
He doesn’t sing it well, that’s the paradox of all good ELO songs, the music is beautiful but his gruff ragged voice doesn’t suit them at all. If the music’s good enough his voice doesn’t ruin it, but they all would’ve been better with someone like Olivia Newton-John singing.
