the fact cena kept losing and pretty much being buried in this reminds me of how i sometimes see the universe mode go book the high OVR people to win the most and have long reigns, then if i decide to watch one big defense, i see if the moveset is actually good enough to win a normal match since normally it just focuses on the overall score, not stuff like defense and kickout range.
its like even the weaker ovr folk can get over in the match against a way superior opponent which way more rarely happens if you sim and skip the matches.

Actually news flash and this is what I heard from The Big show himself in a TH-cam video that it was supposed to be a match between John Cena and Edge at WrestleMania but Cena wanted Big show to be a part of that match so that's how the whole storyline happened
