I agree it was mid. but as an early 90s kid it was kinda cool to see the business side of DX, The Stone cold intro and impact to save the company almost. And how much i loved WCW. Owen Hart part seemed....almost too casual.

I watched it, and I did learn some new things. HHH and Shawn Michaels flat out admitting their roles in the Montreal Screwjob was shocking to me (on a wrestling scale, Vince's sex pest behavior is obviously more shocking on a real life scale). It's also realistically the only way you're ever going to get Vince and Hulk Hogan to talk about this stuff. It seems quite clear to me that nobody employed with WWE is allowed anywhere near Dark Side of the Ring.

What many have to understand is that the concept and making of the documentary literally came years before the latest sensational scandal. I believe majority of the hype came from the scandal. Many people thought it was either mostly about it and/or is truly a peek into the apparently crazier than wwe life of vince. First of all, the documentary came with the imprimatur of the man himself, anyone who knows wwe and his style knows he's literally a control freak, heck he even dictates word for word what his in ring commentators say. They're essentially just meat puppets for him. Does that strike you as something that will be a true no holds barred and uncurated look into his life? And two, it's produced by Netflix. A company who literally has an interest in vince and mostly wwe not being cancelled or being seen in too bad a light. Keep in mind that they basically bought ten years of the product for five billion. Does that come as a producer interested in destroying the man and his work the wwe? No. We all just expected too much in the light of the latest vince escapade.
