      Alvin Cerna It helps them get more bounce out of the squat. Also it takes a little pressure off of the knees, its a safety measure

      You can squat around 100-150 pounds more with that wraps
      And with bench press shirts you can bench much more too
      thats powerlifting with equipment, most of the lifters are not really strong.

    Even though most of them probably are or have been on gear at one point, you can't deny that those lifts are pretty fucking impressive. Especially at their age. Most of the people in the comment section would NEVER dear to get under anything over 500lbs on the bar.

    • @AverageAmerican144
      @AverageAmerican144 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    • @AverageAmerican144
      @AverageAmerican144 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bruh I'm talking about the people that don't lift, people that do lift can most definitely reach 500 pounds without gear, would just take a while. YOU said the people in the comments section and most people that were saying that are on gear don't lift and those were the guys I was on about

    • @thetemeculain1758

      @matthiasspiegel5321 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      First of all, thats subjective. So you consider working towards a goal while getting stronger, more muscular and improving your form on a lift a waste of time? Cool. Well, I probably find a lot of shit that you do fucking stupid.

      Most powerlifters- not all just some, aren’t athletic they’re just big and strong. Most can’t run at all. I’m not saying that this is the case with these kids but if you deadlift 700 pounds, and you’re athletic and can run then you’re a scary person to be playing against.

      Trey Arras I'm talking about the upper 50%. The ones squatting over 700lbs and deadlifting/ benching crazy amounts. There is crazy strong, and then there is drug strong. 1025lb squat as a teenager and you think he's Natty? GTFO lol.

    • @okiedokieoner
      @okiedokieoner 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      SRT Viper 51 you realise the guy who squatted 1025lb has squatted 365kg raw in an ipf meet ? apparently hes been running stregnth programs for 10 years. his squat is stupidly strong but his bench and deadlift arent at the same level.

And thats coming from experience. Euless, TX. Trinity high school. In there repping out 405 on bench like its nothing. Squatting over 600+ pounds. Drug tested every month. And yall wanna talk bout form?? Powerlifting rules is you must be parallel to the ground or below. Doesnt matter. And to me in this video, it sure looks like theyre abiding by that rule.
