Louis... my life long friend, this is your best sounding, best voiced amp for yr playing, and yes, I can hear all the notes. It's not like over done. This is a great setup

I don’t mean this in a negative way. I am the same way…have a ton of amps yet the tone sounds almost the same in every demo. I find myself dialing in everything to the same tone I like. Rock on 🤘

That thing sounds killer man, I´m glad to see testing it with EMGs, I´ve just bought an EMG Het Set and I installed in my SG ... an strange combination but I like a lot and with my valves preamps the SG sounds like an angry bulldozer!!!

Sick tone! What cabs (& speakers) were being used and do you remember roughly the gain and tone settings? Was the gain around 12-1 oclock?

Crazy, right!! It's the boost that I'm running that helps it, since these two channels are the green (clean) and blue channel (crunch) of the SLO. The three channel Soldano X88r is more like the SLO because is has the third red Lead channel but I'm happy with it. : ) Have a great New Year's Eve ,Tom!!

Even with the 24 volt mod those EMG’s are still not clear sounding like a passive pickup. Stellar pairing with the Sp-77 and Mesa poweramp
Yes, I totally agree with you. I love passives WAY more but I feel like I can like EMGs again. : )
@@louistorres call me weird but the older EMG pickups sounded brighter, I played Steinberger’s and I loved the 81 I put in back in 92
