Just ran across your channel watching Millennial Farmer. Nice to see Upstate NY dairy farms. Grew up in Skaneateles area and worked on a couple of farms in Sennett. when in high school, one beef and one Dairy. ( back in the late 70s early 80s) I live in Oklahoma now and have help a couple of different farmers/rancher here. ( farmers have cows, rancher don't ) It still confuses me LOL. I cannot amazing the work to milk that many head a day. 100 , 2 x a day was bad (with a dump station) times have changed.
You'll love the ILS front suspension, the 8310R I'm running has it and it's tough to go back to the solid front axle in the 8120 especially when your running the grain cart or any other implement that your running across the field at a faster pace.
Nice tractor the dealer is 3 1/2 hours soulth of me Last fall was my first real time running tillage and pulling gravity wagons and spreading manure at our farm running our 8100,8330and 7920

I was on a wd45. I ran the neighbors b John Deere raking hay and hated it. To start it you had to spin the fly wheel and then had to contend with the hand clutch. Brakes on that thing well there wasn't any.
@@oldfarmer4700 When being too small to reach the foot clutch, then the hand clutch was a "life" saver.. or would have had to wait until a bit older. Same with the brakes (never had one that the brakes were not maintained and good), when small at 9 yr old, could stand on the deck, and step (stand) on the brakes.. easy to do. But starting the Deere with the flywheel was a man builder.. The old A was used daily through the winter to spread manure (pitched on by hand one fork full at a time), and starting at negative 25F would build up a little body heat. The good old days..
This has nothing to do with this video but I watched the vid of you and Andrew at your table in the house ,you were drinking milk with Ice in it. I love my milk and the colder the better, I now never drink my milk with out an ice cube in it. What a great Idea..Thanks..dont know why I never thought of it.

Those tractors will pull a pair of chisels real well, now then are some toys. Jr probobly really likes having no school ik I do, I have to do some at home but I have alot more time to go get spring equipment ready and do field work earlier.

Still making the 2-cyl tractors then.. Dad was an experimental engineer and worked on developing the Model R diesel for 13 years before it made its debut 1949. Congrats on the new April Fool tractor.. two thumbs up..

Make sure atleast once a year to lift on the cv joints on the front end, the rubber seals are pretty common to get torn and dry up the ball and socket. Also read through the manual about greasing the front drivelines and steering cylinder ball and socket
How long did it take for Andrew to stop grinning ear to ear when you took delivery? Lol! He's still got the grin and looks very proud to be operating the new iron. Warms my heart to see him wanting to be involved in the day to day operations. Thanks for another great video, as always!

Like a lot of farm kids, I started driving when I was big enough to hold the clutch down. Ya can't learn that in school.

I was on a 720 diesel mostly, but have ran my uncle's B a very small amount.
