How much modification is allowed for a "production" vehicle? Is it limited to safety and weight reduction or are powertrain and aero modifications allowed?
@@w0ttheh3ll Maybe, Elon said on twitter that it should beat the fastest time on the Nurburgring in September 2019. He said they might take it to that track in 2020, but now it looks delayed to next year.
This is the aspect of electric cars that really motivates me!
All-out competition!
this video helped a lot understanding the pikes divisions.
Okay Zac, I am subscribed, I hit the like button and can’t remember the last thing you said!
innovation has always been there

Great question 🙋
Know of pictures of an ed Kinney racing against the elder Unser, when they did the race up pikes peak in reverse (no gas pump).
What about the Tesla Roadster ? Will Zac and Jesse eventually be racing that up Pikes Peak?
Tow a 1908 Baker electric up pikes peak.
what about the new Roadster? I _REALLY_ want to hear some conjecture on how THAT would handle Pike's peak, and what classes it could conform to.
I guess it would be in the production class. With the SpaceX package it might be a competitor for the overall fastest time, but I'm not sure.

Oh look.. solar roadway 🤣
There is no way you could safely race the semi with a full trailer around those turns Jesse.
