  • Finally separated the babies at 3 weeks and got a full morning milking from Sugar. This is her first freshening and we were very pleased with how she did! We weigh the milk to see how much we get and compare day to day!

    It really depends on what they are eating. If they are eating a lot of grass and weeds then it’s going to be more “goaty”. Sweet stuff like alfalfa it’s going to sweeter. The biggest difference is the butterfat content. It’s not as creamy. It’s more like 2% milk. You just get a ton of it!
