However, after watching videos like yours, my perspective has shifted. Now, at 42, I'm convinced that there is an afterlife. I just wanted to express my gratitude for the impact you've had. I have to write this because its what popped into my mind just now - the immortal words of The Turtles from their 1968 hit song: "Elenore, gee I think you're swell!" and... "Elenore can I take the time to ask you to speak your mind?" This was an exceptionally good NDE story. One of the better ones I've heard in a while. Thank you Elenore (sp?) and Leigh for sharing this. I'm getting to the age where I'm starting to lose friends and family members left and right. This account was very concise and well written, and hit on pretty much all the major points. I must say, the idea that N.America will lose 90% of its population does not surprise or alarm me. I just hope I'm not still here to witness it up close and personal. But that may be the case. Time will tell. As Freddie Mercury once sang, "its in the lap of the gods."
I keep reading that we are just like Avatars in a game or Actors on the stage of life. This experience says the same. I often lokk at my arms and legs and feel like I can actually sense my Soul manipulating my body to move. I think that's called awareness and it's really exciting to have that understanding. It must've been both a blessing and a hardship, to have this NDE, because of the two very different "lives" you've had to experience here on earth. To realize and understand our true existence in Heaven versus our existence here on earth must be wicked hard to endure although it sounds as if you've been able to reconcile the two pretty well after all this time. I do believe we all choose to come here, knowing we wont be able to remember all that we previously knew and understood, but that it was necessary for our spirits progress. The things you witnessed happening in earth's "future" are happening now and I believe you're right in saying we cannot change the end result. It's the result of all actions and choices of mankind over millennia. God does have a plan for us and we need to do our best to work within that plan! I looked out this morning and the sun was one. Turned on some music to start my day. I lost myself in a familiar song. I closed my eye's and I slipped away.
I listen to a lot of NDE‘s because I find them to be extremely uplifting, and I have been blessed with some gifts from creator myself that I do not spend enough time growing and listening. (complacency.) This is one of my favorite NDE shared experiences I have listened to. Your detailed account connects your experience spiritually with depth that is not only uplifting, but paints an incredible picture in a very important way. I know it is easy to say but hard to do.....we need to really listen and belive the overwhealming Love that these people experience on the other side is real. We need to take that from this site and Know that it is real. Then, when life gets us down, as it will, we need to lean on that faith, that knowledge. Lean hard on it and lean on God, don't give up. There is a reason for each of our existence here. We will get answers on the other side. Don't disappoint yourself by not completing this task here, no matter how difficult it is. Go back to the NDE's that inspire you and that you connect with and use that good feeling to rise above and get through difficult times.
Try to hold off on making too many conclusions. The entertainment industry is still very much focused on trauma, drugs and terrible events (like nearly-dying). Better information will arrive when they begin to release the spiritual encounter stories from meditation and waking spiritual travels. After that, they'll release the "spontaneous remission" events (Miracles). Most people still want to click on the very dramatic and scary stories (placing the word "helI" in the title will double the ad revenue). It's going to be quite a while before that changes.
@wjosepvI agree with this suggestion , Joe. It’s the only thing in this tough life that makes complete sense,and so easy if you think about it. How much energy do we put into Worrying? A lot . Try it. There’s a real calmness that follows. We do not know it all and in doing this brings a ripple effect in everything we do afterwards. It’s a Freewill act that really pays off.
