I'm glad that I found your channel! I wanted to find someone who is also trying to downsize their collection by using their products, instead of just throwing it out. Love the spreadsheet and charts hahaha
Aimee, if you want two of something… that’s okay!! You should have a powder and a cream version if you want it. It’s not like you have seven or eight! 🎉
Suggestion for total change amount - subtract 2020 numbers from 2024 so it gives you more accurate change for example -5 foundations (not +5), and switch around 1-year change calculations because your foundations are actually +2 not -2 (coming from fellow spread sheet nerd) so basically your latest data minus what you're comparing it to
I think that some of the calculations aren't correct, looking at the spreadsheet, but I believe you have noticed as well 😉Either way, you've made a great progress 😊And you have very much inspired me to go on a low-buy. I started it back in November, including budget review and overhauling my finance and I am proud to say it's been going well. I only bought an eye cream and a concealer since then which were needed as replacements. Pretty good for someone who used to buy multiple new beauty products every week 😁
So impressive! It is not a hoard anymore. So many categories are at only one which is ideal. I am way higher in lots of categories that make no sense to have more than one, but the general idea of No Buy is helping a lot. Loved watching this! And girl! Do I love your spreadsheet!
I may have missed you saying it, but if you were at your goal in every category, what would the total be? It would be really interesting to see how much further you actually have to go to get from that 151 to your ‘ideal’ cosmetics collection.
Thank you! I decluttered one last year after it hit pan. And when I started, 3 of them were already at pan if I remember right so it didn't take too long to use those up.
You are making great progress. I am doing a replacement only no buy in 2024 for cosmetics and most toiletries. I made a list of my go to day to day essentials for everything, and anything that is not on that list won’t be replaced once it is gone. There may be some product swaps as I’m now in my mid 40s and my skin is dryer than it used to be so some things I had been using aren’t working as well as they used to.
Omg. I love seeing products that hit pan.❤ I love no buys but I did worse when I said I wouldn't consume. I prefer now to say low-buy. I treat each purchase as an investment. That changed my focus to really dabble and hone in on what items I continue to repurchase. I have makeup until next year. I forgot to date my products though. 😮
A no-buy is a really good option if a no-buy is too extreme. I always forget to date mine too and I end up having to scroll back through all my videos to work out when I opened things 🙈
I haven't used BB cream for years, but if you're interested in tinted moisturizer, I like the $6 Wet n Wild tinted hydrator, and I think this brand is cruelty free too.
I think you’re at a great spot! No way I could ever go this low, but I am trying to get several categories down to just what I need at a time. But it takes so much time!
Great video, Amy! Happy New Year 🎉🎉 🌲 🎁 🎆 🎊 🎊 I am trying to have less makeup products. I went from 210 to 140 in 3 years, but that's still more than I need. I hope I'll have around 70 in 3 years.
Have absolutely loved your project pan and empties series this year! I've made it my goal to take total inventory of EVERYTHING I own next year (I've started but have some work commitments that mean I can't fully dedicate the time to it rn). I'm planning on also doing a breakdown of the brands I own as well as for make the colours of things that I own so I can really try and minimise it becauseI definitely don't need like 6 neutral eyeshadow palettes 😂 good luck with your 2024 goals!
Genuinely just started my own makeup spreadsheet, thanks 😂 I really like Merit ‘the minimalist’ for light coverage (but it needs the merit serum or a good moisturiser if you have dry skin I think).
I did my inventory also some months ago. Although I started project panning In June 2023. I counted 268 products (skincare, haircare, body care) and 80 products make up..... And if I would count perfumes that would rise up another 100 items 🙈(I was like a collector, but it's kinda useless if they go bad). So it would be 448 Products total and perhaps 10-20candles🤔but I already used up many of them cause I lighted 5 at the same time. (for feeling and cozyness) Oh and I forgot Nail polish.... Oh never counted but I think 20 or 30 for sure... Oh my 😮
Already excited for the 24 in 2024 project pan! If there is even that much to pan? Bodywash and hand cream, I guess. I used up the last of my foundation and am at the moment awaiting the arrival of a BB cream that is definetly a splurge. I will let you know if it is everything we ever dreamed of.
Hiya, you're doing great!! Loreal magic bb is my go to in the summer it's lovely just evens the skin out, it's a white one znx tge pigment pops when you rub it in x
Thank you! I'm still coming up with a plan for project pan. I'm not sure I have 24 different types of products left to use up at this point, which is amazing but also...what do I do now? 😂
Ohhh a cruelty free BB Cream is hard to find because most of the best/most famous brands are Korean, and one of Korea’s biggest markets is the Chinese market, and as you may already know, it’s a Chinese law that all cosmetic products must be tested on animals for “safety” (at least last time I checked it was, correct me if I’m wrong!). It’s pretty rare to find a Korean brand that doesn’t sell in China because that’s where the money is.
For BB cream, you could just take a small bit of your foundation or concealer and mix in with your moisturiser and you’ll get the same effect. For blush, I really recommend the Rare Beauty liquid blushes. I bought the mini and I know it’ll last forever as you only need the tiniest dot and it has way better staying power than any cream blush I’ve tried.
I'm glad that I found your channel! I wanted to find someone who is also trying to downsize their collection by using their products, instead of just throwing it out. Love the spreadsheet and charts hahaha
I'm so glad you found the channel too! All spreadsheet nerds and chart lovers are welcome haha!!

You're so right! ☺️

You know, as I was editing the video, I was looking at the numbers and I was like…this isn’t right 🤔 Thank you!
@@AimeeRebecca also - it will be so satisfying to look at all the negative numbers thanks to your hard work using up the stock.

Something about that math was not mathing but I think I've fixed it now 😂 Well done! That's a big achievement!
@@AimeeRebecca Thank you 😉
This takes girl math to a whole other level! 🤩
This is my calling in life 💅
Great video, down by half is fantastic!! How have I not come across your channel until now?! New subscriber!! x
Welcome!! I glad you found me 🥳🥳 x

Loved watching this! And girl! Do I love your spreadsheet!
A no buy is the best for getting those numbers down! And thank you! ☺️ it needs a couple of tweaks but I love it!
I may have missed you saying it, but if you were at your goal in every category, what would the total be? It would be really interesting to see how much further you actually have to go to get from that 151 to your ‘ideal’ cosmetics collection.
I’m curious too! Could you do best case scenario for each category? Maybe add a column?
This is such a good question! I need to go back and check.
Your spreadsheet is goals! Did you use up 8 bronzers?! Or were some declutterred?
Thank you! I decluttered one last year after it hit pan. And when I started, 3 of them were already at pan if I remember right so it didn't take too long to use those up.
No judgement I have way to much and am project panning. Christmas is where I buy more. It’s tough but am slowly getting better about that.
It’s hard at Christmas time because the deals are incredible! 🙈

Oooh, I'll look it up! Thanks ☺️
Why am I still obsessed with this project/series? I don’t know, but I am!
Same! I don’t think I’ve ever been committed to anything for this long 😅
I wanted to say that you don't have to have 2 blushes to reach that. You probably have enough lipsticks they function well as cream blushes ❤
omg yes! It’s finally here!!
Long awaited!! 🤩
I think you’re at a great spot! No way I could ever go this low, but I am trying to get several categories down to just what I need at a time. But it takes so much time!
It's such slow progress. I love that I thought I'd be done within a year 😂

Amazing! 🙌 Thanks so much for the recommendation

New to your channel! Also a fellow makeup math spreadsheet nerd!! So excited to have found you!! 🫶🏻
Welcome!! You are definitely in the right place 🤩💕

I was thinking this. What’s left to pan? 😂 Oooh do let me know. Hopefully it’s a game-changer 🙏🏻
I’d love to see what you have for all your makeup for the new year.
Oooh! I love that idea. I'll have to share my makeup collection ☺️
Spreadsheets and random tangents I love 😘. I am upgrading my spreadsheets to have a pie chart now. Looks so good!
Pie charts make everything better. I don't know how it works but it just does! 🤩
You are doing great. This is wild!
Thank you!! 😁

I think I used that one year ago when it first came out. Blast from the past! x
Hi Aimee, can you share your template w/ us too?
I need to make a couple of adjustments (my formulas have gone a bit awry!) but I'll share the link when it's done
Great job, Aimee! Are we getting 24 items for 2024? 🥳
Thank you! I'm still coming up with a plan for project pan. I'm not sure I have 24 different types of products left to use up at this point, which is amazing but also...what do I do now? 😂

Fab vid, do u include sample sizes or is that not worth including? Iv a million products i need to do better!!
I used to. I don't have sample sizes any left anymore but when I first started I had loads!
@@AimeeRebecca woah really? Well done 😄 i dont know how i accumulate so much 😅
Aimee are you Welsh? I'm from the Welsh Valleys and now live at the Welsh coast.
I am Welsh! ☺️ I live near Swansea
