I remember Edinburgh 'buses et al. 1970 ... Different times. Almost Holy. 🤔 Married 3 April 1970, St Mary's Cathedral, Leith Street/Broughton Street. Slightly stoned-ish, but *aware and respectful* . Many more stories, probably to the grave and my next Astral Plane. Stay free. R 😎
I'm too young to remember haha though now getting older for sure. Everyone in my family used the buses alot and they are definitely something you associate with the City which makes you feel like your home.
I remember 322, which i used to ride on quite a lot when i was growing up in the Early/Mid 2000s and i also remember, 285, 210, 112, 701, and 572. I can vaguely remember, 777, as it was withdrawn from public service the year i was born. I remember going to and from Ocean Terminal, on 322 and 572, as they regularly operated service 1, one of my local bus routes.
@@FPs_transport_vids I'm glad 572 has been added to the buses now in reservation, remember the Dennis Tridents alot with the single doors especially on the 26 server. Sometimes you could accidentally find yourself having to choose between an Eastfield, Seton Sands and Tranent bus at the same time. I've not been on the 701 style buses as much, still prefer the older buses especially the Volvo Olympian where you can sit sideways. Brighton Place in Portobello was a great bumbing along on the 42 route.
@@EnchantGaming2003 It's always interesting hearing of everyone's memories of the buses in Edinburgh. 210 reminds me of when I travelled to some University open days visiting Marchmont on the 41 and Craighouse for the first time and Cramond. 777 I remember alot at Kings Road where the drivers change, a great place to see them being next to the bus station. Always loved the sound of the vehicles. Hopefully will get to film some new footage very soon after a horid 2020. Alot of exciting work going on behind the scenes though with some newly restored Edinburgh buses being added to the collection such as some Atlanteans and a Leyland Lynx. I also discovered there are x3 Lothian Volvo Olynpians in preservation.

Do you remember any of the buses in this video in and around Edinburgh and have a story to tell? I would love to hear your comments
The only ones I remember in service are: 572,701 as I am not old enough to remember any others
