Great video and even greater bull! I was thinking to myself “quit talking to the camera and get an arrow in that bull” when you had the bedded one at 27 yards but I guess everything happens for a reason and that missed opportunity gave you a bull of a lifetime the next day! Congrats from a fellow Alberta elk hunter who understands how hard filming and hunting elk in Alberta can be.

Hey Donnie, Thanks for that, I appreciate the feedback and always welcome criticism. Reach out on Instagram I’d be happy to listen and see how we can improve.
As hunter winds is our worst enemy. Perseverance and hard work as the best tools and most of the time payed off. Hunting is about connecting with nature and respect of the animals we pursue. You got it right my friend. Congratulations on the magnificent elk you harvested. Thanks for sharing with us.
Yea I always carry my steri pen but what I dint have time to put in the video was I got stranded on that side of the river for 8 days. When the river went into flood and my buddies house was on the other side where we planted I. Getting out water every few days. so I wasn’t as prepared as I normally am and I paid for it… Thanks for watching!
Absolutely the biggest bull I've ever seen. And of course, a bow range shot with a rifle. Bow hunting is a special challenge, and if you want the bragging rights you gotta stick with it (not pun intended!). I have bow hunted many years and got busted many more times than I took the shot. In my opinion , for what it's worth, just getting in range and having the chance is BIG. Congrats on a bull of a lifetime, and looking at him on your wall will bring back the hunt for the rest of your life. cheers!.
Hey Bruce, Agreed sticking with it would have paid in hindsight but It was riffle season, I was just making things harder on myself lol at that point it was more about the elk meat than the bragging rights. I’m not sure I’ll ever get a chance at a bull like that again so anyway it happened I’m as happy as I can be to have taken him. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the engagement! Enjoy the elks steaks I know I have been !
Wow what an animal! Now I’m not going to tease you about the “Gardia “. It’s just a shitty situation! It’s crappy if your buddy jokes about it. Kidding with ya buddy. Love your films even with a little vomiting 😄
