You are very precise. I am not. So, I would have sold the “broken” vacuum to my neighbor, who is precise also, for the price of that fuse ($6.00) and purchased a new shop vac.

Old me would have definitely thrown something like this away but now that I’m more and more intrigued by how things work, I like to seek out broken things on Craigslist or FB marketplace and challenge myself 🙂 I’ve learned a lot so far and sometimes it can be fun (other times frustrating!)

There's video by "NK Garage" called "Testing the Ridgid Wet Dry Vac Lifetime Warranty" where guy got free replacement without proof of purchase. If you tried warrantying before trying to fix it - maybe you could have gotten 2 vacs for free 😆

Where were you a few months ago! Haha oh well. $1 for the repair and learning about the machine was worth it in my opinion.
