Mali in the bottom 50 countries in the world regarding development. The fact that these Mali athletes are playing at an international level is fantastic for these athletes. It is a difficult comparison to make when comparing a country like Mali to the USA because one country is among the best in the world regarding sports programmes and the other is a country that is still pushing itself through every day life.
What has the colour of anybody's skin got to do with basketball? Or anything in general? They select athletes based on their skills and talent... Literally nothing relevant to race at all.
