My budget is a lil more pricey my 1st mic was a at2020 I sounded good in mids bassy on lows and resonated like on highs so I get afford tlm 103 or u87 what out 4mics you think I should get to replace (Nt1a,lewitt 440,p220 ,p420)
Personally I think the pre sonus got the most balance frequency response from what Im hearing from the raw. None of these mics are bad as long as they got enough lows from 40hz and highs till 15 khz at minimum. Overall all mics are great and I dont think you can go wrong ( for a budget mic) . Keep up the great content my guy! Always a fan of the mic comparisons 🔥🔥
Thank you for also watching and supporting the channel!! The Presonus sounds good, but I just saw that they removed the $50 promotion price to $70... so unfortunately it's not under $50 anymore like the rest.
No one even has voice information at 40 hz so it really doesn't matter. There's a reason why live mic often only respond and 50 hz and higher. 15Khz is also pretty arbitrary. Voices often cut off long before then.
Correct I'm currently using the presonus M7 and it's definitely better than th USB Blu yetti mic I used to record I'd say I'll probably upgrade to a neumann condenser mic in the near future probably either the tlm49 or 103
Ive had the Behringer C1 for maybe a decade now, and fun fact....it has a wind sock underneath the grill. I found out because I dropped my mic and the top flew off lol
I would love to see an updated version of this video if it’s not too soon! These mics are all suprisingly good and it’s cool to see mics that often miss out on the spotlight due to their cheap pricing points
Mics don't really change. We get better for cheaper that's about it. The MPM-1000 for example is significantly better than the AT2020, despite being significantly cheaper and including accessories. The mics in this video, such as the C-1 and MPM-1000 are extremely close to what's physically possible for microphone quality. Going a little higher to something like a V67G for more than double the price doesn't improve your audio quality.
For me I think C1 gives the most notes out of your voice which you can adjust according to your taste later. But a bit harsh. 2nd best is Martin and Presonus M7 , but it dulls a bit and other microphones just take the most of your voice notes
behringer sound is very very clear but some noise ... and marantz and presonus have nice sound not better than behringer but have no noise and win this fight... i think that noise from behringer can eliminate by some settings in equalizer and after this win behringer :)
In my case I like the presonus more..... With the c1 I hate that his, en u have consider floor noise when u push it with vocal processing........ Appreciate ur vidz brodi 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think the Presonus M7 is the best sounding microphone from this list. The Behringer C1 sounded to sharp in my opinion and all the other microphones sounded too muddy. But of course all of that can be fixed with some EQ, but I just think the Presonus M7 has the best sound quality.
The Presonus sounds good, but I just saw that they removed the $50 promotion price to $70... so unfortunately it's not under $50 anymore like the rest 😞
I feel like people who call the C-1 sharp must be using Beyerdynamic headphones or something with a similar frequency response. It's nowhere near as sharp as a TLM 103 which everyone praises. Namesake does a lot I guess.
Good video. Unfortunately the noise floor of all these mics disqualify them from professional-level recoding, especially spoken-word, like voice over. You have to do some digging, but these mics have 17-19 dBA noise floor. That’s way too high.
@@chrisw5742 It is difficult to answer that question, because it all depends on multiple factors. Like what kind of recording space you have, your use case, or even the sound of your voice. There is no one-size-fits-all mic.
@@rickonmic Yep I have a bass range voice. I had a TLM 102 for a while but my voice was too bassy for it. I am thinking an elam 251 style mic would suit me better?? BTW thanks for taking the time to reply. :-)
Don’t be too hasty with the self-noise dismissals. The AT2020 is a very popular budget mic and it has a self noise of 20dB. While I’m not a fan of this mic, Billie Eilish recorded Ocean Eyes with it and that turned out okay. The MXL 770 is also 20dB. The AT4050, quite a respected mic, has self noise of 17dB. I have a tube mic I’ve recorded thousands of TV and radio spots on, the original Rode Classic. It’s the same mic Thom Yorke used for some of the songs on OK Computer. I just checked the spec sheet and its noise is 32dB.
Behringer C1 using in my studio since 8.5 yrs and i use a bit expensive also tlm 103 akg c414xl2 and warm audio wa 251 and other 11 brands of mics even I dnt find NT1a or c414 xl 2 so open clarity like c1
Did you use the scarlett solo to record those vocals? I have a Behringer C-3, which I believe is the exact same as the C-1 but with more control, and I have the scarlett solo. I have an issue with noise, but it didn't seem like you had the same issue with your setup. Did you maybe eliminate some of it when mixing?
The behringer sounded amazing maybe just too sharp but you could probably use it for instruments too. Im surprised. Will you a behringer c1 vs the Neumann rip off? For best mic under $50?
Man I have my C1 more then 10years and the plastic adapter never broke... Don't know what people do with it but my own is still there! The mike does have a litle bit of noise but nothing a denoiser can't deal with!
Edward can you compare behringer C1 with warm audio cx12 plz 🙏🥺🙏according to me behringer c1 is 95 % same like cx-12 am using this mic since 2015😎 i have total 18 brands of mics from dollar 50 to dollar 1000 but behringer c1 is exceptional if someone really get it working else he/she will hear only noise and nothing else😅

Beringer C1 sound great to me. loved the clarity. every words were clearly heard.
sounds noisy asf
Dude killed it on the vocals
I don't know why the best music materials are on these review videos

Behringer is so bright and nice highs and mids
but its noisy af
But it has a lot of noise that you can't remove without loss of details of voice even with paid plugins on post-production.
Ive had the Behringer C1 for maybe a decade now, and fun fact....it has a wind sock underneath the grill.

Bro I made some quality bangers with the C1 , that mic sounds damn good ! But a few good falls & bye bye 😅😅
It fell once and i broke and i put it back together with super glue now the quality sucks

Behringer & Personas won the comparison❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good comparison thank you !
Wow thats perfect for recording, I would love to have one.
I'm liking the sound of the Behrigner
Behringer and Presonus - ouff NOISY backroundyyee
Just bought the Behringer C-1 but the USB variant for 60 bucks, I think its the best mic you can buy for this price range.

You can sing brother 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you!!
Whats the tittle of the song @EdwardSmithMusic
Thanks your videos are amazing, sadly after hearing you sing I feel I suck at it lol. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
so we learned that it's not the mics, it's the voice. Ok thanks, now where do I find a better voice for under 50?
The behringer c1 was my first mic ever :)
Are these okay for rooms that are not sound reduction treated?
Thanks Edward, very much appreciated 😀💚
Thanks for watching!!
@@EdwardSmithMusic hello bro, I am also faced with a choice, tlm 49, 67, shur ksm 42sh, telefunken tf 11, 39, can you advise?
best sounding microphones for the budget
Great review
dope content as usual
Appreciate it!
Thanks!
Can't decide between Behringer or PreSonus
Beautiful voice ❤
Thank you so much!!
any of them but the boringjer. that boosted treble is not detail it’s just harsh high frequency.
You should make a video about how to learn to sing, would be the next step in groving your channel)
dude this is fantastic what the hell??? and all for free viewing tysm
You should compare all to Superlux E205 it would smash all with a sound quality and good price.
Tascam because i have 😊

Those were all great. I could use any of them and be happy. Personally I enjoyed the bass bump on the Tascam. But maybe it's just my headphones.
C1 👌
I've had a behringer since 2010
PRESONUS HAS THE BEST SOUND BEAUTFUL
Behringer c1 ❤ I have in my studio

I was thinking about the awnser for one year...... No why the hell would a mic come with software
I love you bro
Where Did you do get that pop filter from

Tascam , only mic not to many lows , all the rest were muddy

Behringer is very good at mix
I have 48v adapter should i buy interface the red with with gain switches or no need ?
Marantz MPM 1000 was the best for me
I think the Presonus is best. Behringer is too bright

Can I buy second hand shure sm7b from you costing 100 dollars? On Amazon I can't afford one. Thus it also requires a cloadlifter
If no then there is no problem
i think that the behringer is too bright and sharp , the marantz is warm enough ,the presonus is the best in my opinion.
I have the presonus m7 and i dont get good vocals. As an Interface i have the Audiobox USB 96 from Presonus too.
Are u mad am. Using the same change ur driver use asio and pro tools 12 hd
I hope they might be great

I used C1 in a lot of my songs but lately I realise that the mic is not relevant anymore because it sounds worst.
Can't agree about the Behringer, it's too bright and sounds unnatural
