@@RoadPatina I've owned 9 Subarus and 4 gc8. I currently own a jdm WRX STI type RA gc8. I know these cars like the back of my hand. It's not different in the US. GC8 is the chassis code. "G" is indicative of the 90's Impreza body, "C" is for sedan, "8" is for 2.0L turbo. Check your vin I guarantee it doesn't say "C" anywhere.
Coupes are GM8, GC8 are sedan, GF8 for wagon.
Different in the USA.
