I call their perfect harmony blend "PENTAHELIX HARMONY" (Think of DNA but with 5 vocal strands twisting around each other instead of two...creating a vocal masterpiece.) :)
That's not exactly true and really undermines the group and their contribution. They all arrange. And Ben isn't even in on every song... they said they bring him in on the intricate arrangements. But if you watch the fan-made compilations of them arranging, PTX was working out songs like Happy as a group, then they said they would send what they had to Ben who would fine tune it and make the sheet music. Or he, Scott, Avi and Kevin were together working on a Christmas album. In their very earliest career, they would put up social media polls and then take the song chosen and make a video in a matter of hours. There's even a video of them making a rough arrangement on the spot. Kevin was where their version of New Rules x Are You That Somebody originated and he completely changed Kirstin's intent for Water's lyrics when he arranged it with a beat. Those are just off the top of my head. Ben has *helped* them with both Grammy wins and a lot of their songs but he doesn't do the arranging in a bubble, there's a reason all the members are names on their Grammys with Ben.

Well, the deal fell through with the studio time, so the band decided to do this video in Avi and Kevin’s apartment. So they basically did everything on a $400.00 budget, in the closet, and the kitchen. WithFifgen arranging it, they won their first Grammy. (Source was their Grammy acceptance speech by Scott Hoying)

They do a private performance for their cover Valentine it is so good. Also have you did their Popspring performance 2016. They do 3 orignals and The evolution of Michael Jackson live. So fun to watch.

It’s really a great way to hear how amazing their originals are and also see how great of a show they put on.
I think the main thing you lose on the live recording is Avi and Kevin aren't picked up quite as well. And still amazing 🤩. Another great reaction, thanks!
There are a couple of Live Nation full concert videos still floating around TH-cam that feature proper audio balance for everyone, including Avi and Kevin.
Mitch is a true counter tenor..higher than a soprano..which is rare..
The live performance just proves that a little reverb and mixing is all they need.

Ben is a major contributor, but it really is a collaborative process. Even while recording they all give input and may change the arrangement.
