Grinch is the anti-hero who confronts and attacks the crass materialist corruption of Christmas by The Who’s. Yes he is a traumatized misanthrope who was ostracized and alienated. But he is green and monstrous because he retains the split off but authentic power of the instincts. He rails against the superficiality of The Who’s and strips them of all their BS societal trappings, meanwhile his angel anima, represented by Cindy Lou Who, who also questions the true meaning of Christmas, connects to him and his long lost relatedness. You should really watch the Jim Carrey live action movie version. Envy is just barely scratching the surface. There is a whole lot more grinch being shared on social media than MFing Santa.
