My dream bike! Before I got to bed I watch chill ride videos like this. Considering how expensive and out of my league this bike is, I just imagine or hope to ride it in my dreams while sleeping. Makes me happy. It keeps me going, at the least, in these hard times. Thank you for this!
yeah its crazy overpriced wish it was more like 9000 euros and maybe 20kg lighter :C as it is, i will get the NC750X with manual transmission which is also a great bike
The price is because of the amount of technology it has, just check the DCT and non-DCT NC750X. If you don't want to invest on a premium scooter like this, try a 2nd hand Burgman 400 and see if it does what you want. It is tested and proven, on-road only and 30HP, but it will take you there with comfort. The 650 Executive (no longer in production) is a monster, I tried and it is a 2-wheel Cadillac, if you want to give it a go.
Never has a ride only review been this engaging. The sound alone is all the words you could ever say about this bike. And that's the stock exhaust! Love this bike!

It's probably the best of it's class from other scooters, I believe. By the idea that the rider can disengage the DCT and twist the throttle without moving or shifting through gears by your left hand via buttons. It is unique and It's brilliant.
The extra "offroad" footpegs are a must in this bike. Really improves ergonomics and handling in the twisties. Since I installed them in mine, I've never used the platforms anymore for normal riding. Now I only use the platforms on long rides in the highway to relax my back and stretch my legs
It's an alien... I own the 2021 model for more than a year now. So I can see you didn't open full gas on your 0-100 before the 2nd gear change wich happened too early compared to full gas opening. The throttle by wire adjust the DCT's response to your gas inputs. As you wrote, you didn't corner aggresively since things start scraping after 45 degrees only. As many mentioned, the optional additional pegs make it a totally different experience. Last point I'd like to make, when you live in a city and sometimes go to work at 3:30am like me, your neighbours will appreciate the fact you can be surprisingly quiet with it...

I'm only trying to explain how the latest version of Honda's DCT works with throttle by wire on the 2021 and after models of X-ADV and NC750 and likely NT1100... I'm far from being an experienced rider as you are, but I try to remind your audience that some so-called scooters, be it the T-Max, AK550, Forza750, X-ADV and likely some more, have riding abilities that match motorcycles, since they share the same laws of physic and architecture. Since the question was if it is a motorcycle or a scooter, my opinion is that whatever argument you take to put it in one or the other category, as far as balance and cornering are concerned, they are all the same. Last thing, I want to thank you for all the videos you provide, wish you safe and pleasurable rides, and again excuse myself for my bad way of presenting informations if I sound like an expert wanna-be, which I'm not.

Scooter, Motorbike, Adventure vehicle...whatever, it's got two wheels and leans in the corners. Besides it's identical to the NC750X except for bodywork. I might be old (I even got the Boomerdots in my comment XD) but I totally see the practicality of that vehicle.
I had a chance to ride one at the beginning of this year. Very fun, very agile, yet still very stable thanks to the long wheelbase. Susepnsion felt well balanced. The engine and drive train feel very high quality. The engine is still a bit boring and underpowered for the weight of the X-ADV, but they definitley improved on the sound. The only thing i found irrtating when riding it through the twisties is the lack of a tank to grip on with your knees. Makes it difficult to trust it when riding it quickly.
Effectively they could add 10cv more on a 750cc, with an Eco map to save fuel. And take some weight off. That would be perfect. Probably next model in 2025 will be in this direction. That is what most of the customer ask.
I consider it to be a big a beautiful trail with a transmission via chain and its 750cc cylinder, and an easy manoeuvrable scooter in the city with its automatic mode 👌🏻

It's defenitly a Scooter, auto gearbox (ethen thou first scuter were manual), nearly step throu design... it's a scooter, but nothing against it (or scooter in generla), it's pretty cool, somthing different...
It depends on what your criteria are for a scooter. Is it only step through? DCT? Is it a certain HP mark? If it’s the auto gearbox (DCT) then the Honda AT, NC750 and all other non-manual motorcycles are per definition a scooter as well. And what about the HD Livewire (electric scooter?). If it’s based on the riding position and the way you get on it then yes, it’s more scooter. I love this thumper of a bike. Sounds epic, looks epic and it’s more of a bike than a scooter in my mind. That is my personal opinion tho 🤙🏼

You need to add the additional footpegs for a sporty feeling. Then, very important, you have to adjust the suspension. Preload is out of the box not adequate for average european bikers. But then, you‘ll love it…I do! And I owned a R1200GS LC before. In my opinion, it’s a fantastic bike. It‘s got nothing in common with a scooter.
@@GJS-live I don't miss the GS at all. Of course the GS is stronger, but the X-ADV is stronger than the 59PS suggest. I can easily follow any bike on the country road with it. When things get very curvy, the X-ADV is even more maneuverable and even a little faster than the GS. Wind and weather protection are excellent. The chassis is very balanced and extremely stable. I've ridden a few motorcycles - KTM 1050, 1290 Adventure and Super Duke R, various GSs, R9T, XTZ1200 to name just a few. But I've never had so much fun.

If you consider to buy a X ADV you have also to install footpads! Afterwarsds you will have the feeling you would ride a motorbike and not a scooter. For daily use its the perfect bike!
It's a scooter to me, and one I seriously consider to replace my current scooter, a suzuki burgman 650( still love this old whale though). Been riding scooter for quite some time now and I really encourage you to try more of them, T-MAX 560 would definitely suit your riding!
It's not a scooter at all, I have this for year now, and I drew with it all forests in neighbourhood, all dirty roads, with no pavement, no scooter would capable to do that. You just must instal foot pegs on it, then it becomes super comfortable in standing riding, your back is always firm, legs little bent perfect for off-road conditions. Previously I had Honda Forza 300, X-adv is completely different thing. And don't forget that X-Adv won 2019 Gibraltar Rally, leaving behind all KTM 790s, Husqvarna 701s, KTM 690Es, and BMW F 800 GSs.
This type of bike is precious to end up with scooter prejudice 'real' bikers have. In essence, it's a nc750 frame and engine and transmission with a scooter body type and adventure bike look and suspension. So it's not a bike or scooter but both. Being automatic is not necessarily a scooter characteristic nowadays.
@@Schaaf yes but for example, burgman 650 is considered a scooter but the transmission is far from being a variomatic...so even some tradition scooters have motorbike gearboxes (svr800 is another one)
Can you do far travel with this or better go for an Africa Twin? Seems like it has enough power with 57hp and is on the comfy side. Tyre size could be an issue, when you have a flat somewhere on the butt of the world.

Dct ... For me is a bike, forks like a bike, bike chassis... Is a bike not a scooter. Did they put cruise control or it's too expensive for Honda? It's lack 20hp i guess. . . . Considering the weight

@@pavel7311 if its in sport mode or if u set user mode to shift at higher rpm it will do it automaticly when u breake (brake) hard. (Not sure bout the spellin) or if u switch to manual mode if you downshift when on high or medium rpm it will do it...

Riding x-adv for 2 years. Made 23000 km. Using for daily commute + adventure touring. Best bike.

It's not loud actually, it just has a nice sound

@@Schaaf yes but for example, burgman 650 is considered a scooter but the transmission is far from being a variomatic...so even some tradition scooters have motorbike gearboxes (svr800 is another one)

Can you do far travel with this or better go for an Africa Twin? Seems like it has enough power with 57hp and is on the comfy side. Tyre size could be an issue, when you have a flat somewhere on the butt of the world.
You could for sure. But the Africa Twin has much more suspension comfort

DCT does it. I have new NC750xd and its the same. Its the most delightful thing when it downshifts...

@@pavel7311 if its in sport mode or if u set user mode to shift at higher rpm it will do it automaticly when u breake (brake) hard. (Not sure bout the spellin) or if u switch to manual mode if you downshift when on high or medium rpm it will do it...
I hate this gimmik. If you go engine breaking into a curve it sudfenly adds a little burst of speed you and the curve didn't ask for. WTF?
