He didn’t understand last parts. The phone has a feature of pre recorded whole year messages She and her partner promise to meet someday. Earlier the whole crashing thing happened they met each other in Switzerland and last part was in that Switzerland not North Korea he left North Korea and army. And go for “while you were sleeping”.
He didn't actually see the whole series. He should've understood that smartphones were a thing in N Korea, as Seo Dan played games on a smartphone which were 'purchased' at a store. She described it to Gu Seung Jun too

tanmay never understood the phone messages wala theory.......the messages were pre sent when he was in south korea and each messages were sent automatically on the days it had to.....he didnt take the phone with him in north korea.......so obviously u can talk only about basic stuffs where she can feel his presence!!!!!! I disagree! I wanted to like sitr but couldn't. I thought it was frustrating and dumb and didn't make sense. I thought it kept the two romantic leads artificially apart and apart forever. They were obviously right for each other from the very beginning. There weren't any good reasons that kept them apart. Maybe the tiniest bit at the start but no good reasons after that. I couldn't keep watching it. Had to read about it to see what finally happened.

My brother, who generally hates everything I like, watched this one in one sitting. So, literally everyone likes it. I'm sure Tanmay would too.

It's one of those dramas that literally leaves a void in you which you won't be able to fill with any other drama at least that happened to me... Ps if you want to start another one after that bcuz you feel lost try Awaken it's also a really good mystery drama
K-Dramas are wholesome in a way that they actually take in consideration of the audience. A man or a woman can instantly relate to the characters because the characters are written like that. Bollywood on the other hand is fixated on the 80s-90s narrative. Some ugly rikshawala, chaiwala, cylinderwala falls in love with a hot rich girl and expects her to become a sati savitri for him. The "Love Story" is basically an aspiration of patriarchal mentality. Even if we get over the class thing and show a man with some education and degree, he is still shown the same: A bully who wants to be with a subservient woman.

I disagree! I wanted to like sitr but couldn't. I thought it was frustrating and dumb and didn't make sense. I thought it kept the two romantic leads artificially apart and apart forever. They were obviously right for each other from the very beginning. There weren't any good reasons that kept them apart. Maybe the tiniest bit at the start but no good reasons after that. I couldn't keep watching it. Had to read about it to see what finally happened.

It's one of those dramas that literally leaves a void in you which you won't be able to fill with any other drama at least that happened to me...

K-Dramas are wholesome in a way that they actually take in consideration of the audience. A man or a woman can instantly relate to the characters because the characters are written like that.
Bollywood on the other hand is fixated on the 80s-90s narrative. Some ugly rikshawala, chaiwala, cylinderwala falls in love with a hot rich girl and expects her to become a sati savitri for him. The "Love Story" is basically an aspiration of patriarchal mentality. Even if we get over the class thing and show a man with some education and degree, he is still shown the same: A bully who wants to be with a subservient woman.
